FFSCRPB Chapter 12 – Oh my god, Shang Lu is the best!

“These black magic skills of the system look really badass” Su Banxia exclaimed.

Upon closer inspection, Su Banxia realized that she could only exchange one item with her 100,000 points, and the items required point upgrades.

For example, items like Linguistic Arts and Cursing required leveling up. At level one, they could only use five words and had relatively weak power. To kill the target, the level needed to reach ten. Moreover, reaching level ten was extremely difficult, probably to restrict the user from doing bad things.

Fortunately, she wasn’t an antisocial personality, or else having a system like this and exchanging Linguistic Arts to predict the world’s destruction would be a disaster.

The items in the store all looked good, and she had finally saved up 100,000 points. What should she exchange for?

After hesitating for a while, Su Banxia decided not to exchange anything for now and save it for later use.

Shang Lu came out of the bathroom, wearing gray pajamas.

Su Banxia glanced at the man’s handsome face after his shower, then put down her phone to prepare for her own hygiene. Tonight had been exhausting, and she wanted to rest early.

After removing her makeup, showering, and washing her hair, she glanced at the mirror and was surprised.

Could it be? Could it be?

Su Banxia wiped the mirror with a few pieces of tissue, clearing away the mist. In the mirror, there was a girl in a nightgown.

She touched her face, blinked her eyes. Just a few days ago, she looked like a drug addict on the verge of death. Now, the dark circles under her eyes had lightened considerably.

It wasn’t an illusion, and it wasn’t the effect of taking a shower.

Su Banxia couldn’t help but turn left and right, observing her body. Her heart had been aching slightly before, but now it didn’t hurt anymore.

Ah, Shang Lu was amazing!

Although her skin was still pale and her hair was still like weeds, she believed she could quickly regain her luck and restore her previous beauty.

Su Banxia happily walked out of the bathroom and noticed that the overhead light was turned off, but two wall lamps were on. The man was sitting against the headboard of the bed, holding a financial magazine and reading.

The man was dressed in gray pajamas, his handsome face expressionless, and his eyes slightly lowered, giving off an aura of “do not disturb.”

In Su Banxia’s eyes, this scene was like a shining diamond.

“Hehe,” she couldn’t help but laugh.

Shang Lu heard the girl’s laughter, his fingers holding the magazine slightly moved, but he still didn’t look up.

Su Banxia stared at him for a few seconds, then stepped on the soft carpet and walked to the sofa. She spread a blanket and lay down.

After just taking a shower, she was still feeling quite awake and couldn’t sleep.

When she couldn’t sleep, she liked to do something else. She took out her phone and started scrolling through short videos.

She came across a video of a crossdressing beauty – [I’m Super Brave]: “Sis, can you give me a ‘ji’ (support)?”

She came across a video of a clever pet – [I’m Super Brave]: “Don’t delay your child’s education, send them to school quickly.”

She came across a video of a mischievous child beating an animal – [I’m Super Brave]: “The country’s man-eating flower, please don’t let him go.”

She didn’t leave comments on every video, but most of them received her top-rated comments. Watching the system collect more and more emotional values, she couldn’t help but laugh foolishly.

She left hot comments and started responding to trolls, helping the video creators to clap back at the trolls, which generated high engagement. The trolls were furious, and her emotional values kept pouring in.

Since the system revealed the real identities of those giving emotional values, she knew exactly where the negative emotions were coming from. She didn’t want to expose others’ privacy, but there was one particularly obnoxious guy who had pushed her buttons. He left a comment on a video of a woman traveling in a Mercedes with her friend: “This woman definitely works in an illegitimate profession.”

Tsk, the sourness is overflowing from the screen.

[I’m Super Brave]: What’s this? Your ancestors got rich and prosperous by identifying people’s professions at a glance?

After helping clap back like this, the troll not only continued to insult her but also sent private messages, overflowing with negative emotions.

Oh, little bugs really need to be dealt with.

She commented again on the original hot comment.

[I’m Super Brave]: Hey, xx, with your mouth full of crap, did your paper pass?

Not long after posting this comment, the troll was scared and quickly deleted the hot comment, disappearing without a trace. They even deactivated their account.

Many people, shielded by the anonymity of the internet, vent their negative emotions and malice without considering the harm their comments may cause to others. Once their real identity is discovered, they become timid, just like insects in a smelly drain that die when exposed to light.

After clapping back at some trolls, Su Banxia silently uttered a wish for the world to have fewer of these garbage people who hide behind a facade and cause chaos on the internet.

She stayed in the same position for a bit too long, and when she turned over, a slight pain shot through her heel. “Hiss~”

This slightly pained exhale caught Shang Lu’s attention, and he looked over.

Su Banxia didn’t notice that the man was looking at her. She sat up, placed her feet on the sofa, and stared at her worn-out heel.

The material of the shoes she wore tonight wasn’t quite suitable, and after just a few hours, they had worn out her heel. She had endured the pain all the way back.

She wondered if there were any band-aids in the room and decided to ask Shang Lu.

Shang Lu withdrew his gaze the moment she looked up.

“Shang Lu.”

“Yes,” Shang Lu responded.

“My heel is blistered,” Su Banxia asked, “Do you know where there are adhesive bandages?”

Shang Lu calmly replied, “In the drawer.”

His mobility was limited, and in the past, it was common for him to scrape his skin during accidents, so he kept some medical supplies in the drawer.

“Which drawer?” Su Banxia stood barefoot on the carpet.

Shang Lu glanced at the bedside table and said, “Find it yourself.”

Su Banxia sighed and walked over to search. She found two adhesive bandages in the drawer. Her blistered heel was really painful. She bit her lip, lowered her head, and applied the adhesive bandage.

The room was dimly lit and silent.

Suddenly, Shang Lu’s voice rang out, “If the shoes are not suitable, just throw them away.”

His voice was cold, with a hint of command.

This statement seemed to carry a hidden meaning.

Su Banxia lifted her head to look at Shang Lu, wondering if his comment referred to the shoes or to Shang Jingyao.

She hesitated for a moment and said, “Those shoes are still quite new.”

Shang Lu furrowed his eyebrows, his gaze icy as he looked at her, and asked, “Do you need money?”

“No, not at all,” Su Banxia hurriedly smiled and said, “I’ll throw them away tomorrow.”

As soon as she finished speaking, there was a sound like a switch being turned off, and the bedroom plunged into darkness.

Su Banxia: “…”

The next day.

“Knock, knock!” The sound of knocking came from the door.

Su Banxia struggled to open her eyes, feeling like her eyelids weighed a ton. Her head was spinning, and she felt extremely tired. She could barely hear what was being said outside, and she sank back into darkness, completely unaware of what was happening outside.

The maid had been knocking on the door for a while with no response.

Lan Yurou walked by the hallway and saw the maid standing outside Shang Lu’s bedroom with a worried expression. She approached and asked, “What’s going on?”

“Madam,” the maid replied, “Young Madam hasn’t woken up yet, and I wanted to ask if she wants breakfast.”

Lan Yurou smiled and said, “Young people love to sleep in. Just let her sleep; you don’t need to worry about her.”

The maid nodded and said, “Okay.”

Lan Yurou had made plans to play mahjong at home with some friends, and her fellow players were all well-off ladies from her social circle. They chatted and played cards.

During this time, Lan Yurou had styled her short chestnut hair, dressed in a tasteful suit, and maintained her appearance well. She wore a gemstone necklace around her neck and a set of jade jewelry on her ears and wrists, exuding the aura of an affluent socialite.

Compared to her, the other three socialite women seemed slightly less impressive.

As the women chatted, the conversation eventually turned to Shang Lu and Su Banxia, especially since Su Banxia’s runaway bride incident had become a hot topic in the city.

There were undoubtedly many people eager to hear jokes about the Shang family. In this world, most people couldn’t stand to see others doing better than themselves, and when they finally had a chance to make fun of the Shang family’s embarrassment, they wouldn’t let it pass.

“Hey, where’s your eldest son’s wife?” one of the women asked.

Lan Yurou, who was sorting her cards, paused and replied, “She’s upstairs sleeping.”

The women looked surprised and one of them said with a laugh, “She’s still sleeping at this hour? How can she sleep like that?”

“Red dragon.” Another woman played a card and chuckled, “Well, young people love to sleep in.”

Lan Yurou’s best friend, Gao Xiumei, frowned and defended her, “As the mother-in-law, you woke up early, and she’s still sleeping. It’s so rude.”

She continued, “I’m telling you, Yurou, you need to set some rules for your new daughter-in-law. Otherwise, she won’t respect you in the future.”

Lan Yurou smiled and said, “How could I dare? She’s the heiress of the Su family, and besides, she’s Shang Lu’s wife. If I say a few more words, people will say I’m a wicked mother-in-law.”

Gao Xiumei became even more displeased, saying, “You’re just too kind. On her wedding day, she ran away, embarrassing her parents. The fact that the Shang family still accepted her is already quite generous.”

Lan Yurou had actually been against Su Banxia marrying into the Shang family, which led to the alliance between the Shang and Su families. Hearing her friend stand up for her, she felt a sense of satisfaction and played the role of the good person.

“Alright, let’s stop talking about it and play cards,” she said.

Su Banxia didn’t wake up until late in the afternoon. Lan Yurou’s friends were still guests at the Shang family, and they were all having afternoon tea. As she stepped out of the elevator, several pairs of eyes glanced in her direction.
