ATNMDT Chapter 90

Their lips touched, and the sticky “tonic” was pushed entirely into her mouth.

Mu Wanwan’s eyes widened slightly.

Mr. Dragon quickly released her and covered his visibly flushed face with one large hand. His phoenix eyes were shy, yet carried a faint trace of smugness.

An indescribable texture spread across her tongue.

It smelled slightly foul yet somehow fragrant. It was slippery but also a little crunchy.

After swallowing it, Mu Wanwan felt absolutely terrible.

A burning sensation rose from her dantian, while the meridians that had previously been damaged by the shock waves began aching in a strangely intense manner.

Suppressing the numbness spreading throughout her body, Mu Wanwan shuddered several times.

When she finally recovered, the first thing she did was not confront a certain dragon.

Instead, she hurriedly took out a seed and cultivated a second-rank Blue Star Grass fruit. She drank all the slightly bitter juice inside in one breath before the taste in her mouth finally improved.

“Chirp~”

What was wrong?

Mengmeng had also happily finished eating a Blue Star Grass fruit. Seeing Mu Wanwan’s miserable expression, it rubbed against her leg and chirped twice to comfort her.

Mu Wanwan was nearly in tears.

She had never imagined that Mr. Dragon would deliberately seduce her merely to make her swallow the supposedly delicious “tonic.”

This dragon really had changed.

He never would have done such a thing before.

Perhaps her gaze was too resentful, because Mr. Dragon also began feeling embarrassed.

Seeing the redness around her eyes, he spoke in a voice that was no longer as cold as before.

“Wife…”

“Heh.”

Mu Wanwan raised her eyes.

“Tasty?”

Mr. Dragon: “…”

Mu Wanwan had initially thought this dragon had finally become enlightened, and had even felt a little expectant.

Now it appeared that it had merely been a childish dragon cub’s trick to make her eat the disgusting tonic.

Still, she knew he had done it for her sake, so she was not particularly angry.

Her tone softened slightly.

“What was that thing?”

Mr. Dragon immediately seized the opportunity his wife had given him.

With a red face and trembling ears, he extended his hand towards her.

“I’ll take you to see.”

Mu Wanwan looked at his long eyelashes, which resembled two small fans, and felt slightly tempted.

“But outside…”

They were at the bottom of the sea.

She was only a third-rank cultivator and could not yet breathe through her skin. Furthermore, her body was not particularly strong. The water pressure would undoubtedly flatten her.

A faint smile appeared on Mr. Dragon’s thin lips.

He walked towards her and, beneath Mu Wanwan’s gaze, revealed his broken horn without hesitation for the first time.

In the beginning, he had feared she would be frightened.

Later, he had feared she would despise him.

After that, he had feared she would find him ugly.

However, after everything that had happened, he now understood clearly what sort of person she was.

If there was still anything he worried about or feared—

It was probably the blood staining his hands.

His broken dragon horn gradually emitted a gentle, lustrous glow.

Standing before Mu Wanwan, his beautiful eyelids concealed the emotions hidden within his dark pupils.

Something slightly cold touched her forehead.

Mu Wanwan saw herself reflected deeply in his eyes, while a circle of gentle white light surrounded her body.

It looked almost as though—

She herself was glowing.

The thought made Mu Wanwan feel terribly embarrassed.

She slowly floated into the air, enclosed within a transparent film of light that she could barely feel.

“Chirp~”

Wanwan was flying!

Mu Wanwan experimentally extended her arm.

She could still touch Mr. Dragon’s arm through the light film, and the sensation remained distinct.

However, she could not control it very well.

This light film was completely different from the spiritual barrier Mr. Dragon had created before. The slightest movement sent her gliding far away, like a blind girl unable to control where she was going.

“I’ll guide you.”

His deep, magnetic voice sounded beside her ear.

Mu Wanwan looked at Mr. Dragon as he blinked.

“I’ll change first.”

Mu Wanwan: “…”

Was this dragon telling her to look away because he intended to start acting shamelessly?

Had she known they would be going outside again, she would never have made him change earlier. QwQ

Mu Wanwan did her best to ignore the suggestive sounds behind her.

Then her wrist was gently caught.

Before she could turn around, the light film surrounding her suddenly darkened.

Deprived of her vision, she became somewhat uneasy.

“Mr. Dragon?”

“I’m here.”

His hand remained around her wrist, while Mengmeng’s anxious chirps followed from behind them.

Her body glided uncontrollably for a long time, giving Mu Wanwan the sensation of flight.

*Splash—*

The sound of entering the water was unmistakable.

She felt herself moving rapidly through it.

Aside from the clear sensation of Mr. Dragon holding her wrist, she could also feel a faint, cool dampness.

It was as though her entire body had been submerged in pleasantly cool summer water.

Her skirt floated around her, occasionally brushing against objects with strange textures.

The light film gradually brightened.

Mu Wanwan slowly began to see everything before her.

The deep-blue, chilly seawater.

Strands of warm light coming from an unknown source.

Schools of colourful fish that could be considered beautiful swimming before her.

The hand holding hers gently but firmly.

And—

The beautiful dragon floating directly in front of her, his black hair tied back and a faint smile on his face.

Mu Wanwan stared blankly.

His broken horn was fully exposed, and his half-bald ears continued floating stubbornly despite the water pressing against them.

Her eyes suddenly felt hot.

Why did it seem as though this dragon had learned so much after she woke up?

Why was he suddenly being so romantic?

Her free hand awkwardly grasped at the seawater.

Mu Wanwan raised the corners of her lips, only to see the increasingly excessive dragon point above her head.

What was it?

Her heart filled with anticipation.

Feeling delighted, Mu Wanwan followed the direction of his finger and looked upwards.

Brilliant beams of multicoloured light descended from above them and reflected within her eyes.

Her wrist was released.

Mu Wanwan’s eyelashes trembled as she closed her eyes, waiting for the dragon to give her a romantic embrace or kiss.

However, she waited for a long time, and Mr. Dragon did nothing.

Mu Wanwan opened her eyes.

Floating before her in the seawater was a semi-transparent pink object.

It was several times smaller than the “tonic” she had just swallowed and was wriggling unwillingly inside Mr. Dragon’s large hand.

With his other hand, Mr. Dragon pulled her hand over through the light film.

His expression was serious, as though he were contemplating something very important.

After a long pause, Mu Wanwan watched nervously as he slowly wrote across her palm:

“Very.”

“Many.”

“Not—” He crossed that out.

“Tonics.”

After finishing, he paused and looked at her expectantly.

“Wife.”

“You.”

“Eat.”

“Very.”

“Good.”

Mu Wanwan: “…”

So the colourful light descending from above had not been something Mr. Dragon had specially prepared for her.

It was simply because this was where the “tonics” gathered.

Mu Wanwan tried hard to calm herself.

“Oh.”

This time, she was genuinely angry.

Truly.

The kind of angry that no amount of coaxing could fix. 🙂

Under the crushingly practical romance of an incomparably straightforward dragon, congratulations to Mr. Dragon!

After successfully “destroying his wife’s beautiful fantasy of a merman prince,” he had now unlocked the achievement:

**“Shattering His Wife’s Romantic Deep-Sea Fantasy into Pieces ×20.”**

While the human and dragon “foraged” beneath the sea, Jiu Qing successfully contacted Uncle Zong with Uncle Tie’s help.

Everyone chose to meet at Xianqing Pavilion.

“Are you telling the truth?”

Uncle Zong held Aunt Yun in his arms. Uncle Chen and Aunt Hua stood beside them.

They did not appear to be in good condition.

Although they had used spiritual power to remove the dust from their clothes, the torn edges caused by travelling too hurriedly could not be concealed.

Uncle Zong and Uncle Chen were in slightly better condition. As beastmen, their bodies were tough, so travelling continuously for several days had not affected them too severely.

Aunt Hua was relatively powerful and was also doing reasonably well.

Aunt Yun, however, had not yet completely recovered.

Without medicinal pills over the past several days, the curse that had nearly disappeared began attacking again, draining away the talent she had only recently regained.

“It’s true.”

Jiu Qing sat opposite them without wearing a cloak.

Her peach-blossom eyes were naturally alluring.

“Grand Elder Chen, Aunt Hua of the flower demons, we can hardly be considered strangers.”

“I didn’t expect Wanwan to know you as well. It appears we share some fate.”

Jiu Qing’s tone was already quite gentle, and her attitude was good.

Nevertheless, Aunt Hua’s expression briefly stiffened.

After meeting Jiu Qing’s gaze for a while, she smiled.

“Little princess of the Nine-Tailed Fox Clan, now that you’ve encountered old acquaintances, aren’t you going to apologise?”

Jiu Qing looked somewhat uncomfortable and bit her lip.

“I was indeed ignorant in those days.”

“That’s enough. It happened years ago.”

Uncle Chen patted Aunt Hua’s shoulder.

“She only ate one of your leaves.”

Aunt Hua glared at him irritably.

“That’s right. She ate one of my leaves, then discovered it wasn’t as delicious as it looked and became poisoned.”

“After that, the Nine-Tailed Fox Clan drove us out of their territory. I’m glad you still remember.”

Jiu Qing felt genuinely embarrassed.

She had done it when she was still a little fox. At the time, Aunt Hua and Uncle Chen had both been extremely weak.

The two sides exchanged smiles.

It could not exactly be considered the resolution of their old grudge.

However, because they now shared a friend who needed their help, one side chose to put aside her pride and apologise, while the other decided to let the matter go.

“That worked out well for us,” Uncle Zong interjected. “Without that disagreement, Yun’er and I might never have met Brother Chen.”

His interruption temporarily brought the matter to an end.

“These are the medicinal pills she left for you.”

Now that everything had been clarified, neither side had anything to conceal.

Jiu Qing removed the Spatial pouch Mu Wanwan had left for Uncle Zong and the others.

“And this.”

Jiu Qing paused before handing an iron ring to Uncle Zong.

“Uncle Tie’s final possession.”

After the dwarf died, Jiu Qing had originally intended to deal with his remains.

Before she could do anything, however, flames ignited from Uncle Tie’s chest and burned the dwarf completely.

Not even ashes remained.

Only this iron ring was left behind.

The atmosphere became considerably heavier.

Uncle Zong accepted the Spatial pouch. When Aunt Yun saw the medicinal pills inside, her face filled with worry.

“Girl…”

Uncle Zong changed how he addressed her.

“Is the ruler’s wife currently safe?”

Jiu Qing paused briefly.

“With that person beside her, she should be fine. I’ll be leaving now.”

As she stood, Uncle Chen spoke indifferently.

“You smell of dragon blood.”

“Does it belong to Ao Xue?”

Jiu Qing’s footsteps abruptly stopped.

She turned around and fixed him with a sharp gaze.

“Let’s talk.”

Uncle Chen smiled pleasantly.
