MDMSC Chapter 4

You Can’t Be Stupid, Right…

“Pfft.”

Jun Yueyue burst out laughing.

After she finished laughing, Fang Anyu sat down with his plate without any reaction at all. Only then did Fang Anyan realise he had been tricked. His brother could not hear what Jun Yueyue had said in the first place.

And besides, if he had not looked, why was he feeling guilty? Why had he explained himself?!

Under Fang Anyan’s death glare, Jun Yueyue sat down, picked up her chopsticks, and began eating. She looked as if she did not intend to cause any more trouble.

Fang Anyan stared at the top of her head for a moment, grinding his molars. When Fang Anyu looked up at him in confusion, wondering why he was still standing instead of eating, Fang Anyan finally gritted his teeth and sat down.

But just as Fang Anyan swallowed his anger and began eating, Jun Yueyue very naturally picked up one of the fried eggs from Fang Anyu’s plate, took a bite, and said faintly,

“You really didn’t look? Just now upstairs…”

“Cough… cough, cough, cough…”

Fang Anyan choked on a mouthful of food. He hurriedly got up and left the table, went straight upstairs, and slammed the door shut behind him.

Jun Yueyue clicked her tongue twice, then turned her head and said to Fang Anyu,

“Your cooking is pretty good.”

The egg was fried golden on both sides, with a runny centre. It was exactly Jun Yueyue’s favourite level of doneness.

Jun Yu looked up at Jun Yueyue. After eating a few tasteless mouthfuls, she also put down her chopsticks and had a servant push her back to her room.

Only Jun Yueyue and Fang Anyu were left in the room. During mealtimes, the servants would not appear unless summoned. Unexpectedly, the two of them were extremely harmonious. The only sounds in the room were the faint clinks of tableware, swallowing, and chewing.

It had been a very long time since Jun Yueyue had eaten food this delicious. When she first started eating, she felt as if she could sweep through the entire dining table. But in reality, after one bowl of porridge, two small steamed buns, one sweet pancake of some unknown kind, and one and a half fried eggs, she was already too full to eat anymore.

After wiping her mouth with a napkin, she did not get up. Instead, she propped her hand against the table with great interest and watched Fang Anyu eat in a slow, unhurried manner—but at a speed that was not slow at all.

He kept eating.

He continued eating until Jun Yueyue began to feel shocked, yet he still did not stop.

“This is almost catching up to my appetite after I mutated…”

Seeing that he had already emptied several plates and was now reaching out for another steamed bun, Jun Yueyue finally could not hold back. Under the table, she reached out, lifted the hem of his shirt, and pressed his stomach.

Sure enough, it was hard. It was already very swollen…

“You can’t keep eating. Hey?”

Jun Yueyue habitually said this, only then remembering that he could not hear. So she patted his stomach, grabbed his shoulder, and blew air by his ear.

“Can you really not hear a single thing?! You can’t eat anymore. Your stomach’s going to explode. You’re not actually stupid, are you…”

Fang Anyu had half a steamed bun stuffed in his mouth. Feeling his stomach being patted and his ear itching, he finally turned his head to look at Jun Yueyue, his eyes full of confusion.

The two of them stared at each other from less than half a palm’s distance away.

Looking at his clear eyes, Jun Yueyue’s brain short-circuited, and she suddenly thought of the crystals inside second-rank zombies’ brains during the apocalypse.

They had also been this clear and bright. Although they were dug out from the brains of filthy, disgusting living corpses, they were clean without the slightest impurity. Especially for mutants like them, they were extremely good things.

Jun Yueyue was dazed for a moment, then pursed her lips. What use was having such a nice pair of eyes? His stomach was already stretched like this, yet he still wanted to eat. Fang Anyu might really be an idiot.

She reached out directly, pulled the half bun out of his mouth, threw it onto the plate, then stared fixedly at him. She moved her face closer, deliberately slowing the rhythm of her speech. She thought that deaf-mute people usually knew sign language or lip-reading. She did not know how to sign, but she could try lip-reading.

“I… said… you… can’t… eat… any… more…”

Jun Yueyue held Fang Anyu’s still-puffed, bun-filled cheeks and dragged out her voice and tone.

“Your… stomach… is… already… like… a… pregnant… woman’s… Can… you… really… still… fit… more… in?!”

Saying this sentence was exhausting. After Jun Yueyue finished speaking, she let go of Fang Anyu’s head and rubbed both sides of her own cheeks, waiting for his response.

But after waiting for a while, Jun Yueyue saw that his eyes were still confused. This time, he knew Jun Yueyue was talking to him, but he could not understand what she meant at all.

He merely furrowed his brows slightly, chewed and chewed with his cheeks puffed out, then shook his head at Jun Yueyue, indicating that he did not understand. At the same time, he looked at her with a somewhat puzzled gaze.

Other than on their wedding day, this was the first time this woman had tried to speak to him.

She had clearly told him to stay far away from her, preferably to never speak to her for the rest of his life. Even when the two of them had done it last night, this woman had not told him what she was going to do. By the time he reacted and understood, it had already begun…

Fang Anyu lowered his hand beneath the table and touched the small notebook in his trouser pocket. His hand reached halfway in, but in the end, he still did not take it out.

He remembered that on their wedding day, when he took out the small notebook and tried to communicate with this woman, she wrote something in it, then threw the notebook at his face and told him to get lost.

Jun Yueyue looked at him in frustration, her expression somewhat helpless.

Fang Anyu withdrew the hand that had reached halfway into his pocket. After pausing for a moment, he simply ignored whatever Jun Yueyue was saying. To some extent, this was also Fang Anyu’s little temper. The original owner’s previous behaviour had made him unhappy, so he refused to communicate with Jun Yueyue.

After pausing for a while, seeing that Jun Yueyue was only looking at him and had made no further move, Fang Anyu reached out again for the food on the table, preparing to continue eating.

Jun Yueyue let out an “Hey!” Having already decided in her heart that Fang Anyu was an idiot, she once again snatched away the food he had brought to his mouth.

Fang Anyu bit down on empty air. He froze for a moment, then turned to look at Jun Yueyue. His brows furrowed. He was very obviously unhappy!

Jun Yueyue let out another “Ha!” and laughed as she said, “You’re even frowning? You’re unhappy now? You…”

Jun Yueyue tried gesturing. She pointed at the food on the table, then pointed at Fang Anyu’s stomach, then waved her hand.

*You can’t eat anymore.*

Fang Anyu watched very seriously. Then he reached out again for the food and ate while watching Jun Yueyue gesture an X over her mouth. His brows were still furrowed, as if he were watching a badly performed monkey show.

Jun Yueyue, who had lost all patience: …

To hell with it. These two brothers—one was a dead tsundere and the other was an idiot. She should hurry up and figure out how to detach herself from the main plotline. Living her own small, peaceful life in this world was the proper business.

So Jun Yueyue simply stopped caring. She went back upstairs to wash her hands and put on a tighter outer layer. There was really no helping it. The original owner’s underwear was all the kind made of a few thin straps, extremely flirtatious. At first glance, it practically looked like lingerie. As the former Muscular Barbie Jun Yueyue, she did not touch a single piece of it. Even the underwear she wore belonged to Fang Anyu. The two of them had already slept together anyway. Wearing a bit of his clothing was nothing.

She wore something tighter in order to hold down the two great mountains, then went outside to exercise. This body was truly too weak. Although the figure was still very good, it was unhealthily thin. Most importantly, her appetite was far too small. Jun Yueyue had eaten until she was full, but psychologically, her craving for food had not yet been satisfied. It felt unsatisfying. She had to start training as soon as possible.

This world was a novel world. Jun Yueyue remembered very clearly from when she had read it that there were no ability-user settings. Even so, she still planned to practise some of the effective combat techniques she had learned and figured out in the apocalypse. After all, right now, she was a delicate, powerless girl.

When Jun Yueyue had dressed and gone downstairs to exercise, she saw that Fang Anyu had finally stopped eating and was slowly walking upstairs. As the two passed each other on the staircase, Jun Yueyue’s hand got itchy and she lightly patted his stomach.

“Be careful with that belly. Your water’s going to break soon, isn’t it?”

By the time Fang Anyu looked up at her, she had already run off without a trace.

This was the first time she had gone outside since transmigrating. After living for so long in the apocalypse in a constant state of combat readiness, the outdoors, to Jun Yueyue, was a place filled with danger on all sides. She could not relax for even a moment, or she might easily lose her life.

After opening the door, Jun Yueyue instinctively stood with her back to it, alert to her surroundings. Every bit of limited muscle in her body tensed…

After a while, she laughed at herself. Looking at the huge courtyard, the carefully maintained greenery, the arranged garden scenery, and the servants moving around the yard, she let out a deep breath.

This was the world of a novel, not that world where one could die at any moment and be torn apart and eaten by the living dead.

Jun Yueyue reminded herself of this inwardly.

Even so, in the end, she still chose a location that was easy to defend and difficult to attack for her exercise. It was inside a large wooden flower trellis covered in greenery.

When she returned to the villa drenched in sweat and utterly exhausted, she climbed up to the second floor and began tugging off her clothes from the doorway, preparing to take a proper shower. When she was down to the last layer and passed by the bedroom, she saw Fang Anyu lying on the bed, buried in the quilt. He seemed to be asleep.

Jun Yueyue whistled to herself again. Taking advantage of the fact that Fang Anyu could not hear, she complained,

“That sleeping position won’t do. You’ll press down on the baby.”

After taking a quick shower in the bathroom, Jun Yueyue came out wearing a bathrobe. She saw that Fang Anyu was still curled up and buried there. His posture was even stranger than before, and he seemed to be… trembling?

He could not really be about to give birth, could he?

Jun Yueyue made this heartless comment in her mind, but still walked over to Fang Anyu’s side and tugged at him.

“Hey, what’s wrong with you… Why are you sweating so much? What happened?”

She threw the towel she had been using to dry her hair to the side and pulled Fang Anyu over so he was lying properly. But he quickly curled himself into a ball again, both hands clenched into fists, pressing painfully against his stomach. He was trembling even harder.

Jun Yueyue understood almost instantly what was going on.

This idiot had eaten too much. Now his stomach was swollen like a big rock. He was in pain!

She quickly adjusted Fang Anyu so that he was half-lying on his back and would not press on his stomach anymore. Then she searched the room for something sharp. On the dressing table, she found a beauty needle, rinsed it with water, pulled over Fang Anyu’s hand, and began pricking the joints in his palm.

After pricking him a few times, she pulled him toward the bathroom. Fang Anyu’s face was deathly pale, his curly hair damp with sweat and stuck to his forehead. Trembling, he was dragged into the bathroom by Jun Yueyue. She lifted the toilet lid and pressed his head down toward the toilet—

At that moment, Fang Anyan, who had heard the servant’s report after they cleared the plates and had been scared out of his wits, also rushed into the room without caring about anything.

His brother had to be watched when he ate. Otherwise, he would stuff himself until he became ill. He could barely sense fullness and really might eat himself to death!

Fang Anyan had been angered back to his room by Jun Yueyue just now, but he had not expected that the deranged woman, Jun Yue, would actually fail to watch his brother! Before the two families discussed the marriage, the private contract they signed had already written out all the precautions for living with his brother in careful detail. This matter was the very first rule!

Fang Anyan was so angry he was about to go mad. Especially when he charged into the room, followed the sound into the bedroom, and saw his brother being forced by that madwoman with his head pressed toward the toilet. At that moment, his rage finally reached its peak—
