TVFCATEOD Chapter 30

Hmm, what’s this? Slapping someone and giving them a candy date?

Bai Qingqing picked up the delicate diamond earring and hummed, “Brother, where did you get these earrings? Was it at the mall this afternoon?”

Fu Chen raised his hand and pinched her fleshy earlobe. The girl’s fair and lovely earlobe had a piercing that wasn’t noticeable unless one paid attention. When they were at the jewelry store in the afternoon, she had set her eyes on that pink ring and happily bought it.

When he was scanning around, he saw a pair of similar earrings and, without thinking, took them for her.

Fu Chen casually replied, “Just picked them up.”

The man’s icy and slender fingers kneaded her earlobe. Her ears were somewhat sensitive, and she felt a peculiar sensation that spread to her neck.

“You just casually picked up such beautiful earrings?” Bai Qingqing forced herself to endure the tingling sensation and said, “Try putting them on for me.”

She handed the earrings to the man and took out a small mirror from her space to look at herself.

Fu Chen silently looked at the earrings for two seconds, thinking about how she had been bullied and cried earlier. He resigned himself to serving her, holding the delicate earrings between his fingers and carefully helping her put them on.

“Is it on?” Bai Qingqing asked.

Fu Chen released her soft earlobe and said, “It’s on.”

Bai Qingqing excitedly held the mirror and looked left and right. She was very satisfied with the gift he gave her. She turned her head and smiled at him, saying, “Thank you, brother.”

Fu Chen thought to himself that although his sister was delicate, she was easy to please.

A knock on the door sounded from outside.

Bai Qingqing immediately put away the small mirror and said, “Brother, let’s go out. It’s probably time for dinner.”

The two of them walked out of the room one after the other. The people gathered at the dining table looked over together. When they saw Bai Qingqing’s red and teary eyes, Xiao Yang immediately asked, “Qingqing, why are you crying? Did the captain scold you?”

He hadn’t seen Bai Qingqing all day and thought that Fu Chen had scolded her because of the incident in the morning.

Shen Mingxuan’s lips curled into a cold smile. If Fu Chen had really scolded Bai Qingqing, that would be a good thing. The atmosphere between them would clearly be more intimate than before.

Cheng Rui’s eyes darkened as he looked at Fu Chen with a faint expression. He tightened his hand that was resting on the table and thought that he might need to have a talk with him.

Bai Qingqing hurriedly explained, “Brother didn’t scold me. I accidentally bumped into something.”

She sat down next to Cheng Rui and reached out to pick up his bowl to take care of him as usual, but he held her wrist to stop her. “No need, you eat.”

Bai Qingqing looked at him with her slightly reddened eyes and said, “Your injury…”

“It’s much better,” Cheng Rui said in a relaxed tone. “You should eat.”

Bai Qingqing said to him, “You must not force yourself. If you can’t handle it, call me.”

Bai Tiantian interjected, “I can help too.”

Xiao Yang had a lot of grievances pent up in his stomach. After dinner, he deliberately walked in front of Bai Qingqing, hoping to receive a bit of care from her.

A man getting a little injured was nothing, especially when it was a fight-related injury. The main point was to seek comfort from the person in one’s heart. He was like a little injured puppy seeking attention from its owner, walking around the owner and hoping to be caressed.

Someone actively approached him to improve their relationship. How could Bai Qingqing let go of this opportunity? She glanced secretly at Fu Chen, who was talking to Liang Zhiyu, and waved at him.

Xiao Yang, feeling like he was being sneaky, his heart beating a bit faster, ran over and whispered, “Qingqing sister.”

Bai Qingqing instinctively raised her hand and touched his head, lowering her voice, “Let’s go to the balcony.”

Xiao Yang nodded eagerly.

The two of them separated once again and went to the balcony. To prevent attracting zombies, they closed the curtains inside the suite, leaving only the cool moonlight pouring in from the outside balcony, providing decent visibility.

There was a reclining chair on the balcony. Bai Qingqing asked Xiao Yang to sit down and took out some medicine from her space.

She stood in front of the tall boy, squeezed out some ointment, and applied it to his face with a cotton swab. Her touch was not intentionally gentle but rather a bit forceful.

Xiao Yang made a hissing sound, “It hurts a bit.”

Bai Qingqing glared at him. “I thought you didn’t feel pain.”

Xiao Yang felt somewhat wronged, his handsome face looking unpleasant. He resisted the urge to look at her.

“Are you angry?” Bai Qingqing looked at him, her eyes lowered. “Xiao Yang, I appreciate you standing up for me, but being impulsive like this will only bring trouble to me.”

Xiao Yang looked up at her, his expression showing a slight change.

Bai Qingqing continued, “Have you ever thought about how others would view me if you and Shen Mingxuan got into a fight?”

“Qingqing…” Xiao Yang started.

“Because of me, you and your brothers will have disagreements. The entire team will think of me as a troublemaker, intentionally playing mind games.”

A regretful expression appeared on Xiao Yang’s face as he said, “I couldn’t bear seeing Shen Mingxuan treat you like that. I was angry.” He stared at her hand. “He hurt you.”

“Just rescuing me from his clutches is enough. Brother will punish him,” Bai Qingqing said.

Xiao Yang’s expression turned gloomy. In the end, he wasn’t strong enough. She had so much trust and reliance on Fu Chen. Perhaps in her eyes, he was just an impulsive and reckless boy.

In the future, Bai Qingqing would have to pursue other characters, and it would be best to avoid these fighting-like battlegrounds. Otherwise, considering Fu Chen’s personality, even if she had spatial abilities, he would kick her out of the team.

But when it came to this point, some sweet moments were necessary.

“Do you have any other injuries? Let me take a look,” she asked gently.

Xiao Yang hesitated and said, “There’s a slight injury on my abdomen.” Neither he nor Shen Mingxuan held back and used their fists on each other.

Shen Mingxuan was particularly cunning, aiming for unseen areas. He had more injuries on his abdomen.

“Let me see,” Bai Qingqing pleaded.

Xiao Yang felt somewhat embarrassed but lifted his shirt to reveal his waist, exposing his muscular abdomen with a few bruises.

His muscles weren’t as well-built as Cheng Rui’s, and in comparison, they appeared somewhat thin and weak. As a tall and young boy, he exuded a youthful aura.

Bai Qingqing cleared her throat, squatting down and looking up at him. “Then let me apply the medicine for you.”

Xiao Yang didn’t dare to look at her and nodded with his head tilted to the side.

The corner of Bai Qingqing’s lips curved. Innocent boys were easy to gain favor with. As she looked at the various grotesque bruises on his abdomen, a hint of apology flashed in her eyes. She diligently focused on applying the medicine to him.

The bruises were covered with the cool ointment, causing a slight stinging sensation that made Xiao Yang involuntarily hiss.

Bai Qingqing looked up at him. “Do I need to be gentler?”

“N-No,” Xiao Yang’s face flushed with embarrassment as he stammered to explain, “The ointment is a bit cold.”

Bai Qingqing lightly chuckled. “It’ll feel better soon.”

Xiao Yang looked at the girl in front of him, squatting and smiling gently. Moonlight spilled onto her beautiful face, making her look like a goddess, captivating the heart.

While Bai Qingqing was applying the medicine to Xiao Yang, the curtains on the balcony were suddenly pulled open. The people in the room stared with wide eyes at the scene.

The room’s light pierced through, and Bai Qingqing and Xiao Yang turned their heads simultaneously. They had a sense of embarrassment and guilt, as if they were caught doing something shocking and scandalous. Especially the shocked expressions of the onlookers made it seem like they had done something extraordinary.

From the perspective of those in the living room, it did give rise to some imaginative thoughts.

Fu Chen’s face turned dark as he forcefully pushed open the door and walked up to Bai Qingqing. He grabbed her and said sternly, “What are you doing?”

Bai Qingqing looked bewildered, holding the ointment in her hand. “I’m applying medicine to Xiao Yang.”

“So, it’s applying medicine.” Bai Tiantian blushed, her eyes flickering. She said, “I thought…”

Liang Zhiyu and Cheng Rui looked somewhat uneasy, while Shen Mingxuan’s eyes were cold and filled with displeasure.

Bai Qingqing naturally knew that they had all misunderstood, so she pretended to be innocent. “What did you think?”

Bai Tiantian shook her head vigorously like a rattle drum.

“It’s nothing,” Liang Zhiyu pushed his glasses and spoke in a gentle and faint smile. “Why did you hide to apply medicine for Xiao Yang?”

“I’ll go rest first.” Xiao Yang, feeling like he was being killed by Fu Chen’s gaze, suddenly stood up. He tugged at his wound, making a hissing sound, and hurriedly rushed toward the living room in a fluster.

Cheng Rui’s gaze slightly darkened. He glanced at Bai Qingqing and Fu Chen before turning around and returning to his room.

The others left the balcony one by one, leaving only Bai Qingqing and Fu Chen. He held the girl’s hand and said, “You didn’t listen to big brother’s words again, huh?”

He did mention before not to get too close to Xiao Yang. That kid can’t resist teasing.

Bai Qingqing sighed. “Big brother, Shen Mingxuan was really rough. Xiao Yang got injured in many places. He’s so pitiful.”

Fu Chen and Xiao Yang were the closest, almost treating him like a little brother. Of course, he wouldn’t have any objections.

Instead of seeking Liang Zhiyu’s help for his injuries, Xiao Yang came to Bai Qingqing for sympathy. That kid has a knack for flirting with girls, and it’s quite annoying.

“I’m not blaming you.” Fu Chen pulled her back to the living room. “Xiao Yang can handle it. He’s tough. If he’s injured, Liang Zhiyu will take care of him. Just ignore him.”

Bai Qingqing obediently nodded. “I understand.”

The Thunder Squad planned to stay in Huacheng for a few days to search for supplies. The next day, everyone prepared to go to the hospital to collect usable medical resources.

After the apocalypse, not only were there shortages of daily necessities, but many pharmaceutical companies had also shut down, leading to a global shortage of medicine. Many people died from minor illnesses, making the search for medical supplies crucial.

The central hospital in Huacheng was large, consisting of two main buildings. Having been abandoned for half a year, it gave off a creepy vibe from the outside.

Bai Qingqing held Fu Chen’s hand nervously and followed behind him.

The team split into two groups. Bai Tiantian, Shen Mingxuan, and Liang Zhiyu went to Building A, while Bai Qingqing, Fu Chen, Xiao Yang, and Cheng Rui went to Zone B. They agreed to meet at the entrance after two hours.

Since it was daytime, there weren’t many zombies outside the hospital. As they stepped into the building, they could feel a chilling wind blowing.

The three of them walked quietly in the corridor, carefully searching as they made their way towards the storage area. They reached it without encountering any danger and opened the door to enter.

Bai Qingqing collected any medicines she could find into her spatial storage. After all, her spatial ability had reached Level 3 and expanded tenfold, allowing her to store a lot of supplies.

Just as she finished collecting items from the shelves, something suddenly lunged at her, its rotten face twisted in a horrifying manner.
