After the spatial appearance, Ruan Ning was surprised to find that the teardrop mole below the corner of her right eye had disappeared as well.
Ruan Ning speculated that perhaps there was some connection between the appearance of the space and the disappearance of the teardrop mole. However, it was just a guess without concrete evidence.
Nevertheless, this was a good thing for her, and Ruan Ning decided not to dwell too much on why the teardrop mole had disappeared. She just hoped that it wouldn’t reappear in the future. Her face was already charming enough; she didn’t need to become any more beautiful.
Now that she had a place to stay and the teardrop mole on her face was gone, Ruan Ning felt a considerable reduction in pressure.
After careful consideration, she finally decided to take action and planned to spend the next couple of days going downstairs to collect supplies from places like supermarkets and pharmacies. She had already scoped out the area, particularly around the east side of the neighbourhood.
Looking at the supplies she had bought before the apocalypse, they seemed quite plentiful, but in reality, they wouldn’t last long. Especially drinking water, she had avoided buying mineral water because it was too heavy.
If she remembered correctly from the plot, the water and electricity in S City would be cut off starting from the fifth day of the apocalypse.
Losing electricity was manageable, but what would she do without water? There weren’t many containers in the apartment to store water, and even if she filled them all up, it would probably only last about a month.
If it were yesterday before she had the space, Ruan Ning would definitely have waited until the supplies in the apartment were almost depleted before going out to search.
But things were different now; she had the space to discreetly stash supplies without worrying about carrying too much and being unable to outrun the zombies, or about others noticing and trying to steal her things.
Moreover, there were undoubtedly far fewer zombies in the neighbourhood compared to outside, and other people were hesitating to leave their homes, hoping for rescue and not daring to venture out.
This period of time was precisely the best opportunity for her to gather supplies.
If she didn’t seize this opportunity to collect more supplies now, it would be even harder to take things in front of many people later. Even if there was no one around, it would be difficult to find a place with such a surplus of supplies to stash into her space all at once.
Though Ruan Ning was delicate and seemingly fragile, with a timid and soft nature, she was not indecisive.
Taking action immediately, she wandered around the apartment and finally grabbed a golf club as her weapon of choice. Ruan Ning didn’t dare to use a kitchen knife; although it had more killing power against zombies, the thought of getting up close to them…
She, she was genuinely scared.
So she opted for long-range attacks instead. While the zombies were still slow and hadn’t evolved yet, she could easily flee if necessary. There was no need to confront them head-on.
After all, her goal was to collect supplies; it wasn’t like playing an online game where defeating a small monster would earn her experience points.
With a clear goal in mind, Ruan Ning felt great, filled with confidence for the future. After enjoying her dinner, checking the doors and windows, and spending some time lying in bed browsing posts, she went to sleep early.
She needed to wake up early tomorrow to gather supplies; she had to be well-rested.
In the early hours of the morning, when most people would still be asleep, she absolutely couldn’t let anyone discover her ability to manipulate space. So, she had to avoid collecting supplies where others might see her. Besides, even though zombies didn’t experience fatigue, perhaps they would take a break during the day after wandering around all night.
