ATNMDT Chapter 80

Mu Wanwan finally managed to struggle free and tried to turn around to see a certain dragon’s expression.

But whether Mr. Dragon was nervous or something else, he held her so tightly that she could not move despite several attempts.

She felt a little exhausted. Her ears gradually turned pink.

“My Lord, let go of me…”

The moment she spoke, her voice ringing through the quiet room, all the blood in Mr. Dragon’s body seemed to freeze.

The suggestive thoughts that had only just arisen within him were instantly replaced by worry.

He instinctively released the arms and legs wrapped around Mu Wanwan and remained frozen in place, looking completely helpless.

Mu Wanwan seized the opportunity to turn around and meet his eyes.

She had never seen Mr. Dragon wearing such an expression before.

Perhaps because his curse markings had faded considerably, his emotions were now easier to detect. The curve of his lips was slightly lower than usual, and helplessness flashed through his dark, icy eyes.

Mu Wanwan also saw the ears that had appeared on top of his head.

Now that she was close enough to see them clearly—

They were not *that* bald.

The fur on them had merely become much thinner. *(:3」∠)*

The corners of Mu Wanwan’s lips lifted slightly.

Without hesitation, she shifted her body and slowly crawled out from the edge of the blanket. Before the enormously jealous dragon could react, she leaned against his chest.

Her body was still radiating heat.

The sensation of their limbs touching was painfully clear. A tingling numbness shot upwards from the base of Mr. Dragon’s spine, and his entire body stiffened.

What was she doing?

Why was she not angry?

“My Lord.”

Mu Wanwan had originally intended to call him Mr. Dragon, but she felt it was necessary to remind this dragon of his status right now.

Feeling his body tense instantly, she almost laughed.

“There aren’t any other fluffy creatures.”

Mr. Dragon heard her whisper softly—

“There aren’t any others. There’s only you.”

He seemed to become completely frozen.

Even his vision blurred slightly.

When he finally returned to his senses, he felt a small tug against the front of his robes.

He lowered his head and saw Mu Wanwan glance at him with a reddened face before immediately looking away.

However, her hand continued clutching the front of his clothing.

His little wife was clearly very nervous.

The bald ears that had been trembling constantly from anxiety gradually began moving less.

His body slowly relaxed, but his temperature continued rising.

Mu Wanwan had been rather hot beneath the blankets. After crawling out, however, the sweat on her skin met the chilly air outside, making her feel cold.

She shivered faintly.

“Cold?”

Mr. Dragon’s voice had once again returned to its deep, domineering, and aloof manner.

Before Mu Wanwan could react, an arm tightened around her waist and pressed her into his embrace.

Her cheek landed against his warm chest.

It was not soft at all.

There were even several hard ridges pressing uncomfortably against her face.

Mr. Dragon’s long arms wrapped around her while his face turned red where she could not see it.

“Are you still cold?”

It was probably his first time saying something so intimate. Even his voice trembled.

Mu Wanwan’s nose was filled with the cool, clean scent of his body.

She felt as though she were about to combust.

“A little… a little better.”

Neither of them knew what else to say.

The ambiguity in the air was nearly solid enough to touch.

A certain dragon tightened his arms around the person in his embrace. Gradually, he calmed down from his light-headed, stimulated state.

Then his gaze fell sourly upon the hairpin in her hair.

After restraining himself for a long time, he still could not resist saying—

“The hairpin.”

Hearing him speak jealous words in a tone that pretended not to care made Mu Wanwan feel strangely sweet inside.

However, she was still somewhat angry that he had taken so long to return.

“You first need to explain why you came back late.”

He had clearly promised to return within three to five days.

But Mu Wanwan suddenly remembered the miserable young Mr. Dragon covered in blood within the crystal sphere’s memories.

She also remembered the blood dripping from beneath his robes before she lost consciousness.

Suddenly, she no longer wanted to hear the answer.

“Forget it. Don’t tell me.”

Mr. Dragon released Mu Wanwan.

Under her slightly astonished gaze, he sat halfway upright with an indifferent expression.

Light flashed from his fingertip, and the previously illuminated room became completely dark.

Before Mu Wanwan could react, Mr. Dragon’s long arm pulled over the blanket and wrapped it around both of them.

Mu Wanwan, whose vision had become entirely black: “??!”

Mr. Dragon carefully concealed the broken horn on his forehead.

Taking advantage of the fact that he could see much more clearly in the darkness than she could, he accurately pressed his forehead against hers.

“It will take a long time to explain,” he said hoarsely.

Seeing his little wife widen her eyes in confusion within the darkness, he added—

“Cold.”

Mu Wanwan, who had just been completely arranged and bundled up by him: “…”

She felt strangely calm now.

Her emotions were no longer as intense as before.

She had discovered that although Mr. Dragon was extremely powerful and more than a hundred years old—far older than she was—deep inside, he remained the same childish dragon hatchling he had once been.

Still so sensitive.

Still so awkward.

Mu Wanwan listened to her heartbeat gradually accelerating in the darkness and thought, with extreme embarrassment—

Even so, he still made her heart race.

She still liked him so much.

They were extremely close within the darkness.

Mu Wanwan could hear his slightly hurried, warm, damp breathing.

“I encountered snow,” Mr. Dragon said.

He skipped over the part where he had encountered danger and nearly failed to return.

“It took a long time to find the sparkling things.”

Mu Wanwan knew he was definitely hiding something.

The sensation she had felt against his chest earlier suddenly flashed through her mind.

A suspicion gradually rose within her heart.

Biting her lip, she reached out and touched Mr. Dragon’s chest.

A suppressed groan sounded beside her ear.

Mu Wanwan became even more certain.

When she awakened and saw that the dragon appeared perfectly fine, with even his curse markings greatly reduced, she had assumed he had not suffered serious injuries.

But—

Beneath her palm, even through the brocade fabric, his chest felt uneven.

She could no longer endure it.

She did not want to watch him recover from his wounds alone and in silence again.

The young Mr. Dragon had done so.

The slightly older Mr. Dragon had done so too.

Now that she had finally reached his side, she would never let go again.

Mu Wanwan bit her lip and reached for Mr. Dragon’s belt.

She wanted to see exactly how many injuries this foolish dragon was attempting to hide from her.

Her thoughts were focused entirely on examining his wounds.

But from a certain dragon’s perspective →_→

His wife had suddenly touched his chest and was now undressing him…

The jealous dragon instantly transformed into a braised-red dragon.

Within the darkness, Mr. Dragon turned red from his cheeks all the way down his neck.

He could clearly feel every one of her movements, yet shamelessly did nothing to stop her.

He had not expected things to progress this quickly.

He had not prepared himself mentally.

And he did not entirely understand what he was supposed to do.

The other dragons used to say that if a dragon did not know how, it was deeply embarrassing and might even cause the dragon they loved to leave them.

He had once believed he would never need to learn.

Now he regretted it.

What if his wife despised his abilities…?

The light-black brocade robe slipped aside.

Mu Wanwan’s eyes gradually adapted to the darkness, allowing her to see faintly.

All she saw were enormous patches of red staining Mr. Dragon’s inner garment.

She carefully touched his chest.

The uneven sensation of countless intersecting wounds beneath her fingertips filled her with both heartache and anger.

“Wife…”

Mr. Dragon could barely endure her touching him any longer.

His breathing became rapid.

It felt as though flames ignited wherever her fingers touched him before spreading strangely towards certain other places, leaving the dragon uncomfortable and uncertain of what to do.

He had never experienced anything like this.

His large hand closed around Mu Wanwan’s wrist.

“It tickles,” he said in a restrained voice.

Mu Wanwan was furious.

She broke free from his hand, yet could not bear to push him away.

“You’re injured.”

When she spoke, her warm breath brushed across his lips.

Mr. Dragon’s breathing stopped for a moment.

Seeing the tears clinging to her eyelashes within the darkness, he rarely allowed himself to follow his instincts.

His large hand cupped her cheek, and his thumb brushed across the corner of her eye.

“It doesn’t hurt.”

His voice was unusually gentle but painfully clumsy.

The heat against her forehead had not faded. Instead, it had become even hotter.

“Don’t cry.”

Mu Wanwan understood that he probably did not want her to worry.

She merely closed her eyes and grasped his hand.

Only then did she discover that his palm was covered in sticky sweat.

“Mm.”

In the darkness, she intertwined their fingers.

“Take me with you.”

Mr. Dragon’s long eyelashes brushed across her face.

He quietly listened as she said—

“You’re never allowed to leave me behind again.”

Her words sent a tremor through the dragon.

All the hesitation and fear he had once carried seemed to vanish completely at that moment.

Although the room remained dark, Mr. Dragon felt as though his entire world had lit up.

Her coming to his side was more precious than anything.

Something bumped against Mu Wanwan’s nose.

Before she could recover from her sorrow, she heard him speak with restrained longing.

“Want…”

“A kiss.”

“May I?”

Mu Wanwan’s heart felt both sour and sweet.

She thought, *It isn’t as though you haven’t already stolen plenty of kisses.*

Yet her body honestly made no attempt to refuse.

She gently closed her eyes.

Gradually, she felt a warm, soft sensation against her lips.

His lips were very soft.

When he slowly kissed her, his movements carried the careful tenderness of someone cherishing a priceless treasure.

Their interlocked fingers gripped each other tightly, as though letting go would cause the other person to disappear.

Time seemed to stop.

Nothing else mattered.

There was only each other.

But their lips touched for only a few seconds before Mr. Dragon pulled away.

The innocent maiden dragon’s face was even redder than Mu Wanwan’s.

He hardly dared to look at her expression.

“…”

Mu Wanwan had not expected him merely to press his lips against hers so innocently.

However, compared with how he had rejected her before, the fact that Mr. Dragon no longer avoided her was already enormous progress.

There was plenty of time ahead of them.

They would have many more opportunities in the future.

But perhaps the dragon had discovered the pleasure of kissing while they were both conscious.

Just as Mu Wanwan prepared to explain the matter of the hairpin and discuss their future, she heard him say awkwardly—

“Again.”

Mu Wanwan: “…”

Her heart actually skipped a beat.

The woman and dragon were unbearably childish.

Within the darkness Mr. Dragon had created, they took turns leaning towards one another, gently pressing their lips together again and again.
