MDMSC Chapter 5

Don’t Touch My Brother Again!

“Jun Yue! What the hell are you doing?!”

Jun Yueyue was grabbing Fang Anyu’s hair. When she turned back and saw Fang Anyan running toward them, his expression ferocious and the veins on his forehead bulging, she had a moment where she almost thought what she was seeing was not Fang Anyan, but a zombie gone berserk.

Halfway over, he even kicked the sofa, but he ignored the pain and hopped forward. Jun Yueyue was still holding Fang Anyu’s hair. Seeing him painfully gripping the toilet and beginning to dry-heave after she had pinched his Adam’s apple just now, she let go of him. Before Fang Anyan could pounce in, she shut the bathroom door and swiftly locked it.

Fang Anyan could not brake in time and crashed straight into the door with a loud bang. His eyes looked as if they were about to split open as he pounded desperately on the door, howling from outside.

“Jun Yue, what are you doing?! Open the door! If you dare touch my brother, I swear you’ll regret it—”

But Jun Yueyue ignored him. The door looked fairly sturdy, and Fang Anyan was not a real zombie, so he would not be able to break through that easily. She watched Fang Anyu dry-heave a few times but fail to vomit anything up. Frowning, she reached out, grabbed his hair, and forced him to tilt his head back.

“I don’t know how to explain this in a way you can understand, but you need to throw up now.”

After so many years in the apocalypse, Jun Yueyue had seen this kind of thing often. Many people who had been starving for too long would go out scavenging supplies and suddenly see food, then eat like mad. The consequence was that their brains could not react in time. By the time they realised they could not eat anymore, the food was basically already piled up to their throats.

This was especially true for compressed food, and biscuits or instant noodles that expanded after absorbing liquid. They felt fine when swallowed, but after a while, they would cause pain as if the person were about to burst.

Where would there be doctors in the apocalypse? Jun Yueyue only knew the simplest and roughest method: find a way to make the person who had overeaten vomit. Although it was uncomfortable, it was the fastest and most effective way.

Usually, Jun Yueyue would simply punch them. After mutating, her fist had truly been the size of a sandbag. She could make even someone with nothing in their stomach vomit, let alone someone who had overeaten. So when encountering this situation, one punch solved everything.

She had intended to do the same. But what she was holding in her hand was Fang Anyu’s sweat-damp hair. His hair had a slight natural curl. It had not been obvious when dry, but now that it was wet, soft and curly in her hand, it gave off a very fragile, pitiful feeling. Especially paired with Fang Anyu’s pale face and tightly shut eyes, Jun Yueyue clenched her fist and discovered that she actually could not bring herself to strike him…

Outside, Fang Anyan was roaring loudly enough to startle the servants and Jun Yu over. Fang Anyan then roared at the servants,

“Get the spare key!”

Jun Yueyue listened to Fang Anyan’s exaggerated ghost-like yelling and almost decided not to bother anymore. But the way Fang Anyu was biting the corner of his lip reminded her of last night…

So, suppressing her disgust, she pried open Fang Anyu’s mouth and hooked her fingers hard against the back of his throat twice.

With a loud “wah,” Fang Anyu did not even have time to turn his head before he vomited all over her bathrobe and calves.

Fang Anyan’s eyes were bloodshot. In his mind, he had already imagined all kinds of scenes of his brother being bullied: his head being forced into the toilet to drink water, being made by that insane woman to do all sorts of strange things. He was about to conjure up an entire grand, tragic melodrama in his head.

But when the door was actually opened, he and everyone outside froze at the entrance.

They even subconsciously took a step back and held their breath.

Fang Anyu was grabbing Jun Yueyue’s bathrobe and still vomiting. The scene was too beautiful to look at. Jun Yu could not hold back a retch and almost vomited too.

The hatred on Fang Anyan’s face cracked apart completely. Holding his breath, he walked closer, yet had no idea where to begin helping.

Only Jun Yueyue stood there expressionlessly. She sighed somewhat helplessly, but did not even cover her nose.

This level of mess counted for nothing. The smell when a zombie’s belly was split open with a blade—that was the truly sour and refreshing one. Sometimes, for disguise, they always had to dig out zombie organs and smear them over themselves. That rotten smell could not be washed away even with water.

When your goal is simply to stay alive, you discover that there is nothing people cannot do.

And a bright, beautiful appearance, handsome looks, wealth—all of these external conditions cannot hide the truth of the human body itself. Eyes, ears, mouth, nose; every opening on the body is a source of filth. Many people know this, yet still cannot accept it.

So in this world, there will be people who love you when you are bright, beautiful, and in the prime of youth. But when you are tortured by illness, covered in filth, and your beauty no longer exists, they will cut off their affection for you. This is the inferior nature of humans.

Of course, Jun Yueyue did not love Fang Anyu. She did not mind because she had seen too much and had long since become numb to it.

“Close the door.”

Seeing Fang Anyan at a loss, Jun Yueyue waved at him, indicating for him to get lost. Then she reached out and patted Fang Anyu’s back twice to help him breathe after choking. After that, she turned back, switched on the shower, adjusted the water temperature, kicked open the floor drain with her foot, turned the water up to maximum, and sprayed Fang Anyu from head to toe.

Fang Anyan moved his lips, wanting to say something, but in the end, he said nothing. His arrogance had completely disappeared. After closing the bathroom door, he opened the bedroom window for ventilation and waited outside the whole time.

After transmigrating and sleeping with Fang Anyu on the first day, Jun Yueyue then took a mandarin-duck bath with Fang Anyu on the second day.

Although the beginning was not exactly beautiful, later, once Fang Anyu’s discomfort passed and he realised what he had done, he very obediently started cleaning up. In the end, he even helped Jun Yueyue scrub her back. When both of them had finished washing and the bathroom was clean, just before they were about to leave, he reached out and tugged at the sleeve of Jun Yueyue’s bathrobe.

Jun Yueyue had washed for too long. She had soaked in hot water excessively, and before that, she had even exercised. Now her whole body was flushed white and pink. Add to that the fact that this body’s appearance was naturally seductive, and her whole person looked like a flower blooming to the point of decadence.

“What?”

Jun Yueyue turned to look at Fang Anyu. He was also flushed all over, his hair wet. His curled fringe could not cover his full forehead. Jun Yueyue reached back and pushed his hair aside, raising her brows as she looked at him.

So the fringe had been the source of the deception. When it fell down fluffily, he looked so harmless. But once it was pushed up and she looked at him as a whole, he was still quite masculine.

Fang Anyu’s lips moved. He wanted to say thank you, but out of habit, he reached to touch himself, only to realise that he had nothing on but a bath towel. He did not have the little notebook he could write in.

He could not speak either, so he could only widen his eyes and look at Jun Yueyue.

Jun Yueyue waited for a while, then scoffed.

“The two of us can’t communicate. Let’s go out first. Keep soaking and we’ll both swell up.”

After saying that, she pulled the door open and walked out first.

Fang Anyu stood at the bathroom doorway, head lowered, no one knowing what he was thinking. After a long while, Fang Anyan, who had been waiting outside, saw Jun Yueyue come out but not his brother. Only then did he open the bathroom door and go in, pulling out Fang Anyu, who was standing there lost in thought for some unknown reason.

There had originally been two bathrobes in the bathroom. Jun Yueyue had worn one in the morning, and now she was wearing another, so Fang Anyu had nothing on but a bath towel.

This meant that the marks on his body were completely uncovered. After pulling Fang Anyu out, Fang Anyan looked at his brother and was left speechless, his face flushing red. The anger that had just subsided surged up again—

He turned and demanded, “What is going on?! Are you insane?!”

Jun Yueyue was already utterly exasperated with this male lead who seemed to explode every time he saw her, but she refused to lose verbally and casually replied,

“It’s even worse on me. Your brother’s pretty fierce in bed—he likes it like this. He wouldn’t be happy otherwise.”

Jun Yueyue dug her finger into her ear, taking advantage of the fact that Fang Anyu could not hear, and continued spouting nonsense at Fang Anyan.

“Why are you yelling again? Want me to show you mine too?”

Fang Anyan choked on his words, but then seemed to remember something and immediately retorted,

“That’s bullshit! You clearly—”

“Oh?” Jun Yueyue deliberately turned toward Fang Anyu, who was slowly getting dressed, and said,

“Husband, did you hear that? Your little brother admits he was looking at me…”

Fang Anyan whipped his head around, his expression almost panicked as he looked at Fang Anyu. Fang Anyu did not even turn his head—clearly he had not heard anything. Fang Anyan then snapped his neck back with a stiff motion, looking as if he wanted to devour Jun Yueyue alive.

His brother couldn’t hear, and he had been led astray by this woman too many times!

“Have you no shame?! How can you do that with my brother—” Fang Anyan paced in place like a trapped beast, pointing at Jun Yueyue, stammering “you, you, you…” for a long time without managing to form a complete sentence.

Jun Yueyue crossed her arms and watched him spin in circles like a donkey grinding a millstone, completely at ease.

After pacing for a while, Fang Anyan glanced at his brother again, suppressed his temper, and forced himself to calm down.

“When we get back from visiting the old man in a few days, let’s arrange a place to talk.”

Jun Yueyue leaned against the window with her arms folded, looking out at the sunlight, her mood fairly good.

“Sure. We really should have a proper talk.”

She needed to get away from the main plotline of the male and female leads as soon as possible and go live her own good life. Staying entangled with Fang Anyu would inevitably keep her tied to the storyline. They were going to divorce sooner or later anyway, so it was best to settle things early.

“You and my brother get ready,” Fang Anyan said, rubbing his temples. “Tomorrow we’ll go visit Old Master Jun.”

“Mm,” Jun Yueyue responded.

She remembered this part of the plot. They would return to the countryside to visit Old Master Jun, the true power holder of the Jun family. He owned a piece of land that every real estate developer in Qiuhai City coveted, said to be worth hundreds of millions.

This visit was nominally a one-month post-marriage return visit for the original owner and Fang Anyu, but in reality, it was a test. Old Master Jun would set two challenges for the four of them. This was actually the last opportunity for the vicious female supporting character. As a grandfather, how could he not favour his own granddaughter?

Of course, he hoped that his granddaughter who was physically healthy and able to move freely would grow sensible, take on the family responsibilities, and have upright character. Only then could he entrust his other granddaughter, who had mobility issues, to her. At his age, with his son, daughter-in-law, and wife all gone, he did not have many years left…

But the original owner had been completely focused on seducing Fang Anyan and failed the test. In the end, Old Master Jun gave the land to Jun Yu and Fang Anyan.

This time, Jun Yueyue had no intention of passing any such test either. In novels, trying to seize the male lead’s fortune rarely ended well. This was her first time transmigrating into a book, but not her first time reading one.

Besides, now that she had a second chance at life, Jun Yueyue did not want to get involved in any messy entanglements. Even if the land were given to her, she would not know what to do with it. After five years in the apocalypse, her requirements for life were very simple: enough food, warm clothes, and ideally a man to warm the bed. That was enough.

She had at least transmigrated into the identity of the Jun family’s eldest daughter. Even just receiving her share of money would be more than what ordinary people could earn in a lifetime. Why make things difficult for herself by getting involved? It would just be exhausting.

As Jun Yueyue was recalling the plot and considering whether she should simply follow the original owner’s path, she was suddenly tugged.

Turning her head, she saw Fang Anyan and frowned.

“Why are you still here? Want to watch me change clothes?”

Fang Anyan had almost been driven numb by Jun Yueyue’s provocations. This time, instead of jumping up angrily like before, he leaned closer and said in a low voice,

“You’re not allowed to touch my brother again!”

They were going to divorce anyway. After learning what had happened between his brother and this woman, aside from being shaken, his lifelong protective instinct kicked in, and he was genuinely angry. If they were going to divorce, why act like a real married couple at all?

Jun Yueyue had long since lost any goodwill toward this male lead. Hearing this, she glanced at Fang Anyu, who had left the bedroom to do something unknown, and smiled, showing a row of white teeth—not out of happiness, but irritation.

“I won’t touch him…” Jun Yueyue reached out and lifted Fang Anyan’s chin. “Then I’ll touch you instead? Leave the door open for me tonight?”

“Jun Yue!” Fang Anyan, half a head taller than her, grabbed her wrist and pressed it against the window behind her. It was an instinctive action. Although Jun Yueyue found it a bit dramatic, she understood—after all, he *was* the male lead of a melodramatic romance novel.

Like a tyrannosaurus, Fang Anyan pinned her wrist with one hand and pointed at her nose with the other.

“If you dare do this again, I will—”

“Your brother’s behind you,” Jun Yueyue suddenly said, looking past his shoulder.

“Stop using my brother to scare me!” Fang Anyan continued his threat, but then felt a tap on his shoulder.

Jun Yueyue had one hand still held by him, the other propped on the windowsill. She smiled and gave Fang Anyu, who had come up behind him, a long, winding whistle, then waved at him.

Fang Anyan froze completely.

Hi! Thank you for letting me know. When I picked up this novel, the previous translation had been inactive for over three months and appeared to be unfinished. I wasn’t aware that it had since been completed on your website until I saw your comment, as all of the chapters had not yet been updated on NovelUpdates.

I had already translated the entire novel and was originally planning to release it as a bulk upload at the end of the month. Since I only had two chapters left to proofread, I decided to bring the release forward slightly and finish publishing my version.

It will simply remain as an alternative translation, and readers are free to choose whichever version they prefer.
