LLASBWUH Chapter 42

I’m Thinking of You!

The next day, Eldest Young Master Gu had a scheduled physical check-up.

News of his full recovery had already spread nationwide, and the data on his bodily functions post-recovery was of immense value to the renowned doctors and specialists who had once consulted on his case.

As expected, Young Master Gu is a true medical miracle!

No doubt about it, this man is like a god!

During the check-up, they also assessed the parts that had been “slightly harmed” by his wife’s playful antics.

Thankfully, the “hardware” remained undamaged.

Its functionality? Still robust.

Gu Cheng emerged from the room, fully dressed, his expression cold.

Ning Yi greeted him with a mischievous grin. “Hehe, mwah~!”

She knew it! A man as—uh—*capable* as him wouldn’t be harmed by something so trivial!

That fleeting pain she’d felt for three seconds after the incident? While unpleasant, it seemed no worse than the cramps women endure during their periods.

Anyway, anything painful can just be left to hubby to handle! ^3^*

Gu Cheng stopped in front of her, his gaze calm yet commanding. “No more fooling around like that in the future.”

Ning Yi nodded obediently. “Mm-hmm.”

Fine, no more splits. Simple!

Gu Cheng scrutinized her for a few moments, as if seeing through her surface compliance to her inner troublemaking nature. Finally, he let out a faint chuckle. “Otherwise, you’ll be the one to regret it later.”

Foolish girl.

Ning Yi: Huh?

What’s there to regret?

Not that she cared enough to ask. She happily went off to pack for their upcoming trip to the seaside.

Yay, the big yacht! The big yacht! Woo-hoo!

Watching her excitedly bustle around like a child preparing for a school field trip, Gu Cheng couldn’t help but feel his own mood lift slightly.

Truly, making her happy is no difficult task.

And surely, making her fall in love with him wouldn’t be much harder either.

Hands clasped behind his back, Eldest Young Master Gu returned to the company with an even temper.

Meanwhile, Assistant Zhou, having observed the subtle hint of expectation in Gu Cheng’s otherwise calm demeanour, knew he had scored another point.

Efficient as always, Assistant Zhou quickly arranged first-class tickets for the couple and booked a seaside hotel suite with breath-taking panoramic views—perfect for a romantic getaway (and perhaps a bit thrilling).

Protecting the happiness of Eldest Young Master Gu and Madam is my calling!

Before their departure, there was still work to wrap up in A City.

While Gu Cheng worked intensively at the company, Ning Yi stayed home, clearing her schedule by completing all her CMore tasks and coordinating with Zhao Weining. Once they returned, the signing ceremony with Gu Capital would follow.

After this investment, their team would scale up significantly, meaning less hands-on work for her.

Ah, what a wonderful and wealthy life ahead! ^u^

After a coding marathon, Zhao Weining texted her:

[Sis, once the contract’s signed, we’ll officially make it big!]

[By the way, will you still keep your identity a secret?]

Once Gu Capital joined, CMore would no longer be a small operation but a fully commercialized platform with a bright future. Yet, the entire venture had been initiated by a girl everyone online recognized but didn’t truly *know*.

The thought amazed Zhao Weining. Our Ning Yi is incredible!

“Hmm,” Ning Yi pondered. “Let’s just go with the flow, I guess?”

After all, she’d inevitably show up at the contract signing at Gu Group, and once Gu Cheng found out about her involvement, the rest didn’t really matter.

 [Got it!]  Zhao Weining replied.

[By the way, my sister wants to know where you and Eldest Young Master Gu will be staying. She forced me to ask (I’m so sorry, I swear).]

Zhao Mochu, the world’s #1 “Gu de Mo Ning” CP fan, was relentless.

Even as “Wan Shi Ru Yi” waned in popularity, she still followed all three of them closely, scouring Wander’s livestreams every night for clues to fuel her ship.

Ning Yi: “…Not sharing. Bye-bye!”

CP fans are terrifying!

She was baffled—what was so fascinating about this anyway?

Surely the male and female leads’ love story is the real highlight of this world?

Zhao Mochu: Of course not!

Sugar mixed with vinegar, vinegar laced with knives—*those* are the most fatal flavours!

Zhao Mochu, having failed to get an answer from Ning Yi, turned to Wander’s livestream.

Wander streamed daily like clockwork, except for the one time he skipped—to attend the ball. But that attempt to talk to Ning Yi had been foiled, with Gu Cheng making his dramatic comeback to overshadow everyone.

Zhao Mochu grinned creepily. BE (bad endings) are even juicier to ship!

Meanwhile, many viewers in Wander’s stream were discussing the recent news of Gu Group’s major investment in CMore. The platform was poised for massive success, and people praised Wander for his foresight in leaving his old employer for this seemingly undervalued start-up.

[Wander, what made you so sure about joining CMore?]

[Did you just believe in your own skills and that you’d shine anywhere? Haha.]

Wander glanced at the comments while casually headshotting zombies in the game. He chuckled, “I believed in someone.”

 [OMG, who?]

[Who’s this ‘someone’? Is it someone from CMore? Do you have a connection?]

[This must be some deep secret we don’t know about!]

Wander laughed again but didn’t elaborate.

After the stream ended, Wander found himself unsure what to eat, so he headed to the supermarket. As an esports player with erratic hours, his meals were often haphazard, and unlike Ning Yi, he wasn’t passionate about food. For him, survival was enough. He planned to grab some instant meals to tide him over.

As he entered the supermarket, he noticed an unusually tall cart piled high with goods, completely obscuring the person pushing it.

Wander only gave it a passing glance until he caught a familiar muttering voice. Curious, he walked around to take a look.

Ning Yi: “Let’s grab a fishing net too—just in case I can catch some fish!”

Wander: “…What are you doing?”

Ning Yi looked up, her eyes sparkling as she grinned. “Ah, Captain Wan! I’m getting ready for a trip!”

Though Gu Cheng had sent bodyguards and assistants to accompany her, Ning Yi insisted she loved the feeling of shopping for supplies herself, so they weren’t allowed to help. The task of pushing the overloaded cart fell to Captain Wan, who had a similar enthusiasm for stockpiling supplies.

Wander lazily took over pushing the cart and slowly followed her to the checkout.

Neither of them felt the need for much conversation. Their familiarity allowed them to walk side by side in a relaxed, unspoken camaraderie.

As they strolled, Wander spoke casually, “By the way—01, have you ever thought about it?”

“Hm?” Ning Yi replied, distracted, as she paused by a food stand in the store.

Wander’s gaze lingered on the store’s shelves brimming with goods. He spoke softly, “If one day we went back—”

Ning Yi, munching on a freshly roasted honey-glazed chicken drumstick, asked, “Huh? What’d you say?”

Wander watched her for a moment before laughing. “Nothing.”

Ning Yi kept chewing. Nah, not interested. This drumstick is way too good!

Wander chuckled quietly to himself. Little 01.

With her sharp hearing, she definitely caught what he said.

The question had come to him after a vivid dream the previous night, but seeing her so cheerful, he decided to let it go.

The massive haul of supplies Ning Yi had bought didn’t all make it onto the trip.

“Why can’t I bring this?! Am I not worthy as your little kitty?!” Ning Yi wailed, rolling on the bed.

Gu Cheng opened her overstuffed suitcase, discovering it filled not just with travel essentials but even a bottle of alcohol. He pulled it out, sighing, “I’ll buy you more when we get there.”

They weren’t going to a famine-stricken wasteland—why did she always shop like it was the apocalypse?

Ning Yi sighed in defeat. “Fine!”

She had planned to throw a party on her big yacht, but now she’d just have to guilt-trip her husband into funding it once they arrived.

The next morning, Assistant Zhou and the rest of the team—three assistants and eight bodyguards—were all geared up and ready.

Thanks to Ning Yi’s stunt of using Gu Cheng’s body to order stricter training, the security team now exuded an even more imposing presence.

Ning Yi smiled warmly as Gu Cheng took her hand and helped her into the car.

The bodyguards declared, “We will ensure the success and safety of Eldest Young Master and Madam’s trip!”

Halfway to the airport, however, a luxury car abruptly cut them off.

The driver, despite breaking out in a cold sweat, remained calm and skilled—after all, driving for Young Master Gu required the utmost precision. He brought the car to a smooth stop, avoiding any “accidental” scrape from the other vehicle.

Soon, the other car stopped too, and out stepped a well-dressed young woman who seemed somewhat familiar—probably someone from the recent gala.

Instead of addressing the driver or Assistant Zhou in the front, she eagerly approached the rear window, smiling brightly. ” Eldest Young Master Gu? I didn’t expect to see you here—”

Gu Cheng: “…”

Their car windows were tinted, making the interior completely opaque from the outside.

Sitting in the back with a frosty expression, Gu Cheng thought, Another idiot?

Meanwhile, Ning Yi gleefully enjoyed the show. The elite gala was over, and many of the out-of-town nobles had already left. Those who remained were likely unwilling to let go of an opportunity. With Gu Family’s lack of response to subtle overtures—including from long-time allies like the Wen family—these nobles resorted to such staged “coincidences.”

Assistant Zhou quickly provided the details: “This is Miss Wang, the second daughter of the Wang family in Province H. She’s 25, studied computer science at X University, and their main business is…”

Miss Wang wasted no time introducing herself: “Our family is a leader in the internet industry, Eldest Young Master Gu. Several of the major online platforms today are supported by our company. I believe a wise businessman like yourself wouldn’t choose someone without value, right?”

Ning Yi recognized the platforms mentioned; one was a competitor of CMore. However, she respected the market and its competition—growth thrives on challenges, after all. She even admired fellow tech enthusiasts like Miss Wang.

Miss Wang talked at length, but the car window didn’t budge.

Assistant Zhou asked, “Young Master, how should we handle this?”

Though addressing Gu Cheng, he glanced at Ning Yi through the rear-view mirror. Would this incident upset the Madam?

Gu Cheng looked at Ning Yi.

Seeing her unusually quiet, he smirked. “Jealous?”

“Eh?” Ning Yi snapped out of her professional thoughts, quickly clasping her chest in exaggerated heartbreak. “Yes, hubby! I’m devastated! Am I not your only treasure, your pearl of the sea, your one true love? Hubby—”

Gu Cheng: “Drive.”

Assistant Zhou eagerly responded, “Yes!”

Gu Cheng: “?”

“— Eldest Young Master Gu!” Assistant Zhou echoed dramatically.

Encouraged by her “audience,” Ning Yi doubled down, wailing theatrically: “I want you to give up the whole ocean for me! Can you do that, hubby?!”

Gu Cheng, unfazed, replied coolly, “Should I kill the fish that washed up, too?”

Ning Yi: “?”

She immediately sat back quietly, looking pretty and composed, while muttering under her breath, “Gu Cheng is so mean.”

“I can hear you,” Gu Cheng said flatly.

“Oh, ^3^”

When the plane landed in the port city, Ning Yi immediately felt the warm sea breeze and her excitement surged.

Yacht, here I come!

Several vehicles from the shipbuilding company receiving Gu Cheng were waiting for them. On the way to the hotel, the hosts enthusiastically introduced their company’s shipbuilding capabilities, highlighting the luxury yacht Gu Cheng had recently purchased.

Owning a yacht isn’t just expensive upfront; docking fees, maintenance, fuel costs, and other expenses make it a status symbol of the elite. A 30-foot speedboat could cost tens of thousands annually just to maintain, and Gu Cheng’s three-story luxury yacht was on an entirely different level.

Ning Yi: I take it back! Hubby isn’t stingy at all!

The car delivered them to a hotel with a suite on the top floor, offering stunning ocean views.

Inside, the room’s minimalist, rock-inspired design was strikingly modern. From the massive floor-to-ceiling windows, the horizon stretched endlessly, punctuated by the sight of ships docked in the port.

Ning Yi exclaimed, “Wow! The sea is so blue! Big boats! Big boats!”

Gu Cheng, unimpressed by the hotel’s aesthetics, headed toward the study to work.

But Assistant Zhou knew it wouldn’t be that simple.

As Gu Cheng passed an outdoor pool, he barely reacted. However, when he reached the bathroom, he paused.

The bathroom had fully transparent glass walls.

Inside was a massive bathtub for soaking, with only water vapor providing any semblance of modesty.

Assistant Zhou, unable to decipher the subtle complexity in Gu Cheng’s expression, placed the organized files on the desk before discreetly stepping back. “Wishing Madam and Young Master an enjoyable time!”

Ning Yi cheerfully responded, “Thank you, thank you!”

Gu Cheng withdrew his gaze and started toward the study but paused mid-step when something colourful caught his peripheral vision.

Ning Yi had yanked out a vibrant, skimpy item from her suitcase—a bikini.

This wasn’t a tropical destination, but the coastal city was much warmer than A City. Why not wear a bikini for their upcoming yacht trip?

Gu Cheng turned and silently approached. He picked up the piece of fabric she was holding and inspected it briefly.

Ning Yi confidently placed her hands on her hips. “What do you think?”

In her mind, she was sure: Once I wear this, I’ll look stunning—a true seductive siren.

After a moment’s silence, Gu Cheng replied, “Are you trying to freeze yourself?”

While the temperature here was warmer, it was still late autumn. Wearing a bikini in the cool sea breeze? Not a great idea.

“Really? It’ll be cold?” Ning Yi paused, then brightly proposed, “Then you can wear it for me, hubby. I’ll admire myself in your body!”

Gu Cheng: “…”

Wordlessly, he shoved the bikini back into her suitcase.

Ning Yi, amused, tilted her head as if indulging a sulking child: Oh, you’re jealous. I get it.

Gu Cheng: No, that’s not it.

“I’ll wear a floral dress then!” she declared, pulling out another brightly coloured item.

Gu Cheng, with his preference for monochromatic palettes, raised an eyebrow. “What is that?”

However, when Ning Yi emerged wearing the dress, Gu Cheng fell silent.

The pink dress, adorned with blooming flowers, was anything but garish on her. It perfectly framed her swan-like neck, delicate back, and slender arms. She completed the look with a straw hat decorated with tiny flowers and grass.

“How do I look?” Ning Yi beamed. “Let’s head out to the yacht now!”

Gu Cheng almost said “yes.”

Almost.

He reined himself in, his business instincts taking over. The meeting with the shipbuilding company was the primary purpose of this trip; accompanying Ning Yi was secondary.

He pinched her rosy cheek lightly, his tone neutral. “Later.”

Gu Cheng was known as the most outstanding business emperor of the century. He refused to act like a muddle-headed ruler.

“How long is ‘later,’ hubby? How long are you going to keep me waiting?” Ning Yi suddenly belted out dramatically, “If you love me, answer me, give me your reply—!”

Gu Cheng closed his eyes briefly, the corners of his lips twitching in resignation. “Just wait a little, and I’ll take you out to sea. Okay?”

“Okay, ^3^” she said sweetly.

—

Meanwhile, along the windswept coastline of the port city, a slender figure with an air of melancholy stood poised against the backdrop of the sea.

Ding Ziyue gazed out at the ocean, basking in the mysterious, romantic aura she believed surrounded her. As expected, I am the centre of this world!

“Creator, I’m here!”

Ding Ziyue had gone to great lengths for this moment. She had hired a skilled hacker, spending a fortune, to trace 01’s IP address—an endeavour that proved difficult since most hackers hesitated to challenge 01’s legendary prowess. Money eventually swayed a daring expert to take on the task.

To tie her name to 01 and become CMore’s muse, Ding Ziyue spared no expense.

Where are you, my hidden admirer? The goddess you silently follow and secretly like has come to meet you!

Ding Ziyue stood by the seaside, enjoying the breeze as she took a hundred selfies. After carefully editing them, she posted a nine-grid collage on her CMore account.

The post quickly garnered praise from fans admiring her beauty and curiosity about her location.

[“Looks like my hometown! Is this X City?”]

[ “Why is our princess Ziyue out alone? Where’s the film emperor?”]

[“Jiang Linyi isn’t accompanying Ziyue?!”]

Ding Ziyue smirked smugly. What do they know?

Ever since she ignored Jiang Linyi’s messages last night, she had been savouring the thought of making him worry about her, which would deepen their love even more.

Sure enough, after her new post, Jiang Linyi messaged her immediately:

Jiang Linyi:  [Ziyue, where are you?]

[You don’t know how worried I am about you!]

A wave of sweetness filled Ding Ziyue’s heart.

 Ding Ziyue:  [Linyi-gege, I… I’m sorry.]

Jiang Linyi:  [I told you, never say sorry to me.]

[Wait for me. I’ll come find you as soon as I finish recording.]

Putting her phone away, Ding Ziyue felt a surge of satisfaction.

Hmph, the love between me and Linyi is clearly superior. Unlike Ning Yi and Gu Cheng’s relationship, which is completely unequal!

To her, Gu Cheng and Ning Yi’s dynamic was nothing to envy. If it weren’t for Gu Cheng’s identity as the legendary “Eldest Young Master Gu,” who would admire Ning Yi?

Yet the thought of Ning Yi still clinging to Gu Cheng—a man of such status—left her feeling bitterly conflicted.

Finally, Ding Ziyue refocused on her goal. She reminded herself: Ning Yi holds no commercial value for Gu Cheng. Unlike me, who will demonstrate my worth during this trip!

Her ultimate plan? To uncover the elusive CMore founder, “01,” and secure her place as the face of his genius. She envisioned herself as 01’s goddess, muse, and guiding light. With CM poised for meteoric success, aligning herself with its creator would elevate her even further.

After waiting for 01 to like her post without success, Ding Ziyue turned to her livestream. As viewers poured in, she flashed her sweetest, most innocent smile.

“Hi, everyone~ Sorry for worrying you lately. I’m fine! I’m currently at X City’s harbour…”

She deliberately dropped her location, a subtle invitation to the founder.

Moments later, her secondary phone buzzed—a message from the hired hacker.

 Hacker:  [He’s nearby.]

[Getting closer.]

Ding Ziyue’s heart skipped a beat. I knew it! There’s no way he could resist seeing his muse in person!

She adjusted her posture and radiated confidence, preparing for the grand meeting.

Just then, a yacht cruised past behind her. As she turned around gracefully, a wave splashed her face.

Ding Ziyue, drenched: “What the hell?! Who does that?!”

Her viewers, already entertained by her antics, were in stitches.

[“Hahaha, girl, don’t stand so close to the harbour!”]

[“Never realized Ziyue had such comedic timing!”]

Ding Ziyue fumed internally: I’m not a comedian! I’m the most beautiful princess!

She wiped the water off her face, but when she looked up at the yacht, her expression soured instantly.

Standing on the deck were none other than Ning Yi and Gu Cheng !

Her face turned an awkward mix of green and sour. She was here to find the CMore founder, not to endure this torture! Why does Ning Yi cling to Gu Cheng so shamelessly, following him everywhere?

Unfortunately for Ding Ziyue, her viewers also noticed the striking figures on the yacht.

[“OMG, is that Eldest Young Master Gu and Ning Yi?!” ]

[“I’d recognize that aura anywhere!”]

[Ahhh, don’t you all remember that yacht Eldest Young Master Gu gifted Ning Jie for her birthday? He’s taking her out to sea now! Ahhh!]

Instantly, Ding Ziyue’s livestream exploded with screams from viewers.

[OMG, the tyrant’s love is unstoppable, waaaahhh!]

[The “Gu de Mo Ning” fandom is feasting again today! So much sugar, I’m living for this!]

Ding Ziyue’s face twisted with jealousy, but she forced herself to maintain her elegant image on camera.

Behind her, the luxurious three-story yacht showed no interest in the shore or her presence. Soon, it smoothly sailed away, leaving her fuming.

Internally, Ding Ziyue seethed: Ning Yi, just you wait! I’ll soon make Eldest Young Master Gu see my true worth!

Her secondary phone buzzed again.

Hacker:  [He’s moving farther away again.]

Ding Ziyue roared in her mind: Then where the hell is the founder?!

Meanwhile, on the yacht, Ning Yi was having the time of her life, yelling “Wheee—” as she explored her grand birthday gift. Her verdict?

Luxurious! Comfortable! Mine! Perfect!

The yacht’s interior was meticulously customized, boasting high-end furnishings and countless entertainment zones, from a mini KTV and bar to an observation cabin and a restaurant staffed for on-demand service. After placing her order, Ning Yi went to the deck to enjoy the sea breeze.

Eldest Young Master Gu sat silently, lost in thought, his tranquil aura radiating peace—until Ning Yi arrived.

“Honey~~~”

Gu Cheng glanced at her. “Do you like it?”

Ning Yi nodded enthusiastically. “Love it so much!”

Having survived a world filled with zombie-infested waters, Ning Yi hadn’t been on the sea in ages. Now, with the salty breeze and the yacht’s smooth glide, she felt utterly rejuvenated.

Gu Cheng watched her floral pink dress billow in the breeze, and for a rare moment, even he felt like he was on vacation—an experience he hadn’t indulged in for years as he travelled the globe for work.

“Alright,” Gu Cheng extended his hand to her. “Stop bouncing around.”

Though the yacht had safety railings and the sea was calm, her hyperactivity made him uneasy.

Just as he reached out, the yacht took a turn, tilting slightly. Standing near the railing, Ning Yi wobbled precariously.

“Madam! Be careful!”

“Danger ahead!”

The ten bodyguards stationed nearby instantly rushed toward her, ready to dive in and retrieve her if necessary.

But before they could react, Gu Cheng was already at her side, his movements swift and decisive.

The normally composed Eldest Young Master Gu had rarely moved with such urgency, stunning his guards.

With a stern expression, he pulled Ning Yi firmly into his arms.

“Don’t move.”

Realizing she was at fault, Ning Yi obediently nestled against him, rubbing her head against his chest. “Hehe, don’t be mad.”

Gu Cheng: “…” Always knows how to act coy.

The bodyguards discreetly retreated a few steps, and Chief Assistant Zhou, who had rushed over, held onto the railing with a blissful smile.

This damn love story is going to kill me with sweetness.

In the end, Gu Cheng silently put a bright orange life jacket on Ning Yi, strapping it tightly. The bulky squares destroyed the elegance of her floral dress, dampening her carefree vibe.

Ning Yi: Q n Q.

Ignoring her reluctant pout, Gu Cheng fastened the straps securely.

Defeated, Ning Yi stood on her yacht, gazing wistfully at the ocean. Finally, she called out dramatically:

“Honey! Hold me!”

Gu Cheng raised an eyebrow. Finally scared enough to ask for help?

He walked over, wrapping an arm around her waist.

As his shirt billowed in the wind, the outline of his muscular frame was faintly visible. Standing behind her, his warm, solid presence exuded strength and familiarity, enveloping Ning Yi like a shield against the sea breeze.

Gu Cheng raised his hand and smoothed down the hair that the wind had tousled.

Ning Yi thought the moment felt romantic, so she romantically quipped, “Deep-fried, or air-fried.”

Gu Cheng: “?”

After a pause, Gu Cheng asked, “Are you hungry?”

With a doting expression, Ning Yi shook her head. “Jack! You jump, I jump!” She stretched out her arms, re-enacting ‘Titanic’ dramatically.

Gu Cheng: “…”

Ning Yi sighed wistfully. “Honey, when will you ever understand my little jokes?”

Gu Cheng: “…” He was genuinely concerned that one day he might actually understand her.

Unbothered by ‘Titanic,’ Gu Cheng played along for a bit before heading to an online meeting. His upright stance on the deck exuded diligence and poise.

Assistant Zhou, standing nearby, felt conflicted:

  • One side of him admired Eldest Young Master Gu’s unparalleled work ethic.
  • The other side lamented his inability to prioritize leisure with his wife.

Ning Yi, however, didn’t mind. She was perfectly content entertaining herself.

“What do you want to do? Let the bodyguards watch over you,” Gu Cheng instructed, his tone firm. Thinking of her earlier attempt to bring a full fishing kit, he added, “But no getting into the water, understood?”

“Got it, honey~” Ning Yi grinned obediently.

As the yacht glided smoothly through a calm stretch of sea, Ning Yi enjoyed a seafood feast on the deck while Gu Cheng conducted meetings below in the office.

To Ning Yi, this dynamic felt perfect: Husband works, wife eats.

After eating her fill, she basked in the sunshine, glanced at the distant sky, the nearby speedboats, and her securely fastened life jacket. Her expression gradually turned mischievous.

Gu Cheng, deeply engrossed in his work, eventually concluded all his meetings. When he realized some time had passed without Ning Yi calling him in her mind, he found it unusual.

Still on a video call, the executive on the other side joked, “Eldest Young Master Gu, aren’t you worried about leaving your wife alone outside?”

“She’s nearby,” Gu Cheng replied calmly.

The executive chuckled. “It seems your relationship with your wife is very stable.”

Gu Cheng: “Mm.” His tone was neutral, but his mind instinctively reached out.

“Ah Yi.”

After a pause, Ning Yi’s cheerful voice replied, “What is it, honey?”

“What are you doing?” Gu Cheng asked as he closed his laptop and stood up.

“I’m thinking about you, hubby~” Ning Yi’s voice carried a strange emotion—a mix of joy and warmth.

Her words startled Gu Cheng slightly, enough for him to stop mid-step. He chuckled softly. “That almost sounded genuine.”

Just as he was about to say more, his vision went black.

Ning Yi had swapped their bodies again.

In his new perspective, Gu Cheng felt an unsettling chill in his lower body. Instinctively, he assumed she had done something to his freshly healed legs. Then, he remembered he was in her body.

“Open your eyes, honey~” Ning Yi’s cheerful voice rang in his ears.

Gu Cheng opened his eyes—and immediately looked down.

He was airborne.

Gu Cheng: “?”

Below, Ning Yi stood on the yacht’s deck, smiling benevolently and waving at him.

“Honey! That’s parasailing. Do you like it?” Ning Yi shouted. “You’re flying!”

Hanging mid-air, Gu Cheng’s expression was blank as he asked, “This is your idea of missing me?”

“Yes!” Ning Yi yelled back. “I wanted to share the experience with you!”

— Man, do you want to play with love? The kind that sends you to the heavens—literally!”

Gu Cheng: “…”

“Fine,” he muttered, his tone icy. “Wait for me to come down.”
