So Damn Scheming!
After Jun Yueyue asked that question, she was nervous to death.
Recently, she had been busy dealing with the Jun family, preparing to welcome the apocalypse, and had also confirmed that there was no other version of herself in this world. She was now certain that she had been reborn before the apocalypse into the body of the vicious supporting female character, Jun Yue.
But she had been so busy with this and that that she had overlooked one extremely important and fatal matter.
That was, after the apocalypse arrived, she would mutate.
She would become a King Kong Barbie who could knock down five strong men with one punch, and when she ran, the ground would practically tremble!
The moment Jun Yueyue thought of this, she suddenly collapsed emotionally.
She did not need to be especially beautiful. Fang Anyu was so easy to deceive. Even if she were a little ugly, he would not dislike her.
But she could not become a King Kong whose arm was thicker than his waist. Fang Anyu would definitely be scared of her!
Jun Yueyue was practically going crazy.
Their sizes would not even match anymore. Would Fang Anyu still like her?
He would not. Ahhhhh—
Jun Yueyue stared at her phone, nervously waiting for Fang Anyu’s reply.
Strangely, he usually replied quite quickly, but this time, Jun Yueyue, who felt every second stretch into a year, waited for several whole minutes.
Holding the phone, Jun Yueyue felt as if she had already aged until her hair turned white. She was miserable, pitiful, and on the verge of bursting into tears before Fang Anyu finally replied:
—What King Kong? Like the one in the movies? Furry?
Jun Yueyue clutched her phone and kicked her legs on the bed, replying tearfully:
—Not that big, but three or four… times bigger than you. And no fur.
After sending it, Jun Yueyue bit the corner of the blanket.
She felt that not having fur somehow made it even uglier…
Fang Anyu was showering. When he heard the vibration, he did not reply immediately. Only after washing his hair and wiping his hands did he reply:
—I would still like you. No matter what you become.
Jun Yueyue had waited until the seas dried up and the rocks crumbled, imagining all sorts of things. Was he scared of her? Was he disgusted by how she described herself? Did he not like bald monsters? And so on and so on, until her head was about to explode.
The instant she saw Fang Anyu’s reply, Jun Yueyue fell silent for a moment.
Then, with real, genuine emotion, she cried.
This was love.
Even if she turned into that dog-like state, Fang Anyu would still like her.
The fear Jun Yueyue had always felt toward the approaching apocalypse dissipated in that instant.
So what if she had to face a world where people ate people, where tomorrow was never guaranteed? She was no longer alone.
So what if she mutated? Fang Anyu still liked her.
Even if their sizes did not match, it did not matter. She was willing to carry Fang Anyu on her shoulder.
Besides, when the apocalypse came, apart from her, Fang Anyu would have no one else.
The apocalypse was not like the real world. It was truly a lawless world where humanity was exposed in its rawest form. Even if Fang Anyu did not like her, he was deaf, mute, and simple. Bringing him along would be a burden. Other than her, no one would want him.
As Jun Yueyue kept thinking, her thoughts began to twist.
Because of this expectation, her heart gradually calmed down.
That was right.
No one would fight her for him…
After calming down, Jun Yueyue lay on the bed and finally replied to Fang Anyu, solemnly making a promise:
—I love you. No matter what the world becomes, I will take good care of you in the future.
She would not let him suffer even the tiniest bit of grievance during the apocalypse.
Although Jun Yueyue was a low-level mutant, she had been reborn. In any case, she had survived in the apocalypse for five years. She had experience in many things. She would definitely be able to take very good care of Fang Anyu.
Fang Anyu came out wearing a bathrobe. When he saw Jun Yueyue’s reply, he froze at the bathroom door.
For a long while, he did not take even a single step. His eyes remained fixed on the three words “I love you” on the screen. Only belatedly did his heart begin to pound like thunder.
This was the first time she had said these three words to him.
The hand Fang Anyu used to hold the phone trembled a little.
They had both said they liked each other, but Fang Anyu had read in books that liking and loving were different.
He had long wanted to tell Jun Yueyue that he loved her.
But he was too afraid.
Even now, he still felt inferior because of his own incompleteness and Jun Yueyue’s beauty. Whether it was between the two of them, or between the Fang family and the Jun family, the gap was enormous.
Fang Anyu actually did not really want Jun Yueyue to become the person in power of the Jun family.
He was afraid.
He knew how many helpless things his younger brother had faced after taking over the Fang family, how many of his own hobbies he had given up.
He was afraid that after Jun Yueyue took over the Jun family, she would also give up many things she liked because of all kinds of unavoidable circumstances.
Including him.
Fang Anyu had thought a lot, but he had never tried to stop Jun Yueyue.
Whatever she wanted, she should not change her mind because of him. From beginning to end, all he asked for was to be by her side. He had never said anything like love, because he did not want to pressure her.
Books said that love was responsibility, sacrifice, a bond accompanied by reality and choices.
That was why Fang Anyu had never dared touch those three words.
He did not want to become Jun Yueyue’s responsibility and bond.
But she actually said she loved him.
Fang Anyu slowly bit his lip, and his eyes reddened.
He remembered that perhaps when he was very, very young, his mother had once told him she loved him. But later, there was no more.
His mother always looked at him and sighed. Even when she smiled, she would often stop smiling midway.
When her lips moved, Fang Anyu truly wanted to hear her speak.
But no matter how hard he tried to listen, his world was always dead silent.
After that, no one ever told him they loved him again.
Fang Anyu had read many, many books. He knew that the way he was counted as disabled, incomplete. Everyone liked outstanding, complete people. There was nothing wrong with that. It was human nature. Even he was not surprised by it.
But he had never imagined that someone would love him.
Love him like this.
So when Fang Anyan was standing by the window on the phone, he had been standing there for a while when, without warning, a torrential downpour suddenly started outside.
He hung up the phone. When he turned around, he saw his older brother lowering his head and looking at his phone, crying.
In that instant, some indescribable connection suddenly made his heart jump.
But it was only for a split second. Fang Anyan quickly walked toward Fang Anyu.
He leaned over aggressively to look at the messages on Fang Anyu’s phone. He thought Jun Yueyue had said something bad again and made his brother cry.
But when he leaned over, the screen was black.
There were only a few of Fang Anyu’s tears spread out on it.
Fang Anyan reached out to press the screen, but Fang Anyu dodged.
Fang Anyan: …
His brother had changed!
After Fang Anyu’s emotions were interrupted by him, he put away the phone, walked to the bed, lay down, and curled up on one side of the bed.
He lit the phone screen again and looked at the message Jun Yueyue had just sent. Slowly, the corners of his lips curved upward.
After Fang Anyan finished showering, he came out and dried his hair. He did not see any water marks on the glass, nor did he hear the sound of rain.
He opened the window and looked outside…
The sky was full of stars, as if it had been washed clean. They were especially bright, flickering so dazzlingly that they hurt the eyes.
“The weather has been way too unpredictable recently…”
Fang Anyan muttered as he closed the window. He walked to the bed, lifted the blanket, and slept on the other side of Fang Anyu.
Jun Yueyue was video-calling Fang Anyu. When she saw the blanket behind Fang Anyu being lifted, she suddenly sat up from her bed in shock and shouted at the screen, “That little dog is sleeping with my man again!”
Fang Anyu could not hear the sound. He could only see Jun Yueyue cutely pouting. He also pursed his lips a little and kissed in the direction of the screen.
But Fang Anyan, who had just lain down, heard it. He sprang upright and said faintly from behind Fang Anyu, “My brother and I slept together every single day before I went to university.”
Jun Yueyue was instantly so angry that smoke practically came out of all seven orifices.
She had not expected that this grandson Fang Anyan would actually dare to answer back!
Fang Anyu knew nothing. Seeing Jun Yueyue pouting unhappily, he thought she was teasing him again and cooperatively curved his lips. He poked the screen with his finger, touching the spot above Jun Yueyue’s head, as if comforting her.
After Fang Anyan said that, he lifted the blanket and lay back down.
What he said was indeed true.
But the reason he had lived together with Fang Anyu was because for a very long time, Fang Anyu would have nightmares when he was alone at night. He could not even express his fear. After a nightmare, he would hide in some corner and stare wide-eyed until dawn.
But if there was someone beside him, then even if Fang Anyu had a nightmare and sat up, as long as Fang Anyan touched him, he could lie back down peacefully.
That period of companionship was also why Fang Anyu began to distance himself even from Mother Fang, yet became especially close to Fang Anyan.
Only, when Fang Anyu grew a little older, he stopped having nightmares. Fang Anyan also went to university, so Fang Anyu returned to sleeping alone.
Later, although Fang Anyan cared a lot about Fang Anyu, he was juggling schoolwork and the company. He was so busy that his feet barely touched the ground and had no longer had that much energy to look after Fang Anyu.
Fang Anyan lay on the bed and watched Fang Anyu video-call Jun Yueyue.
Even now, he still did not believe that Jun Yueyue truly liked his brother.
But seeing his brother’s shoulders tremble slightly because Jun Yueyue had teased him into laughing, Fang Anyan, for the first time, hoped that Jun Yueyue’s words were true.
If she could fill the emptiness and regrets in his brother’s heart, accompany him through the rest of his life, and treat his brother well, then Fang Anyan would absolutely call her sister-in-law properly for the rest of his life.
Jun Yueyue was so angry at Fang Anyan that she could not sleep.
But Fang Anyu’s gentle gaze kept watching her through the screen, and very soon, it soothed her agitation.
Jun Yueyue sent a message:
—I really want to sleep with you.
Fang Anyu’s body temperature was especially comfortable to hug. He was not overly hot, nor was he cold. It was the kind of body temperature that, even in summer, would not make one sweat just from clinging to him.
On a slightly chilly night after the rain like this, if she could hold him bare-skinned, how comfortable would that be?
When Fang Anyu saw Jun Yueyue’s message, he smiled again with curved eyes.
His eyes were very large, and his double eyelids were also deep. But when he smiled, they narrowed into crescents. Very beautiful.
The two of them video-called until very late.
So late that when Fang Anyan got up in the middle of the night to pee, he saw that his brother had already fallen asleep holding the phone. On the other side of the video, Jun Yueyue was still blinking through the screen.
Fang Anyan decisively took the phone. It was charging and still switched on, burning hot. This was very dangerous.
Jun Yueyue had insomnia and had originally been admiring Sleeping Beauty.
But the moment she saw the person in the video change, she immediately shouted, “What are you doing!”
Fang Anyan frowned. “My brother fell asleep. Hang up.”
“I know he fell asleep!”
That was why she had been admiring Sleeping Beauty.
But Jun Yueyue’s eyes turned, and she said, “Why aren’t you asleep? Getting up to pee again in the middle of the night? Your kidneys really aren’t good.”
Fang Anyan was so angry that Jun Yueyue woke him right up.
He was just about to refute her, but Jun Yueyue hung up the call.
He tossed the phone back by the bed and got into bed angrily. But after tossing and turning, he could not sleep.
Sometimes he did get up at night…
Were his kidneys really bad?
Should he book an appointment with a specialist after returning to Qiuhai City?
Fang Anyan shrank his head under the blanket, panicked.
Today, he had not lasted very long either. Only half an hour or so. Was that abnormal?
Had that desperado ruined him…
After Jun Yueyue hung up the video call, she fell asleep very quickly.
But Fang Anyan did not sleep well all night and woke up the next morning without energy.
The next day, he drove back to Qiuhai City. Because he really had no energy, halfway through, he hired a driver and lay in the back seat to catch up on sleep.
Fang Anyu had been in constant contact with Jun Yueyue. Since morning, the two of them had not stopped messaging. The phone ran out of battery again, so the car charger stayed plugged in the whole time.
Fang Anyan woke twice, and Fang Anyu was still poking at the phone.
Now that the two of them had a way to contact each other, things were no longer as bitter as before.
After returning home, Fang Anyu also protected the phone especially well, just as he had promised. He did not let Mother Fang discover it.
In the blink of an eye, it was the middle of the month. Jun Yu would be returning in the next couple of days. Jun Yueyue returned to Qiuhai City in advance, following Old Master Jun’s instructions to prepare.
The house had been found near the rehabilitation centre.
Normally speaking, staying directly in the rehabilitation centre would be enough, and it would also be convenient for recovery. But Old Master Jun was afraid Jun Yu would not be used to living there, so he specially arranged a flat and had it furnished.
There was a professional family doctor and a nanny. It was not particularly luxurious, but everything was prepared for a patient’s recovery, including various medical devices.
Old Master Jun had instructed Jun Yueyue to come over and prepare properly. But after she walked through every room in the house, she sincerely felt that adding anything else would be unnecessary.
That made things easier.
Jun Yueyue found a room and settled herself in, then waited for Jun Yu to return.
Li Li still had some matters unfinished in Pingchuan. Jun Yueyue stayed at home, feeling restless. She contacted Jun Yu, estimated the time she would return, then, unable to bear it anymore, sent Fang Anyu a message.
—Let’s secretly go on a date.
Fang Anyu quickly replied:
—Where? But I can’t get out.
Jun Yueyue replied:
—Have your brother bring you out. I’ll send you the address. Come to my place.
Fang Anyu hesitated.
He did not really want to trouble Fang Anyan. He was already used to “not causing trouble.”
In the end, Jun Yueyue called Fang Anyan herself.
Fang Anyan rejected her call several times before finally answering. He lowered his voice and snapped, “What are you doing! I’m busy in a meeting!”
As soon as Fang Anyan finished speaking, Jun Yueyue heard a middle-aged man’s voice from the other side.
“Judging from the rectal examination and scan results, there’s nothing seriously wrong. It’s just a little seminal vesiculitis, and the prostate is slightly enlarged. It’s fine. We can prescribe some IV medication and oral medicine—beep, beep, beep.”
Jun Yueyue had only heard half of it when the call suddenly ended.
Fang Anyan’s face was flushed crimson. But under the doctor’s puzzled gaze, he still took a deep breath and stammered, “Will… will it affect sexual function?”
“Ah.” The doctor nodded.
Fang Anyan was so frightened his pulse nearly disappeared before the doctor shook his head again.
“It’s just a small inflammation. Take some medicine and get an IV drip and it’ll be fine. It won’t affect anything. But during the IV treatment period, sexual activity is prohibited.”
Fang Anyan let out a deep breath.
As long as it did not affect that kind of life, then it was fine.
If it really was affected, he was afraid his time would be too short, and that desperado would not be satisfied and might shoot him dead.
Speaking of which, she was currently hired for a mission and probably would not return in the short term.
Fang Anyan pulled his mask up higher. Following the doctor’s instructions, he went to collect his medicine, arranged the time to come in for his IV drip, and only then breathed a sigh of relief and walked toward his car.
The moment he got into the car, the phone rang again.
Fang Anyan answered, and Jun Yueyue’s voice came through.
“You went to see a male health doctor? That’s right. If you’re sick, you need to treat it. The earlier you treat it, the sooner you recover.”
Fang Anyan’s face behind the mask burned bright red. He was about to erupt, but Jun Yueyue continued, “I’m telling you, if you don’t send your brother to 48 Garden Street, Unit 5, Room 303 before noon today, I’ll go to your company and publicise the fact that you went to see a male health doctor.”
After saying that, Jun Yueyue quickly hung up and sent Fang Anyu a message:
—Get ready quickly. Your brother will come back to pick you up soon!
Fang Anyu asked her what happened.
Jun Yueyue was still conscientious enough not to mention that his brother had problems with his prostate and his “descendant pouch.” She only vaguely said that she had begged Fang Anyan.
Fang Anyan was so angry that his hands trembled as he drove.
But he cared about face, and Jun Yueyue was a madwoman. He truly had no confidence in what she might do. So he had no choice but to surrender in humiliation, return home, and lie that the company was not busy today, so he would take Fang Anyu out to buy some things.
Mother Fang and Father Fang trusted Fang Anyan very much.
Although they did not think Fang Anyu lacked anything that required going out to buy, since Fang Anyan had made the decision, neither of them objected.
Fang Anyu started smiling the moment they went out.
Fang Anyan had a pile of company matters to deal with. He had only squeezed out time in the morning to see the doctor and had postponed a meeting to come out.
But seeing his brother so happy, the headache Jun Yueyue had angered into him improved a little.
His brother really did like that crazy woman.
Fang Anyan drove to the bottom of Building 48 on Garden Street. Jun Yueyue was already waiting by the entrance. Seeing Fang Anyu get out of the car, she quickly waved at him.
Fang Anyu closed the car door and jogged over.
When he reached Jun Yueyue, he pulled her into his arms. The two had even video-called that morning, yet they still acted as if they had not seen each other in a very long time. They were intimate for quite a while before finally holding hands and entering the building together.
After going upstairs, Jun Yueyue brought Fang Anyu to the dining table in the house.
On the table was food she had asked the servants to make that morning. Everything was Fang Anyu’s favourite. After it was prepared, she had made the decision on her own and given the servants time off.
Now the food was a little cold, so Jun Yueyue reheated it. Then the two of them started eating.
Fang Anyu ate a lot.
For some reason, the sun outside today was so glaring it almost stabbed the eyes. Jun Yueyue pulled the curtains partly closed. Seeing that Fang Anyu had eaten almost enough, she stopped him.
“Don’t eat anymore.”
Jun Yueyue looked at him as she spoke, briefly and slowly. In this kind of situation, it was easy to understand.
Fang Anyu nodded and obediently put down his chopsticks.
Jun Yueyue had originally planned to go out on a date with Fang Anyu. But going out would waste a lot of time, and there would be too many people, making it impossible to be close however they wanted.
Since Jun Yu was still on the way back, they might as well stay home together for the day. That would be much happier.
The two of them did not really do much.
They simply carefully studied the few pots of flowers that had already been placed in the house when Jun Yueyue arrived. Fang Anyu liked such things and looked at them carefully. Jun Yueyue stood behind him, holding his waist, following him as he bent over or straightened up, clinging to him the whole time.
She could never hug him enough.
After they finished looking, Jun Yueyue found a movie. It was disaster-themed. Jun Yueyue was quietly doing psychological preparation for Fang Anyu without him realising.
When the male lead had a shower scene, he was a foreigner with exaggerated, knotting muscles. The veins on his arms also protruded when he used force.
Jun Yueyue suddenly pointed at the man and used voice-to-text for Fang Anyu to read:
—Like this. Even one size bigger than this. If I became like this, would you still love me?
Fang Anyu seemed not to understand. After reacting for a while, he looked at the pure manly man on the screen. His expression went blank for a moment, and his reply slowed down slightly.
Jun Yueyue almost collapsed.
She angrily typed:
—You said it! That day, you said that no matter what I became, you would still like me! You lied! You hesitated just now! Do you not like me like that?!
Fang Anyu looked at the words Jun Yueyue typed. So many exclamation marks proved that she was indeed very worked up.
But…
He looked again at the male lead currently beating up mutated zombies on the screen, and a trace of distaste appeared on his face for an instant.
Jun Yueyue immediately went mad. She kicked her legs on the sofa, fake crying and refusing to let Fang Anyu come close.
Fang Anyu stood beside the sofa, somewhat at a loss, but the expression on his face carried an irrepressible smile.
In the end, Jun Yueyue kicked until she was tired. With what she believed was a heartbroken expression, she sent Fang Anyu a message:
—Let’s break up. I’m no longer your little baby.
Fang Anyu instantly panicked.
He quickly grabbed Jun Yueyue’s hand, pulled her into his arms, hugged her tightly, and kissed her sweaty cheek.
He replied:
—I like you. As long as it’s you, even if you became a man, I… I would still like you.
Heaven knew Fang Anyu had indeed struggled internally for a moment.
After all, Jun Yueyue’s description that night and actually seeing a muscular man with bulging muscles on TV today were two different things.
When Jun Yueyue saw Fang Anyu’s reply, the sorrowful expression on her face froze.
She felt that there seemed to be some discrepancy between what she and Fang Anyu were talking about.
—Not a man. A woman with that kind of body.
After Jun Yueyue explained, she felt even worse.
That kind of body was normal on a man, but on a woman, it really burned the eyes.
However, after Fang Anyu read it, he visibly let out a sigh of relief.
Clearly, he had been frightened by Jun Yueyue saying she might become a man. He pursed his lips and smiled, then replied very quickly this time:
—I would like you whether you were male or female. I would like you even if you became like that. But… why are you making this kind of assumption?
The last time Jun Yueyue told him she came from the apocalypse, she had said many things, but she had not said that she had been a King Kong Barbie during the apocalypse.
After all, even she herself found that appearance hard to look at.
For a moment, Jun Yueyue wanted to tell Fang Anyu everything.
What the world that was about to arrive would look like. How in the next few months, the seasons would stop alternating. How today’s overly brilliant sun was, in fact, already abnormal.
The temperature had already begun silently rising. There were less than three and a half months until the apocalypse arrived. This blazing sun would continue for several days. Plants would begin to grow wildly on a large scale. After that would come other strange phenomena.
Everything was moving in an orderly manner toward a foreseeable direction.
But she carried such a massive matter in her heart and could not tell anyone.
No one would believe her.
Before the apocalypse arrived in the previous world, it was not as if no one had sounded the alarm. Someone had hoarsely spread warnings, telling everyone to stockpile supplies and strengthen their doors and windows. For a time, the internet had been in an uproar.
But in the end, the person leading it was arrested and sentenced.
Before the world truly became like that, saying such things would be fearmongering.
If she had no influence, the result would merely be mockery.
If she did have influence, she would be like that person before the apocalypse in her previous life. Perhaps even when the zombies broke out, she would still be trapped in prison.
Jun Yueyue reached out and hugged Fang Anyu.
After a brief struggle, she still decided not to tell him.
He was so timid. He was scared even of thunder. When he slept, he was used to curling up. When he was sad, he would only hide silently in a small room.
Whatever she said, Fang Anyu would believe.
No one had ever believed her like this without asking for a reason or caring about logic. She did not want Fang Anyu to panic with her.
She only needed to hide him in the base before the apocalypse arrived.
After hugging for a while, Jun Yueyue only replied to Fang Anyu:
—Nothing. I just wanted to test whether you really love me.
Fang Anyu smiled. Outside, the sunlight grew even more scorching.
He replied:
—I love you. I really, really love you.
If those words were spoken by a normal person, or by anyone other than Fang Anyu, they would be so cheesy they made one’s teeth ache.
But once these words passed through Fang Anyu’s hands, they did not feel melodramatic at all.
The sentence typed out little by little by those slender fingers of his somehow carried a miraculous power that made one’s nose sting.
Because as long as you looked into his eyes, you would never doubt the sincerity of that sentence.
Jun Yueyue inhaled, leaned into Fang Anyu’s arms, and rested against his shoulder like a little bird dependent on a person.
In her heart, she thought sorrowfully:
Fuck, there were not many days left where she could still act like a little bird depending on someone.
Very soon, if she leaned against Fang Anyu like this, it would be more like an ostrich burying its head.
The two of them leaned against each other and finished watching the movie.
At the end of the movie, the protagonist survived successfully, while all the supporting characters died in various tragic and heroic ways.
Jun Yueyue suddenly felt the same.
For her world, was it not also like this?
The protagonists stopped at the beautiful moment of being in love, and the book ended.
But the people unrelated to that book lived in a world like purgatory.
Jun Yueyue looked at the ending credits on the screen and moved her head. When she turned to the side, she saw Fang Anyu leaning back against the sofa with his head raised. His arm was still around her waist, and he had fallen asleep at some point.
His expression was peaceful and soft. His head tilted slightly to the side, and his curly hair covered a small half of his face, casting fragmented shadows over it.
Jun Yueyue looked at him up close and lightly tapped his Adam’s apple, which protruded because his head was tilted back.
Fang Anyu’s eyelashes trembled slightly, but he did not wake.
Last night, he had actually not slept well. He had video-called Jun Yueyue until very late. After that, he had a nightmare.
He had never told Jun Yueyue, but what he dreamed about was her.
She had become especially bad. She was cold to him like ice. She even hit him and… had someone else’s child.
Fang Anyu woke in shock in the middle of the night and did not dare sleep again.
His heart had been especially unsettled. It was not until Jun Yueyue asked him to come here today, and he held her in his arms, that he finally felt at ease.
Once he relaxed, he began to feel sleepy.
Jun Yueyue did not wake him. She only turned off the TV, closed the window, and switched on the air conditioning.
It was too hot outside. The temperature inside had risen a lot too.
When the room cooled down a little, Jun Yueyue was afraid Fang Anyu would catch a chill, so she took a blanket and covered him with it.
The blanket was large. She tugged part of it over herself too, then slowly rested her head on Fang Anyu’s lap and fiddled with his hand.
She was not sleepy at all.
Being with Fang Anyu, even if they did nothing like this, made Jun Yueyue feel peaceful.
She placed Fang Anyu’s hand over her face and slowly smiled.
Actually, the apocalypse did not seem that frightening.
She would do her best to protect Fang Anyu.
If she truly could not protect him… then she would die with him. Maybe once they opened their eyes, they could start over again.
Jun Yueyue swore she really was not sleepy.
But the warmth of Fang Anyu’s palm was like a powerful sleeping pill. Before she knew it, she fell asleep.
However, this sleep was not peaceful.
Jun Yueyue had a dream. In the dream, she was watching from the perspective of an observer as she crazily pursued Fang Anyan. After failing to obtain him, she began to hate him. She abandoned herself, tried to fight Jun Yu for the Jun family, and finally became pregnant after fooling around. No one acknowledged the child, and she ended up leaving the country peacefully.
In the dream, Jun Yueyue knew that this was all the plot.
But the feeling was too real.
Even the madness of not getting what she wanted and the heart-wrenching pain were so vivid that Jun Yueyue felt tightness in her chest.
But what Jun Yueyue found most unacceptable was that, in the dream, she kept abusing Fang Anyu.
She was cold to him. She humiliated him. She kissed others in front of him, stayed out all night, and even later abused him, refusing to let him come near her even by a single step.
Jun Yueyue could withstand the part about Fang Anyan.
But once it reached the parts involving Fang Anyu, she truly could not bear it.
She felt as if her entire heart had been twisted. It hurt so much she could barely breathe. The suffocating pain almost made it impossible for her to draw breath.
The emotion was so intense that when she opened her eyes and sat up in shock, she remained dazed for a long while.
How could she treat him like that…
Back then, when Jun Yueyue read the original book, she had only focused on the relationship between the male and female leads. She had not read the details carefully at all.
But many of the scenes in the dream just now were ones she had never seen in the book.
Jun Yueyue sat on the sofa, breathing violently.
Fang Anyu had already woken up and had been watching her the whole time. Seeing her like this, he silently hugged her from behind, rested his head against the side of her face, and rubbed gently. His warm lips pressed softly against her cheek.
Only then did Jun Yueyue come back to herself. The intense, chaotic emotions from the dream slowly dissipated.
Jun Yueyue turned and hugged Fang Anyu’s neck, whimpering and rubbing against the hollow of his shoulder.
Although Fang Anyu could not hear the puppy-like sounds she made, he could feel her emotions. He tilted his head slightly, indulging her coquettishness, and gently patted her…
Butt.
Jun Yueyue was half-kneeling on the sofa while turning to hug him. This posture already looked somewhat like she was sticking her backside out.
After Fang Anyu patted her a few times, she could not even keep feeling sad anymore. She bit his shoulder, picked up the phone, and used voice input:
—You’re being a pervert!
Fang Anyu sat on the sofa and tilted his head to look at Jun Yueyue’s message.
His posture was upright, his eyes clear, and his expression very normal. He did not deliberately pretend to be innocent, but there was not the slightest trace of hooligan behaviour on him.
He was too clean.
Looking at him like this, Jun Yueyue was almost starting to suspect that she had misunderstood.
Then Fang Anyu took the phone, used those clean fingers to poke out a sentence, and handed it to Jun Yueyue.
After Jun Yueyue read it, she froze.
Then she jumped straight up from the sofa.
—That posture you were in just now is especially suitable from behind. There was one time like that, and afterward, you said it felt very deep.
Even after saying something like this, Fang Anyu still looked like a spotless white lotus, clean and untouched by mud.
But Jun Yueyue was suddenly bombarded by him launching an aircraft carrier. Her face turned bright red. Standing barefoot beside the sofa, she pointed at Fang Anyu several times but could not bear to scold him.
Jun Yueyue had always felt that in this relationship, she held the dominant position.
In her previous life, she had spent a long time mixing with men, so she did not find this kind of relationship strange. Instead, she liked the sense of control.
But at this moment, she suddenly felt that she had been completely grasped by him.
Fang Anyu had only said one sentence like that, yet her heart was already pounding in alarm.
Jun Yueyue imagined it. If Fang Anyu really asked her to bend over like that…
Fuck. She definitely would not be able to resist. She would agree!
She remembered the last time in that kind of situation. She had not been able to hold back because of Fang Anyu’s gloomy expression and ended up doing “squats” for more than half an hour.
This life…
It was impossible to live like this!
Jun Yueyue bit her lip and met Fang Anyu’s clear gaze. She took a deep breath and prepared to think of a way to regain some ground.
If this kept going, how could she still—
Fang Anyu reached his hand out to her.
Fuck. He wanted a hug.
Jun Yueyue’s brain struggled fiercely, but her body disobediently threw itself into Fang Anyu’s arms.
It was over.
She felt she could still struggle a little…
Fang Anyu touched his lips to hers.
Forget it. No more struggling.
Jun Yueyue and Fang Anyu clung to each other for another while.
Before they realised it, the sky had darkened. Fang Anyan called Jun Yueyue, urging her. He was off work and needed to take Fang Anyu home.
Jun Yueyue was reluctant, but if Fang Anyu did not go back, they would not be able to fool Mother Fang and Father Fang.
Going back was not a big deal either. Jun Yu would still take several days before arriving here. Over the next few days, she could keep threatening Fang Anyan into bringing Fang Anyu over.
But before leaving, Jun Yueyue and Fang Anyu cooked a pot of noodles. The two of them ate until they were full before reluctantly parting under Fang Anyan’s urging.
That night, they still video-called until late.
The next day, Jun Yueyue threatened Fang Anyan again and made him bring Fang Anyu over.
Like this, three days passed. The two of them spent all their time together. Simply eating something, taking an afternoon nap, watching a movie—it was all very happy…
Oh, today at noon, Jun Yueyue failed to withstand Fang Anyu’s seduction and ended up rolling around with him in the large wardrobe in her room for more than an hour.
Yes.
Seduction.
If Jun Yueyue had still been suspicious the first two times, this time, she was completely certain.
Fang Anyu had seduced her.
He actually had the cunning to seduce someone.
It was still that same posture. Leaning there, looking at her somewhat dazedly, his Adam’s apple moving, then crooking his finger.
If you rejected him, he would look as if he were enduring it.
But in reality, it was playing hard to get.
So damn scheming!
Jun Yueyue simply could not withstand his chain of seductions and was tricked by him into the wardrobe.
He said that when he was little, whenever he was afraid, he would hide in the wardrobe. But after he grew up, the wardrobe became too small, and he could no longer hide inside.
Listen. How pitiful.
Jun Yueyue thought about it and figured her wardrobe was quite big, so she pulled Fang Anyu over to take a look…
And the result?
That “very deep” thing Fang Anyu had mentioned yesterday was thoroughly put into practice today.
Jun Yueyue’s knees were red from kneeling. After coming out of the wardrobe, her knees hurt when she walked.
She was a little angry.
Not exactly angry. It was hard to say where the stuffy feeling came from. She felt angry because she seemed to have been tricked. But if she said she was truly angry, she had willingly been seduced just now.
In short, it was very conflicted.
Fang Anyu followed behind Jun Yueyue as they came out. After the two of them washed up, he once again looked like an untouched white lotus standing apart from the world. There was absolutely no trace of the ruthless way he had held her chin in the wardrobe earlier to stop her from crawling away.
Jun Yueyue looked at his clear gaze, his damp hair, and the way he sat on the sofa looking at her.
She felt her knees hurt even more.
However, after she sat down, Fang Anyu typed on his phone and showed it to her:
—Do you have medicine? I’ll rub your knees for you.
Jun Yueyue angrily threw the towel onto his face and snatched the phone.
—So you do know my knees are about to bruise! Bastard!
Fang Anyu caught the towel, took the phone, and replied:
—I’m sorry. You were too charming just now. I lost control. I won’t do that again.
Those words had the flavour of a scumbag.
But Fang Anyu’s face gave him too much of an advantage. It was simply impossible to connect him with the word scumbag.
Jun Yueyue was somehow fooled by his sentence, “You were too charming.” She snorted and glared at him.
Fang Anyu paused. Seeing that she was not truly angry, he leaned over, placed the towel on her head, and gently dried her hair.
Jun Yueyue leaned back into his arms again.
Actually, she somewhat liked Fang Anyu’s loss of control.
That made it seem like he truly desired her very much, giving her an indescribable and shameful sense of satisfaction.
One of them moved gently, drying her hair. The other lowered her head slightly. The atmosphere was so good it could not be better.
Jun Yueyue narrowed her eyes, enjoying it, when suddenly the door lock turned.
Click.
The sound was not loud.
But Jun Yueyue suddenly looked sharply toward the door—
