FFSCRPB Chapter 17 – The young lady gave too much

A fast food meal that costs nearly twenty yuan is considered the average level of consumption for ordinary people, but for wealthy families, it’s somewhat inadequate.

The heartwarming meal that Su Banxia made herself turned out to be convenience store fast food. Shang Jingyao’s expression was no longer described as unpleasant; it was simply darker than a sewer.

Mu Ruxue’s smile froze on her face.

She didn’t know what to say at the moment to make Shang Jingyao less embarrassed.

Mu Ruxue knew how much Su Banxia liked Shang Jingyao, which was why she had worked so hard to snatch him away and often paraded him in front of Su Banxia.

For Mu Ruxue, Shang Jingyao was the most advantageous weapon to defeat Su Banxia and the honorary reward for her victory. Every time, she only needed to say a few words gently to provoke Su Banxia into madness, causing her to lose the graceful demeanor expected of a wealthy young lady. People around them would mock and dislike Su Banxia.

Su Banxia must be trying to save face, she loved Shang Jingyao so much that she couldn’t possibly use convenience store fast food to serve him.

“Sister, are you kidding?” Mu Ruxue forced a smile and said, “Didn’t you say you made it yourself?”

“Are you trying to fool me with money?” Su Banxia chuckled and said, “Do you want me to show you my transaction records to prove it?”

Mu Ruxue approached Shang Jingyao, looking somewhat indignant on his behalf, and admonished, “How could you treat Jingyao like that?”

“Didn’t he throw everything into the trash before?” Su Banxia said casually.

When Shang Jingyao used to throw things away that Su Banxia gave him, he only felt annoyance in his heart. But for some reason, at this moment, he felt a sense of guilt.

However, her guilt only lasted a second, and the next sentence from the girl made his face completely black as coal.

Su Banxia sighed, “If I had known this, I would have been better off feeding the dog with that twenty yuan.”

“That’s enough,” Shang Jingyao interrupted, unable to bear it any longer.

Su Banxia smiled with satisfaction, feeling quite pleased, and walked away gracefully.

She had no intention of conflicting with the male and female leads, but someone had to push their face into it, looking as if they wouldn’t give face unless confronted.

Back at home, she called out to the system, “Ao Bai, encountering the male and female leads today shouldn’t be considered disrupting the plot, right?”

“Master, since this is a counterattack system, it doesn’t matter even if you disrupt the plot.”

Su Banxia was surprised by this response. When she pushed Shang Lu into the pool at the Zhu family banquet, it was a significant deviation from the original plot, and she had worried for a while. Some novels had settings that prohibited time-travelers from disrupting the original plot, and if they did, they would be punished. Now, hearing the system’s words, she felt relieved.

Staying at home was a bit boring, and Su Banxia saw a message from Mu Ruxue in the group, although it was immediately retracted, she had already seen the content.

Logging into the game, Mu Ruxue and the Wild King’s little brother were already in a match, and the speed was as fast as if they had seen the devil.

Su Banxia remembered seeing Mu Ruxue downstairs at the company today, and it seemed that her complexion and appearance had deteriorated significantly compared to the first time they met.

It was probably because she had regained her luck. Mu Ruxue’s system had malfunctioned, and her appearance value had started to decline.

Su Banxia opened her phone to check her luck value, and the color of the first star was filling up quickly. She wished she could rush to the company right now and give Shang Jingyao a kiss.

In the afternoon, Su’s mother called her to come home for dinner.

Su Banxia agreed.

The people who came to pick her up were still the two tall bodyguards, Xiong Da and Xiong Er. When they met, Su Banxia praised them.

“Long time no see, Xiong Da, you’ve gotten so strong. Xiong Er, you’ve become even more handsome.”

Xiong Da: “…” Miss, it’s only been a week since we last saw each other.

Xiong Er’s simple and honest face flashed with a suspicious red color. He pursed his lips and pretended to be serious.

Su Banxia comfortably sat in the car and teased Xiong Da, who was in the passenger seat, “How’s everything at home recently?”

Xiong Da replied, “Everything is normal.”

Su Banxia said, “I didn’t ask for that. Don’t just give me perfunctory answers.”

Xiong Da’s face tensed slightly, and he reported honestly, “Second Young Master and Miss Mu are getting close. CEO Su will visit Olivet Gardens on Saturday.”

He didn’t want to betray CEO Su…

But…

The Miss had been too generous!

After her escape and subsequent capture, Miss had undergone significant changes. It was as if she had suddenly gained intelligence and became incredibly deep-minded.

“I’ve seen Father’s health checkup report. He’s getting older, and his bodily functions are declining in various aspects. In a few years, my brother and I will take over the company.”

“I’ll give you two choices: either be fired or follow me.”

“Will you accept guaranteed salaries and performance bonuses for going out on assignments?”

These days, who could refuse the three words “salary increase”? People work for their bosses primarily for money.

Su Banxia listened to Xiong Da’s report, and a subtle smile curled at the corner of her lips.

One could only say that Mu Ruxue’s methods were very effective. Initially, Su Father visited Olivet Gardens every six months, then every month, and now he was going there once a week, the secret place where he hid his mistress.

In no time, he might even divide his assets for Mu Ruxue.

Since she had used the original host’s body, she would repay her mother by helping her.

Su Father had been having affairs for so many years, and Su Mother had no idea. How could she expose this lie?

Su Banxia was a little worried, but she knew she had to take it slowly. Suddenly revealing the news of this scumbag’s affair to her mother would likely be too shocking, and she wouldn’t believe it.

Her top priority was to deal with the situation of the original host’s younger brother being led astray.

Under her mother’s indulgence, Su Baiyang had developed a spoiled and domineering personality. He was fearless and rebellious, making it difficult for him to obey.

The car stopped at the Su family’s villa, and as Su Banxia returned home, she saw Mu Ruxue chatting with Su Father in the living room. Su Baiyang was watching TV and occasionally chimed in.

The harmonious atmosphere of the family was hard to bear, not only for the original host but also for her.

No man could resist the charms of a gentle woman, and Mu Ruxue had mastered this art exceptionally well. Over the past few years, Su Baiyang’s affection and fondness for Mu Ruxue had surpassed that of the original host.

The relationship between the two siblings was on the verge of freezing. They often argued.

When Su Baiyang saw her return, his tone was somewhat unfriendly. “What are you back for?”

“Stupid little brother, asking for a beating.”

Su Banxia smiled faintly. “Mom asked me to come back for dinner.”

Su Baoyang sneered, “You don’t need to accompany that cripple, do you?”

People in his circle were all mocking him for marrying a disabled person with no use of both legs. His reputation had been tarnished, and Su Banxia had chosen to marry Shang Lu.

Su Banxia suppressed her emotions and replied, “You should call him brother-in-law.”

Su Baoyang coldly snorted, “Dream on.”

He would never admit that a double-legged cripple was his brother-in-law.

Mr. Su’s face darkened slightly. Despite the marriage and cooperation with the Shang family, he hadn’t gained much in terms of benefits. Shang Lu was a shrewd person, and their cooperation projects had been sent back several times for revisions, which infuriated him. That’s why he had asked Su Banxia, who had been married off, to come back for dinner. The purpose was to let her talk to Shang Lu. After all, the Su family was her maiden family, and there were some things that should be compromised on, not taken too far.

During dinner, Mu Ruxue sat opposite Su Banxia, and she stared at her face.

She hadn’t seen it wrong—Mu Ruxue’s skin used to be radiant and fair, the envy of many. But now, her complexion had darkened slightly, her skin had worsened, and it had affected her features.

These subtle changes were hard for ordinary people to notice. They might think that she hadn’t been resting well, leading to a decline in her looks.

Su Banxia was quite pleased, not because Mu Ruxue was starting to look less attractive, but because she had confirmed that she had taken back her luck.

Mu Ruxue sensed Su Banxia’s gaze, and the anger she had been suppressing almost burst out. She managed to control it and showed a simple smile. “Sister, is there something on my face?”

Su Banxia shook her head and asked, “Did you use my card to spend at the beauty salon recently?”

Mu Ruxue’s face changed, and she bit her lip, saying, “Sister, I didn’t use your card.”

Su Banxia made a puzzled expression and said, “Could I have remembered it wrong?”

When Mu Ruxue first came to the Su family, Su Father had claimed it was to take care of their adopted daughter’s delicate and sensitive nature. He not only made her give up her room but also allowed Mu Ruxue to have everything. Mu Ruxue took advantage of Su Father’s favouritism and took away quite a few things from her.

All eyes were on Mu Ruxue.

Su Baoyang, the typical straightforward guy, said, “Sister, you’ve become much uglier recently. Maybe it’s time to go to the beauty salon for some care.”

Mu Ruxue had the Prosperous Beauty System and didn’t need to go to a beauty salon. She could become more beautiful by taking away other people’s luck.

When she suddenly heard Su Baoyang’s words, the chopsticks in her hand slipped and fell on the table with a clatter.

It wasn’t her imagination; she had indeed become less attractive.

Seeing Mu Ruxue so disheartened, Su Banxia happily ate another bowl of rice and successfully filled her stomach.

After spending half an hour doing yoga at home, she took her clothes and went to the bathroom to take a shower. She was in such a good mood that she couldn’t help but hum a tune in the bathroom.

Shang Lu, who had worked overtime, returned home. As he entered the bedroom, he heard the off-key singing coming from the bathroom. Su Banxia, wearing only a towel, came out of the bathroom, barefoot on the floor. She had just opened the door and twisted a few times when she looked up and met a pair of cold black eyes.
