MDMSC Chapter 35

Caught in the Act — 3-in-1

Jun Yueyue often had the illusion that she was still that King Kong Barbie from the apocalypse, someone capable of smashing a person’s skull with one punch. She had never imagined that one day, she too would be abducted, pinned down inside a car by several men who did not even look particularly strong, unable to move at all.

Almost instantly, she knew what was going on. She just had not expected that this kind of situation, which only appeared in dramas and novels, would really happen to her. After transmigrating over, everything around her, as well as Fang Anyu, had felt far too real. Almost every day, she forgot that she was living inside a novel.

The car started moving. She struggled uselessly a couple of times, then began screaming at the top of her lungs. No. She could not be taken away like this. Fang Anyu was still outside. He was alone on a street full of traffic. He could not hear or speak. He might not even be able to get home!

“Let go! Let me go first, I—ah!”

The car suddenly braked. One of the men, unable to resist the inertia, elbowed her hard in the middle of her back. For a moment, her vision went black from the pain, and she could not speak.

“What are you doing?!” one of the men beside Jun Yueyue roared.

The driver and the man in the passenger seat both removed their sunglasses. Their car had swerved left and right before stopping in the middle of the road, surrounded by the dissatisfied honking of drivers in front and behind them.

“Go! Fuck, the traffic police will come soon!” another man pressing down on Jun Yueyue shouted.

“Go my ass!” The driver turned his head and shouted while looking at the side mirror. “There’s someone hanging on the car door. If we keep going, someone will die!”

Jun Yueyue’s heart suddenly clenched. While the man pressing down on her was distracted, she ignored the pain in her arm, twisted around, and groped behind her until her hand found the man’s waist. She twisted hard. The man holding her arm cried out and let go in pain.

The car window rolled down a little. As soon as Jun Yueyue climbed up, she saw Fang Anyu standing outside the window. His face was deathly pale. After being dragged for this distance, his arm and wrist were in terrible pain, and the web between his thumb and index finger had torn open. But he still bit his lip desperately, refusing to let go no matter what.

“Shake him off!” the people in the car shouted toward the driver.

“You fucking come and shake him off!” The driver slammed the steering wheel hard. He really had tried, but this person was acting as if he did not want his life. He simply could not be shaken off!

Jun Yueyue grabbed the car door and tried to unlock it, but one of the men grabbed her. She turned her head and glared at him, her eyes nearly splitting with rage.

“My grandfather sent you to catch me so I could go back and become the Jun family heir. The person outside is my lover. If something happens to him, I’ll make you pay it back ten times over for the rest of your lives!”

Every word from Jun Yueyue was squeezed out through her teeth. These men were indeed under Old Master Jun, but they were all ordinary security guards, not some vicious underworld thugs. They had already been nervous about being ordered to snatch someone off the street like this. Who could have expected there would be someone so desperate that he would cling to the car and refuse to let go?

Moreover, they all knew Jun Yueyue was the eldest miss of the Jun family. The old master had indeed said they did not need to be polite to her, but if they really injured her and something happened, even if the old master did not pursue it, it would be hard to guarantee that this eldest miss would not hold a grudge. They were all just people trying to earn a living. They did not want to be remembered by a rich person with a grudge. Forget whether this eldest miss truly became the person in power of the Jun family in the future—even if she did not, her background was not something ordinary people like them could afford to provoke!

As the saying went, the soft feared the hard, and the hard feared those who did not care about their lives. Jun Yueyue and Fang Anyu outside the door—one was hard, the other did not care about his life—had stunned all of them.

The men looked at one another. The person holding Jun Yueyue’s arm loosened his grip. Jun Yueyue unlocked the car door and pulled it open. Fang Anyu immediately released the car door and reached out to pull Jun Yueyue.

Of course, these people could not just let Jun Yueyue leave like this. They watched her warily. Things had already reached this point. If they did not bring her back, they would not be able to explain themselves. Jun Yueyue originally wanted to stall until the traffic police arrived, but at this moment, who knew whether the traffic police had all gone to eat? Apart from cars driving around them, not a single traffic policeman was in sight.

She then remembered the last time they returned to Xiude Town, when they had called the police and then been chased into the woods, yet the police had still not arrived. She had basically lost all hope in the police of this world. Besides, she had already planned to go back anyway. She had promised Jun Yu.

She just had not expected Old Master Jun to lack even this much patience.

Jun Yueyue simply reached out, grabbed Fang Anyu’s wrist, and pulled him into the car. She looked at Fang Anyu’s tightly furrowed brows and twisted wrist, and the little vein at her temple bulged and started dancing.

It was dislocated.

Jun Yueyue’s tears almost fell immediately. She turned back and cursed at the driver, “What are you looking at your mother for? Drive!”

The driver was shaken by Jun Yueyue’s aura. He grabbed the steering wheel, shifted gears, and stepped on the gas in one smooth motion. By the time he came back to himself, the car had already started moving. He did not know whether to continue or stop. Having been frightened by a young girl, his face flushed red.

Jun Yueyue looked at the small tear in the web of Fang Anyu’s right hand and his twisted wrist. She took a deep breath, forced useless tears back, met Fang Anyu’s worried gaze, smiled briefly, then quickly supported his wrist with one hand and grabbed his hand with the other. With a twist, there was a soft click, and she put his dislocated wrist back into place.

Fang Anyu could not cry out in pain. He only suddenly inhaled sharply. But the grown men around them, watching the two of them, were a little frightened.

Both of them looked weak enough to be pinched with one hand, but one had clung to a moving car like he did not want his life, and the other reset a bone barehanded. The key thing was that the one whose bone was being reset did not even make a sound. How were these strong men, two of whom could not help providing sound effects, supposed to preserve their dignity?

Fang Anyu’s gaze never left Jun Yueyue. He seemed unable to feel pain. Whether it was his wrist or the torn wound on his hand, he did not even look at them. He only stared nervously at Jun Yueyue. His only slightly scratched left hand had been clutching Jun Yueyue’s clothes from the moment he got into the car, trembling slightly. Clearly, he had been frightened badly.

Jun Yueyue’s heart hurt so much it was almost bleeding. But this time, Old Master Jun had truly provoked her. Jun Yueyue had not expected Fang Anyu to be this foolish, to actually cling to the car door and refuse to let go. If he had been accidentally dragged under the car, then now she…

She did not even dare think about it.

Fang Anyu had been protected by Fang Anyan in the Fang family for so many years. He had not even been to a shopping mall. Suddenly encountering this kind of thing, Jun Yueyue could hardly imagine how frightened he had been, how he had reacted so quickly and still clung desperately to the car door…

Jun Yueyue’s voice was a little choked. “I’ll go with you to Xiude Town, but first go to the hospital. After that, drive to Yunjiang Villa District and send him home.”

These strong men now had no idea what to do either. After all, Old Master Jun had not set a deadline for bringing Jun Yueyue back. They had almost caused a fatal incident just now, so at this moment, they did not dare disobey Jun Yueyue.

Jun Yueyue should not have separated from Fang Anyu at this time, but his hand needed proper treatment and rest. Also, if she returned to the Jun family, Old Master Jun did not like him and who knew what tricks he would play. If Fang Anyu stayed by her side, it would actually make things inconvenient for Jun Yueyue. As long as Old Master Jun believed she truly liked Fang Anyu, he only had to casually hold Fang Anyu in his grasp, and Jun Yueyue would become a puppet on strings, not daring to resist.

So the safest and most suitable choice was to leave him at the Fang family and let Fang Anyan take good care of him.

The driver was very obedient and drove toward Yunjiang Villa District. Jun Yueyue directly made a call to Fang Anyan.

It took a long time for the call to connect. Fang Anyan’s tone was terrible. “I’m in a meeting. What do you want?”

“Your brother is injured. His wrist was dislocated, and the web of his hand is torn. We’re heading to the hospital now. After that, I need to go back to Xiude Town. Find a way to come back.” It was rare for Jun Yueyue to speak so calmly to Fang Anyan, but the content made Fang Anyan jump straight up from his chair.

“What did you say?! You took him out again! How did he get hurt? Why not go to the hospital? You—”

Jun Yueyue interrupted him. “Anyan, I’ll explain to you later. We’re at the hospital.”

Fang Anyan was actually unable to explode because of Jun Yueyue’s unusually calm tone. For a moment, he suspected Jun Yueyue was messing with him, because her tone was too calm. Judging by how she usually behaved with his brother, she looked as if even a scrape on his brother’s skin would break her heart. If his brother really had such serious injuries as she said, how could she speak so calmly instead of crying until she could barely breathe?

But then Fang Anyan thought of how quickly Jun Yueyue had transferred her affections and believed it. She was originally a heartless woman. Did he really expect her feelings for his brother to be genuine?

Fang Anyan hung up, briefly explained the meeting contents, handed it over to his assistant to refine, then hurriedly drove out of the company. After getting into the car, he put on his earphones and called Jun Yueyue. “I’m out. Which hospital are you at?”

When Jun Yueyue answered the call, Fang Anyu was getting stitches. He had been given anaesthetic, but he seemed to faint at the sight of needles. His whole person leaned weakly against Jun Yueyue, looking as if he was about to pass out.

The doctor looked at Fang Anyu for a good while. While stitching, he clicked his tongue. “A young man this delicate won’t do. In the future—”

“Doctor, he’s deaf and mute. He can’t hear.” Jun Yueyue cut off the doctor’s words and answered the phone. “Qiuhai City People’s Hospital. Come over. Your brother seems to faint at needles…”

Fang Anyan immediately said, “He’s afraid of that! Don’t let him look. He’ll faint!”

Jun Yueyue murmured in acknowledgement and quickly pulled Fang Anyu’s deathly pale face deeper into her arms. Hearing what Jun Yueyue said, the doctor looked a little embarrassed. He had obviously also heard what Jun Yueyue and Fang Anyan said on the phone. His hands did not stop moving as he added, “If he doesn’t faint at blood and only faints at needles, he was probably frightened by frequent injections as a child.”

Jun Yueyue had seen in the plot that Fang Anyu’s deafness and muteness were caused by an accident in childhood, but the author had never written what kind of accident it was. When she had read it, she had not felt much. But truly standing in this world, truly being able to touch Fang Anyu, and personally feeling his fear, her state of mind was worlds apart from when she read the book.

Fortunately, the tear in the web of his hand was not too serious. After checking his wrist, the doctor even praised Jun Yueyue, saying he only needed to rest properly.

After everything was treated, Fang Anyan arrived too. Jun Yueyue and Fang Anyu were sitting in the lobby. Fang Anyu’s whole body leaned against Jun Yueyue. His eyes were closed, his face pale, and even his lip colour was frighteningly faint. Not far away, several men looked toward Jun Yueyue. It had clearly been a simple matter, just catching someone and bringing her back to Xiude Town, yet somehow it had become like this. They looked like malicious mothers-in-law beating apart a pair of mandarin ducks…

Moreover, they had noticed that something was not right with Fang Anyu just now. Who would make no sound when their bone was being reset? They urgently asked their colleagues and only then learned that the Fang family’s eldest young master was deaf and mute, and that his mind was a little abnormal too… The group felt indescribably guilty and afraid. If they had known this, they would never have acted directly in the middle of the road and dragged someone so far.

One by one, they hid by the corner of the staircase. Over the phone, they had heard Jun Yueyue call the Fang family’s second son over. Afraid of being remembered with hatred, they did not dare show their faces.

The moment Fang Anyan entered the lobby, he saw the glaring bandage on his brother’s hand. He wanted to lose his temper at Jun Yueyue, but seeing his brother’s complexion, all his anger vanished. Even now, he still remembered that when they were children, every time his brother came back from the hospital, he looked exactly like this. He was clearly still breathing, yet he looked as if he was about to die.

Fang Anyan pinched the bridge of his nose, his voice a little distorted. “What happened…”

“My fault,” Jun Yueyue said. “My grandfather sent people to take me back to Xiude Town. I didn’t expect them to snatch me off the road. Anyu saw me being taken and grabbed onto the car door, refusing to let go…”

There was no need to say the rest. Fang Anyan instantly broke out in cold sweat. Even without her saying it, he could imagine how dangerous it had been. Even if he was reasonable and knew this matter was not really Jun Yueyue’s fault, he still could not help getting angry at her. “My brother has never even been to a shopping mall. You took him—”

Fang Anyan’s voice stopped because Fang Anyu opened his eyes and looked at him.

He squeezed out a smile and reached out to pull Fang Anyu, typing on his phone to show him, “Brother, let’s go home and sleep.”

Fang Anyu was pulled to his feet by him, but his other hand did not let go of Jun Yueyue. Jun Yueyue also stood up and glanced toward the staircase not far away. The cowardly men peeking out quickly shrank back.

Jun Yueyue took out her phone and typed:

Anyu, go back with Anyan first. I’m going back to Xiude Town to explain everything clearly to my grandfather, then I’ll come find you.

After Fang Anyu read it, he pressed his lips together but refused to let go of Jun Yueyue. This was not originally such a big deal, but Jun Yueyue’s eyes were made wet by it. From an angle Fang Anyu could not see, Fang Anyan said, “If you can’t settle your family’s mess, then don’t come back to find my brother. My brother is timid. He can’t handle these things.”

For once, Jun Yueyue did not argue with Fang Anyan. After Fang Anyan finished speaking, he pressed his lips together. Actually, what position did he have to say this? Did their family have fewer messes? For the so-called family business, had they not also pushed his brother out for a marriage alliance? He wanted to stop it, but facing his father’s aged and dispirited gaze, Fang Anyan wished he could split himself in two and sell himself instead.

Jun Yueyue only continued typing on her phone:

I’ll be back very soon, really. Wait obediently at home. Take good care of your hand. When I come back, I’ll take you to buy a little bird, okay?

Fang Anyu did not let go.

Jun Yueyue continued:

Anyu, listen to me. Let your brother buy the fish food for now. I’ll definitely come back very soon.

Fang Anyu still did not let go. Jun Yueyue could have pulled away, but Fang Anyu was only clutching a small bit of her clothing. Yet she felt as if she had been bound head to toe and could not take a single step.

They remained in a stalemate for a long while. Jun Yueyue and Fang Anyan took turns persuading him, but neither could move him. Finally, Fang Anyu took the phone and poked out a sentence word by word. Jun Yueyue did not know whether to laugh or cry after reading it.

Are you going to divorce me when you come back?

Jun Yueyue’s tears fell, but she could not help laughing too. She quickly typed:

What are you thinking? I won’t divorce you. I like you so much. How could I bear to?

But we don’t have children yet. You said that if you gave me a baby, we wouldn’t divorce.

Jun Yueyue looked at this line and remembered the words she had used to fool Old Master Jun last time. Fang Anyan must have told Fang Anyu. She could not help glaring at Fang Anyan. Fang Anyan awkwardly lowered his head. This could not really be blamed on him. He had said so much, but his brother had only remembered this one sentence he had mentioned in passing. As for all the things he had analysed about Jun Yueyue being a big liar, his brother had not taken a single word to heart.

Jun Yueyue could not describe what she felt. She now somewhat understood why Fang Anyu had been so diligent in bed these days, and why he never wore protection, insisting on making her all sticky.

So he wanted to get her pregnant…

If she got pregnant, they would not divorce. That was how he understood it.

Jun Yueyue scratched her head and promised:

Don’t overthink it. If I say I won’t divorce you, then I definitely won’t. If I divorce you, I’m a puppy.

In the end, Jun Yueyue repeatedly guaranteed it and even coaxed him:

Maybe I already have one now. This kind of thing only shows after about a month. These days, you didn’t wear a raincoat, right?

The conversation between the two of them gradually headed toward eighteen-plus territory. Fang Anyan could not conveniently read it, so he turned his head and looked elsewhere. He saw those sneaky men by the staircase and guessed who they were. His expression darkened.

Jun Yueyue coaxed him for a long while before finally persuading Fang Anyu to let go of her. However, he insisted that Jun Yueyue give him a time limit. Jun Yueyue estimated the time and helplessly promised:

Within five days. I’ll definitely be back!

Only then did Fang Anyu leave the hospital with Fang Anyan. Jun Yueyue escorted him into the car, messaging him to pay attention to his hand, and promised to video call him every night. Only then, under Fang Anyu’s reluctant gaze as he pressed against the glass, did she finally send him away.

After Fang Anyu left, Jun Yueyue’s expression darkened. This time, Jun Yueyue was truly angry. She was not someone with much of a bottom line to begin with. If pushed too far, she definitely would not be polite with Old Master Jun.

She got into the car back to Xiude Town and forced the men inside to take turns driving. They did not stop along the way. A journey that should have taken more than a day was forcibly killed through in one night. She had promised Fang Anyu she would definitely return within five days. This time, she could not break her word.

The next morning, Jun Yueyue appeared at the Jun residence. Old Master Jun was sitting in the living room drinking tea. Seeing Jun Yueyue enter, his expression showed some surprise.

Jun Yueyue walked straight to him, took a teacup, poured herself a large cup, gulped it down, then set the cup on the table and said, “Someone almost died. Did you know that? How come I never knew our family was involved with gangs? If the Fang family’s eldest young master had really been dragged to death on the road, would that piece of land in your hands be enough to compensate for his life?”

Of course Old Master Jun knew. He had indeed been a little frightened after the fact. But with Jun Yueyue questioning him so aggressively, of course he could not admit it. He only slammed his teacup onto the table and roared, “Is this how you talk to your grandfather?!”

“Then how should I say it?” Jun Yueyue laughed. “You’re my elder, you’ll live ten thousand years, and even though you almost dragged my husband to death on the road, I still have to say you did the right thing, is that it?”

“You!” Old Master Jun was indeed in the wrong in this matter, but he was like a dead duck with not only a hard mouth, but also a hard neck. After a moment of silence, he said, “Your husband? Didn’t you marry him to seduce Fang Anyan? Why aren’t you seducing him now? A fool is enough to blind you. You really are promising.”

Jun Yueyue leaned back on the sofa and crossed her legs. “So Grandfather knew. Yet you still agreed. Wasn’t it to bring Jun Yu and Fang Anyan together? Now I’ve withdrawn. Why are you still insisting on giving me the Jun family?”

“Yes, my judgment is bad. Isn’t that because you all raised me so well? I could only play with what my sister had left over. Now Fang Anyan can’t become my brother-in-law anymore. If he’s not my brother-in-law, what’s the point of seducing him? Of course a fool is more fun.”

Jun Yueyue was deliberately trying to anger Old Master Jun. Seeing him hold the back of his neck, she snorted. He had held it eight hundred times already. Have a stroke then.

“You’re deliberately trying to anger me to death, you evil creature!” Old Master Jun leaned against the sofa. Both of them were panting with anger. For a while, neither spoke.

If Jun Yueyue did not want the Jun family’s money, she could simply say harsh words and ignore Old Master Jun’s nonsense. If this had been when she had just transmigrated, if anyone dared treat her like this, then fuck the money. She could pat her butt and leave. What kind of days had she not lived through in the apocalypse? Having money was naturally wonderful, but without money, she could still eat her fill.

But now, that was not quite possible. She had thought carefully. The reason she had agreed to Jun Yu that she would return to the Jun family was due to many considerations. She really did need this money, because now she was not alone. She had Fang Anyu.

What a precious person he was. Jun Yueyue had noticed that everything he used, some of it even better than Fang Anyan’s, was expensive. Although he usually did not need any costly medicine, she had searched idly before. That stack of seemingly simple white socks in Fang Anyu’s cabinet, bearing only one logo, cost one or two thousand per pair at the counter… If she really did not take the Jun family’s money, the little money in her card absolutely would not support Fang Anyu for long.

Of course, she and Fang Anyu were married, so she could simply be a daughter-in-law and stay in the Fang family. But look at how thoroughly the original body had acted before. She had sent the Fang parents abroad for travel, and they had not returned yet. If she lost the Jun family as backing and had no money, Fang Anyu would certainly treat her the same as always. But if she really wanted to be a daughter-in-law in a wealthy family, she would probably be suffocated by their cold looks in just a few days.

First, she could not endure that kind of frustration. Second, the Fang family was currently on the verge of collapse. If it really fell, she would fall with it, and her situation would only be worse.

For example, she could also take Fang Anyu and run far away. Fang Anyu would not say he was wronged or complain of discomfort. Even if he did not have enough to eat, he would not make a sound. He could live any kind of life.

But Jun Yueyue could not do that. She could not rely on others to live just because she was with Fang Anyu, and she especially could not let such a precious person fall from a swan into a big white goose because he was with her.

She had spent a long time mixing with men in the apocalypse, so her thinking was different from that of normal women. In her mind, since she had taken Fang Anyu, and he was so weak with almost no ability to survive independently, she had to support him. Not only support him, but support him even more preciously than before, not letting others laugh at him, and certainly not letting even a speck of dust stain his swan feathers.

That was why she had struggled for so long before agreeing to be with him. He was someone who could not be touched. Once touched, he cost more money and energy than taking drugs!

So after repeatedly struggling, she finally suppressed her anger temporarily. A momentary impulse could not solve the fundamental problem. Old Master Jun also would not suddenly change his view of Fang Anyu just because she truly vented her anger. The greatest possibility was that after learning she cared about Fang Anyu, he would use him to grind her down. The losses would outweigh the gains.

So Jun Yueyue said a few unpleasant things within a relatively normal rebellious range and did not continue fanning the flames. Didn’t he want her to become the head of the Jun family? Then she would do it. She had figured it out. After carefully recalling the plot, the story did mention that the Jun family had a professional manager team. The head of the family, in reality, only played the role of final decision-maker.

There was no need to truly exhaust herself doing everything personally. In the original story, female lead Jun Yu insisted on following projects after taking over the Jun family. That was her own matter. Jun Yueyue was not so confident that she could do better than professionals.

Of course, once she understood this, she could also understand why Old Master Jun’s test had not tested Jun Yu’s and her abilities, but rather who valued family affection more. For the person in charge of the Jun family, ability came second. As long as they did not become head of the family and stupidly hand the Jun family over to others, the main test was whether they cared for relatives and had humanity.

After Old Master Jun died, the Jun family would only have her and Jun Yu. If the sisters were united, then with such a large family business, even if they squandered it, it would be enough to squander for a lifetime.

Jun Yueyue had unexpectedly passed the test, which had not been within her expectations. But now Jun Yu had gone crazy in who knew what direction and wanted to undergo surgery to stand up. If the female lead of this book stood up, then she and the male lead really had no chance. Jun Yueyue had originally not wanted to participate in the main plot, afraid that moving the world’s direction would lead to a bad ending.

But now, she had no choice but to participate. She had already taken the male supporting character, and not just once. The plot had collapsed into this dog-like state, and she had not seen anything happen. If she cut away the great tree that was the Jun family, and she did not have the ability she had in the apocalypse, anyone could knead and flatten her. Yesterday’s incident was a deep lesson!

So now she had to get involved, and she had to scoop up the meat so she could better raise her precious rich flower and let him bloom forever.

After a hundred turns and a thousand twists, Jun Yueyue turned anger into motivation. After a moment of silence, she took the initiative to speak. “Yu’er called me that day. When did she leave? Is that surgery really safe? Is the team you hired reliable?”

Family affection was Old Master Jun’s weak point. Especially since his heart had always leaned toward Jun Yu. No matter how much Jun Yueyue’s earlier words had angered him until his head spun, this question hit his vital point. A person who cried got milk. Since Jun Yu had been unable to move easily from childhood, she was what he could not let go of most, and also his greatest heart knot.

Jun Yueyue’s concerned expression was not fake either. After all, Jun Yu was the female lead. Her previous protection had also been sincere. From a certain angle, she was indeed more reliable than Jun Yu in this respect.

Sure enough, the moment Jun Yueyue took the initiative to ask about Jun Yu, Old Master Jun’s expression instantly relaxed. But because Jun Yueyue had poked his pride too hard earlier, his expression could not fully soften yet. He snorted and said irritably, “You still care about your sister? I thought you only cared about that fool from the Fang family.”

Jun Yueyue looked at the changes in his expression and thought, *You’re the fool*, but she endured and said nothing. After a moment, Old Master Jun also softened his tone and said, “She left last night. The people I hired are all professionals, far more reliable than you.”

Jun Yueyue took a deep breath, then slowly exhaled, calming her irritable mood before saying, “Then why are you in such a hurry to call me back? The family matters should wait until Yu’er comes back. What if she really can stand up?”

If she used Jun Yu’s surgery to take advantage of the gap, that would go against what Old Master Jun valued. Jun Yueyue had not slept for several hours on the road and had thoroughly grasped Old Master Jun’s thoughts. Every sentence struck his weak spot. He was old, and what he feared most was the two sisters drifting apart and scheming against each other. Now, seeing both of them consider each other was more comforting than any pretty words Jun Yueyue could have said.

Old Master Jun sat up straight and poured tea again. He also poured Jun Yueyue a cup while he was at it, glaring at her. “Since you’re back, meet some of my old friends with me these next few days. Also, that piece of land needs to have a plan drawn up within this year. There may be movement from above.”

Jun Yueyue nodded solemnly, picked up her teacup, and took a sip. Once her spirit relaxed, she could not help yawning.

Seeing her like this, Old Master Jun snorted and said, “Go sleep. If you weren’t coming back, then fine, but since you came back, why rush like a monkey? You didn’t rest all night, did you?”

Jun Yueyue really was sleepy. She stood up, but did not immediately become obedient. She hummed and muttered, “Wasn’t I thinking Yu’er hadn’t left yet? If I’d known, I wouldn’t have come back.”

After quickly saying that, she rapidly ran upstairs. Old Master Jun turned back and glared angrily. Seeing her disappear like smoke, the little anger left in his heart completely dissipated. After Jun Yueyue went upstairs, he even showed a small smile.

This granddaughter had been ignorant since childhood, pretending to comply while acting against him. Now she had finally grown up and knew to feel sorry for her younger sister. Even if her temper was still not very good, at least because of age, she now understood inside from outside and knew to care for family.

Her rebellious phase had been a little long, but she was not rotten wood that could not be carved.

Of course, Old Master Jun could not possibly know that his good granddaughter’s core had already been changed. As for things like prodigal sons turning back, whether in reality or in novels, one should not expect too much. Who knew whether a sudden change did not mean the other person had simply been replaced?

After Jun Yueyue went upstairs, she quickly got into the bathroom to shower. On the way back, the car had been full of men. They had taken turns driving overnight and each of them smoked, leaving behind an unpleasant smell.

After quickly washing up, Jun Yueyue had a towel wrapped over her hair. After lying down on the bed, she did not rush to sleep. Instead, she first sent Fang Anyu a message.

Yu Beauty, I miss you.

After Jun Yueyue sent it, she hugged the phone and closed her eyes, too lazy to even dry her hair. At home, Fang Anyu always dried it for her. Sometimes, while he dried it, she could even sleep for a while. In just a few days, she had been spoiled into a lazy habit.

But just after her message was sent, she felt the phone on her chest buzz twice. She picked it up and immediately smiled. Fang Anyu replied instantly:

I miss you too.

Then a video call popped up. Jun Yueyue answered, and the screen was filled with half of Fang Anyu’s enlarged face. Morning sunlight spilled through the window onto him, illuminating his light-coloured hair and leaving a patch of fine shadow on the side of his face.

Jun Yueyue made the video into a small window and continued sending him a message:

How did you reply so quickly?

The key thing was that Fang Anyu could not hear. Unless he had been holding his phone the whole time.

Fang Anyu stared at the screen and fiddled for a while, a little anxious. He had seen the message, but did not know how to reply. Jun Yueyue smiled. She had not taught him what to do in this situation, and seeing him anxious made her want to laugh.

But very soon, her smile froze, because she saw a bare arm reach out from behind Fang Anyu and swiftly snatch the phone from his hand—

Fuck!

What was going on?

Caught in the act… Who dared sleep with her man while she was not home?!
