MDMSC Chapter 7

Then Can You Be a Little Gentler?

No matter how you looked at it, that had been Fang Anyu’s first time—his first time in every sense. A sudden, completely unexpected first time. But humans were born to enjoy pleasure. Although he had been shocked and caught off guard last night, strictly speaking, the experience could not be considered terrible.

It was just that no one had ever asked Fang Anyu how he felt. He did not know what his feelings should count as, so he had no way to answer Jun Yueyue.

Before the two of them went downstairs for dinner, Jun Yueyue took the little notebook from Fang Anyu’s hand and wrote again—

If you can’t remember, take your time thinking about it. We’ll get divorced soon, after we come back from meeting my grandfather.

She stuffed the notebook back to Fang Anyu, then went downstairs first for dinner. A while later, the servant went to urge him again, and only then did Fang Anyu come downstairs with the notebook.

This time, the four of them sat quietly at the table and ate. During the meal, Fang Anyan kept looking in Fang Anyu’s direction.

Fang Anyu kept his head lowered, staring at the little notebook in his palm under the table. There was only a bowl of porridge in front of him, and he had barely touched it. He looked completely distracted.

At last, Fang Anyan could not help walking over to Fang Anyu’s side. He saw the little notebook in his hand, saw the words on it, and flipped through the previous pages as well. Immediately, he glared at Jun Yueyue again.

“What are you saying all this to my brother for?!” Fang Anyan’s tone was extremely unpleasant.

Jun Yueyue paused mid-bite and looked at Fang Anyan as if she were looking at an idiot.

“This is between me and your brother. If I don’t tell him, am I supposed to tell you?”

“What do you take my brother for? What do you want to give him? What can you even give him?”

Fang Anyan threw out three questions in a row. “You learned this act from that bunch of shady friends of yours, didn’t you? But my brother isn’t one of the little lovers hanging around your friends. Don’t use this trick on him!”

Fang Anyan said, “The Fang family does indeed need financial support right now, but when you married my brother, both families signed an agreement. This is a partnership between the two families. Don’t go too far!”

Jun Yueyue put down her chopsticks, wiped her mouth, turned toward him, and asked in return, “What do *you* take your brother for? A two-year-old child?”

“Do you think he doesn’t understand any of this?” Jun Yueyue asked seriously.

Fang Anyan froze. His mouth opened, but no words came out.

The two of them glared at each other like fighting roosters, and the atmosphere grew tense for a moment. Sitting opposite them, Jun Yu had always been silent and quiet, but this time she could not help putting down her chopsticks and saying softly, “Sister, Brother Anyan, please stop arguing.”

This was the first time Jun Yueyue had heard the female lead speak. As expected of the female lead, her voice was unexpectedly pleasant. When Jun Yueyue had read the novel, although it was a melodramatic story, she had liked the character settings of the male and female leads very much. After transmigrating here, the male lead’s character setting had completely collapsed, making her so annoyed her hands itched. But the female lead had not yet ruined Jun Yueyue’s impression of her. So when Jun Yueyue heard Jun Yu, who had been sitting there like background scenery, speak, she turned her head almost instantly.

After Jun Yu spoke, she felt a little regretful. This older sister of hers would pick a fight even when nothing was wrong, and she had never spoken to Jun Yu in a pleasant tone. By saying this, Jun Yu was basically inviting humiliation.

But she had not expected Jun Yueyue to merely stare at her for a moment with what could even be called gentleness, then nod.

“Okay. We won’t argue.”

The female lead really was a little white flower. That secretly panicked little look in her eyes was quite consistent with what had been written in the book.

Jun Yu froze. A moment later, she lowered her head and drank a mouthful of soup, only to choke under Jun Yueyue’s strange stare. Even the sound of her choking was soft and delicate. It sounded very nice.

Jun Yueyue smiled. The original owner had almost never smiled at Jun Yu before, so Jun Yu was a little stunned.

At this moment, Fang Anyu also snatched the little notebook back from Fang Anyan’s hand and stuffed it into his own pocket. Then he looked at Fang Anyan and frowned slightly.

Fang Anyan pursed his lips and sat back down in his chair.

And just like that, the two balloons that had been about to explode silently deflated, each sitting back down and eating properly.

After a harmonious meal, they returned to their rooms early to rest. Jun Yueyue had washed up before dinner, so she merely washed her hands briefly, then went into the bedroom to play on her phone. She had not touched this thing in several years. Many things in this world were different from the civilisation before the apocalypse she came from, but most things were broadly the same—for example, games!

Jun Yueyue downloaded a racing game similar to the one she used to play and lay on the bed, playing many rounds in one go. She blocked every incoming call that interrupted her halfway. It felt unbelievably satisfying.

When she was about to sleep, however, she realised that Fang Anyu had still not returned. Jun Yueyue walked around the living room and instinctively wanted to call out, but she only moved her lips before remembering that Fang Anyu could not hear at all. But just as she walked to the sofa, her footsteps suddenly stopped.

She remembered!

Then Jun Yueyue changed direction and walked toward the corner of the balcony. She opened a small door beside the balcony.

This was a storage room. Don’t ask why a luxury villa’s balcony had a storage room. Jun Yueyue had also found it very strange when she was reading it. But that was how the author had written it, so she would just assume rich people had this kind of strange hobby.

Sure enough, Fang Anyu was lying on the floor of the storage room, his entire body curled inside a quilt. The storage room was filled with flowers, packed full everywhere. As soon as the door opened, there was a damp smell mixed with the earthy scent of green plants.

In the plot, this part had been described. Fang Anyu’s clothes and belongings seemed to be in the master bedroom, but in reality, he was driven to the storage room to sleep every night. He would not take the initiative to tell Fang Anyan about this, so the original owner became even more unscrupulous. Once, when Fang Anyan was away on a business trip, she locked Fang Anyu in the storage room for two full days.

When Fang Anyan came back, the original owner secretly tried to let him out and pretend nothing had happened, but Fang Anyu had fainted in the storage room.

That incident was also one of the times when the male lead completely lost his temper. After the original owner was viciously scolded, she resented Fang Anyu. From then on, she treated him worse and worse, often secretly making things difficult for him and tormenting him in various ways. Later, she even began to hit him…

When Jun Yueyue read the book, she had hated the vicious female supporting character so much that she wished she could punch her head apart. But now that she herself had transmigrated into that vicious supporting character… seeing Fang Anyu pitifully curled up on the floor like a worm wrapped in a quilt gave Jun Yueyue an extremely strange feeling.

She walked to Fang Anyu’s side and patted the person sleeping on the floor. Fang Anyu emerged from the quilt and looked at Jun Yueyue through his messy curls. After a moment of dazedness, his expression became somewhat surprised.

On the night of their wedding, this woman had clearly told him that it was absolutely impossible for her to share a bed with him. She had driven him to the storage room to sleep and even forbidden him from placing his flowers on the balcony. She threatened that if he told Fang Anyan, she would make the Jun family withdraw their investment.

Fang Anyu did not know that the two families had signed an agreement before the marriage. He only knew that he had married this woman for money.

He did not dare tell Fang Anyan, so he could only keep curling up in the storage room. Only last night had he slept on the bed. But last night…

Jun Yueyue reached out toward him, interrupting Fang Anyu’s wandering thoughts. Fang Anyu fumbled around inside the quilt for a while before handing the little notebook to her.

Get up. Go back to the bedroom and sleep.

Fang Anyu took the notebook and glanced at it. He held the pen in his hand and several times seemed to want to write something, but in the end, he did not put pen to paper. A troubled expression appeared on his face.

Jun Yueyue waited for a full two minutes. She really became somewhat impatient and patted his shoulder again.

Only then did Fang Anyu hurriedly write—

Then can you be a little gentler?

Jun Yueyue frowned as she took the notebook. She stared at those words for quite a while, feeling as if she had been infected by Fang Anyu and could no longer understand what was written on the page.

Fang Anyu slowly bit his lip a little. Seeing Jun Yueyue’s reaction, he took the notebook back, got up, rolled up the quilt, and followed behind Jun Yueyue while holding it.

The two of them walked from the balcony back to the room. It was only when they reached the living room that Jun Yueyue finally understood what Fang Anyu meant.

Jun Yueyue burst out laughing. She grabbed the quilt in Fang Anyu’s arms, tossed it onto the sofa, snatched his little notebook, and suddenly felt like teasing him.

Why should I be gentler?

Fang Anyu took the notebook and looked down at it. Jun Yueyue waited about thirty seconds before he wrote a sentence.

Jun Yueyue snatched it over. After taking one eager glance, she laughed heartily.

What Fang Anyu had written was—

My stomach still hurts a little.

Why would it hurt? There were only a few possible reasons: the impact had been too hard, the number of times had been too many, or sitting on top had been too forceful.

This was not actually anything funny, but Jun Yueyue simply could not stop laughing. After quite a while, she finally managed to stop by leaning against Fang Anyu’s arm. Then she took the little notebook and, holding back laughter, wrote again—

If I insist on being very, very forceful and make you hurt, will you tell Fang Anyan?

Fang Anyu took the notebook and looked at it for a while. Slowly, he bit his lip. He raised his head and glanced at Jun Yueyue with that very troubled expression again. Only then did he write—

No.

Jun Yueyue started laughing uncontrollably again. Discussing how to bully someone with that same person in such a serious manner felt far too novel.

The way Fang Anyu looked so solemn, as if he were enduring humiliation and bearing a heavy burden, actually stirred Jun Yueyue a little. She especially wanted to clearly relive last night and see what Fang Anyu looked like when he bit his lip and was thoroughly bullied.

Jun Yueyue pulled Fang Anyu into the bedroom, deliberately grabbed his hand, and threw him onto the bed. Then she wrapped her arms around Fang Anyu’s neck and sat on his lap.

Fang Anyu’s expression was incredibly amusing. He looked especially like the small animals Jun Yueyue had hunted in the early days after the apocalypse. After falling into her trap, they were clearly panicked and flustered, but as soon as she approached, they would squeak and scream, trying to threaten and resist her.

Fang Anyu could not make any sounds, but his expression perfectly embodied the words “squeaking and screaming.”

It had been a long time since Jun Yueyue had been made this happy by anything or anyone. Tonight, her laughter had barely stopped.

She looped her arms around Fang Anyu’s neck, met his clear, bright eyes that were like zombie crystal cores, and slowly leaned toward his pale-coloured lips.

Jun Yueyue: He’s a little captivating.
