MDMSC Chapter 32

Legs Going Weak

Fang Anyan left the room with his legs spread awkwardly, gritting his teeth as he shut the living room door. He was in so much pain that he groaned all the way back to his own room.

Jun Yueyue felt like a small boat tossed about in violent winds and waves, without a moment’s rest. At times she was swept up to the crest of the waves; at other times, she was swallowed by the spray. But each time she was about to sink, she would slowly be spat out again from the mouth of the waves.

Her back was against the bathroom door, her whole body suspended in the air. The feeling of her feet being unable to touch solid ground was terrifying. The sense of weightlessness made her hold Fang Anyu’s neck tightly. At first, she could not help opening her mouth to beg him, but Fang Anyu could not hear. His whole person was completely opposite to his usual soft and gentle self. Perhaps he had been frightened badly, because when he held her, he gripped her so tightly she could barely breathe.

If Jun Yueyue still had her apocalypse-era build, Fang Anyu going this wild would not have been much of a problem. But now she was only an ordinary, petite body. Fang Anyu was an entire head taller than her. She always forgot that he was a man of normal height and build, but now she finally fully understood that he was not as gentle as he looked.

By the time the towering waves finally ended and everything returned to calm, Jun Yueyue could not even stand. She had never experienced this feeling of being controlled entirely by another person. Even more so, because of the five years of mutation during the apocalypse, her King Kong Barbie body had always made her feel that she was tough…

When Fang Anyu carried her out of the bathroom, Jun Yueyue was like a dead octopus, her arms hanging limply. After being placed on the bed and tucked into the quilt, one of her arms was pressed underneath her body, but she was too lazy to even move it or turn over.

The heavy rain outside had stopped at some unknown time. Only faint flashes of lightning still lit up the edge of the sky now and then. Jun Yueyue’s gaze kept following Fang Anyu around the room. He picked up their clothes, then found a hairdryer and sat by the bed. Not only did he dry Jun Yueyue, he also took apart her phone, which had accidentally dangled into the water, and dried it a little.

Jun Yueyue was exhausted to death, but she had no desire to sleep. She really was too stupid. She should not have agreed to him so quickly. At the very least, they should have moved from the bathroom to the bed.

Standing the whole time, suspended in the air, or bent over—fucking hell… it was too much of a test of stamina.

Fang Anyu did not have a single visible muscle on him, so she had no idea where such fierce stamina had come from. Jun Yueyue was puzzled. She never saw him exercising normally either…

The hairdryer whirred out warm air. Jun Yueyue rested her head on Fang Anyu’s lap, eyes closed, her mind full of what had happened in the bathroom just now. She opened her eyes and looked up at Fang Anyu from below. His hair was half-dry, and his bathrobe was loosely tied, revealing a long, narrow strip of his chest, still faintly pink.

Jun Yueyue was exhausted, but she did not want to sleep at all. She had never dated before, never liked anyone. This was the first time in her life. She had gotten together with someone she liked, and slept with someone she liked. Her heart was filled with uncontrollable happiness and satisfaction.

One of her toes poked out from under the quilt, curling happily to the rhythm of the hairdryer.

He really was so good-looking. Really so gentle. Although he had been wild the whole time, there was not a single red or bruised mark on Jun Yueyue’s body. She had not bumped into anything anywhere. Fang Anyu had held back the entire time and had not recklessly gone all the way. For a beginner just getting on the road, this was truly terrifying self-control.

He was gentle from the bones. He made people feel cherished by him. Jun Yueyue felt she had become a bit of a lovestruck fool. It was as if she had turned into a flower leaf held in Fang Anyu’s palm, carefully and meticulously wiped by him, glowing anew.

Jun Yueyue’s gaze was a little fixed. It met Fang Anyu’s as he dried her hair, and she could not help smiling.

She had so many things she wanted to say to him, but also felt that saying nothing like this was good too.

Fang Anyu’s fingers slowly moved through her hair. Their eyes met, and he slowly curved his lips too. His beautiful dimple appeared. Jun Yueyue stared at it for a while, then could not resist reaching out from under the quilt and poking the side of his face.

Fang Anyu tilted his head slightly, indulging her movement. His hands still carefully dried her long hair. The atmosphere between them was quiet and warm, and Jun Yueyue’s nose felt a little sour.

By the time her hair was finally dry, Jun Yueyue had lain there for so long that a little strength had finally returned. She sat up and clingily wrapped her arms around Fang Anyu’s neck. She could not describe her current feelings. Although the two of them had already had this kind of intimate contact before, that time had been under the influence of medicine. Her memory was not very good and had been truly chaotic.

Moreover, her state of mind then and now were completely different. The two of them had been intimate even before making things clear, but all of that was different from now. Now she truly felt incomparably close to Fang Anyu.

Fang Anyu also hugged Jun Yueyue, wrapping the quilt around her and holding both together. He placed his chin on Jun Yueyue’s head, tilted his face slightly against her, and closed his eyes. It was an extremely dependent posture.

It was already past three in the morning. Who knew how long the two of them hugged like that. Their eyes were both wide open, neither of them sleepy.

Once that clingy feeling finally passed, the two little creatures lay on the bed, face-to-face, holding the phone and typing to communicate.

Jun Yueyue’s phone was still not working very well, so she put it aside first. The two of them used Fang Anyu’s phone to communicate. Jun Yueyue explained why she had come back late tonight.

Fang Anyu read her explanation and only replied after a long while:

Oh.

“What do you mean, oh?” Jun Yueyue pressed voice input and quickly said, “I was just meeting friends, and they were all girls, really!”

With a whoosh, the voice message sent. Fang Anyu converted it to text:

I was just meeting friends, and there weren’t any girls, really!

Fang Anyu’s fingers paused after he read it. Jun Yueyue almost went crazy. Sometimes the voice conversion really was inaccurate, but Fang Anyu was not like before. His reactions were quite fast now. Most of the time, even when something was wrong, he could understand by guessing.

But for this kind of explanation, such a mistake was fatal!

Jun Yueyue hurriedly snatched the phone, deleted that message, and quickly typed:

My friends were all girls! I didn’t talk to any boys, really!

After Fang Anyu read it, his expression did not change much. Jun Yueyue’s scalp tingled, and she typed again:

Your brother was there too! If you don’t believe me, ask him!

But after typing that, Jun Yueyue then felt that if Fang Anyu really asked Fang Anyan, with Fang Anyan’s dog-like thinking of not wanting her and Fang Anyu to be together, he might lie!

So Jun Yueyue quickly typed again:

Don’t ask him. If he lies to you, I’ll be wronged to death.

I really only talked to two girls at the dance.

Jun Yueyue’s explanation was a little dry. Under the quilt, she rubbed her toes against the back of Fang Anyu’s foot.

Fang Anyu showed no emotional change. Actually, this kind of thing did not need to be explained at all. After all, a lover like Fang Anyu was the easiest to fool. In the original story, even when the original body came back with a big belly, he had not asked a single question. He even acknowledged the child that the adulterer refused to recognise. The one who went mad with anger on behalf of his brother was Fang Anyan.

But Jun Yueyue liked this kind of explaining too much. Even if Fang Anyu might not have intended to ask whom she had spoken to, Jun Yueyue still wanted to explain. It was like finally owning something precious. Of course, you would want to touch it and fiddle with it from time to time.

She had instantly gained both a husband and a partner. For Jun Yueyue, who had been single until death in her last life, she could not bear to let go.

After Fang Anyu read her explanation, he did not type. He only nodded. Jun Yueyue then explained everything in great detail, even telling him about how she had stood up for Jun Yu. She voluntarily confessed very carefully. Fang Anyu listened seriously. Just when Jun Yueyue thought he would nod again, he took out the phone and typed:

That Young Master Wu. I know him.

Jun Yueyue widened her eyes. Fang Anyu typed again:

Didn’t he always come to the house to pick you up before? Outside the door. I saw him. I knew you didn’t like him.

Jun Yueyue had not expected Fang Anyu to actually know the “adulterer.” In the original book’s description, Wu Zhenfei had only come to find Fang Anyu once later on, after the original body had scammed him so badly that he nearly ended up on the street and refused to acknowledge the child.

As for exactly what they said, the author had been mysterious and had not explained it. She had not expected Fang Anyu to know about the “adulterer” so early.

Speaking of this, Jun Yueyue remembered that the plot collapse was not limited to Old Master Jun wanting to give the company to her. Because after he decided on an heir, Jun Yu had not made trouble the way Jun Yue had in the original story, so Old Master Jun had not mentioned the matter of giving the company to whoever got pregnant first.

The plot was becoming more and more broken. The male and female leads had no chance now. It no longer looked like the book she had once read at all. Moreover, the familiar scenery and people in this book, the extreme weather, and even names and personalities exactly the same as in the apocalypse were becoming more and more confusing. Jun Yueyue felt as if she had transmigrated into a fake book…

Had she transmigrated, or had she been reborn? Was this world independent, or was it her world before the apocalypse?

She had to hurry and—

Jun Yueyue’s thoughts were scattering when Fang Anyu suddenly pinched her under the quilt. Her thoughts instantly broke off. She turned her head and saw him holding up the phone, showing her the words he had typed.

I know you don’t like the person who got engaged today… Then do you still like my brother?

Jun Yueyue almost forgot how to read. So her confession had been useless? Fang Anyu had not believed it at all?!

Before she could reply, Fang Anyu typed again:

Do you like Anyan more, or me more?

Oh, so he believed it, but thought she was a two-timing scumbag?

Jun Yueyue angrily snatched the phone and typed:

I don’t like your brother at all, okay!

Fang Anyu looked at her with those gentle eyes and did not reply quickly. Clearly, he still did not believe her!

That made sense. How long had it been since she transmigrated? The change had been so fast. Normal people would not believe it, and even someone abnormal like Fang Anyu would not believe it. In the plot, he had witnessed the original body pestering Fang Anyan, failing to force a kiss, and so on.

Jun Yueyue felt like this giant black pot was about to blow the lid off her skull. Fang Anyu finally typed, but what he said was:

It’s okay. It’s okay if I’m less.

I’ll work hard. I’ll work hard to make you like me a little more… Have you done it with my brother?

Jun Yueyue’s eyes almost popped out. She reached out to snatch the phone, but Fang Anyu dodged.

He asked again:

Who did it better, me or him?

Jun Yueyue was about to go insane. She sat up and snatched the phone away.

No no no! What nonsense are you asking!!!

After Fang Anyu read it, he only replied after quite a while:

Oh.

Oh your mother!

Jun Yueyue was about to curse!

She truly did not want to carry such a huge black pot. In a fit of hot-headedness, she simply typed quickly:

Actually, I’m not Jun Yue. My name is Jun Yueyue. I came from another world. None of the things Jun Yue did were done by me. I only have you as my man, and I only like you! You’ve read a lot of books. Do you know about transmigration? Rebirth? Or parallel worlds? Borrowing a corpse to return the soul!

This time, Fang Anyu took a rather long time to react. Jun Yueyue waited until her eyes were tired before he finally replied. After all, no matter who heard such words, they would sound fake. A normal person would think she was crazy. Would Fang Anyu believe her?

This was too absurd!

But she had not expected Fang Anyu’s reply to be:

What kind of world?

Jun Yueyue did not know whether to cry or laugh. She hoped Fang Anyu would believe her, but with Fang Anyu believing her so quickly, she had no confidence at all. Fang Anyu’s liking was too selfless. He was even willing to be her third party, did not mind that she liked someone else, and had even asked her to compare who was better in bed. This had no bottom line at all!

Jun Yueyue reasonably suspected that he was pretending to believe her in order to coax her. After all, his love was so selfless it was practically like God’s.

But she had been the one who insisted on explaining, so Jun Yueyue could only try to explain everything clearly: from which day “she” was no longer her, and from which day she had begun to be moved by him.

Jun Yueyue typed until her fingers nearly ached. She finally more or less finished explaining to Fang Anyu. She even briefly introduced the apocalypse she had once lived through. By then, the sky outside was almost bright.

Fang Anyu hugged Jun Yueyue and kissed her cheek. Jun Yueyue did not know how much of the idea she had spent so long instilling into him—that liking one person meant they could not be shared—he had actually absorbed, nor whether he truly believed her claim of coming from another world.

Before, Jun Yueyue had felt that Fang Anyu was too simple, too pure, someone who could be seen through at a glance. But now she discovered that although he could indeed be seen through at a glance, in certain moments, such as now, there was no way to tell any emotion from those zombie-crystal-clear eyes of his.

“Ah…” Jun Yueyue sighed. But after thinking about it, she laughed again. Fang Anyu was really good. Whether or not he believed her, he had seriously read every word she wrote. If he believed it, then he believed it. If he did not, then it was just a very long story she had told him.

In any case, she would not leave him like the original book had written. In any case, the plot had already collapsed beyond recognition. In any case, they could not even figure out whether this world was before the apocalypse. As long as she had the person beside her, she was not afraid of anything.

He was trouble. He was a burden. If the apocalypse really came, he would be a fatal drag.

But Jun Yueyue’s thoughts now were completely different from before they got together. So what if he was trouble? So what if he was a burden? Even when she had been completely alone, she had still died in the apocalypse. If the world really went mad and the apocalypse came again, then being dragged down by him early would spare her from suffering so much. Besides, even if she died, she would no longer be alone.

Maybe when she opened her eyes, the two of them would start over again.

She would still do her best to figure out what was going on with this world, but more important than that was cherishing the present.

Both of them were actually very tired, but neither wanted to sleep. Jun Yueyue held the phone, which was almost out of battery, and typed a line:

Oh right, I bought the fish for you yesterday. They’re in the living room. Want to go see them?

Fang Anyu nodded and quickly typed too:

Let’s go together.

The two of them did not even put on clothes. Wrapped in one quilt, they were like two silkworms struggling inside a single cocoon, shuffling in tiny steps to the living room.

The sky outside had already begun to turn pale like a fish belly. Even without turning on the lights, things in the room could already be seen clearly. The two of them tugged the quilt around themselves and crouched in front of the fish tank. The two fish clearly were not as energetic as they were. They overlapped, hiding in one corner. Jun Yueyue reached out and tapped the glass. Only then did they suddenly wake and swim backward together.

The moment Fang Anyu saw the fish, his eyes instantly lit up. He stretched out a finger and chased the two fish through the glass. Slowly, he smiled, and his smile was especially beautiful.

Seeing how much he liked them, Jun Yueyue felt her sense of achievement swell until it was about to burst. She found a switch beside the oxygen pump and flipped it. A ring of small colourful lights lit up inside the fish tank.

This was something she had discovered last night when setting up the oxygen pump.

It was probably part of a set with the oxygen pump. No wonder the fish in the large pillar in Wu Zhenfei’s hotel lobby had looked so dazzling and colourful. It was not that the fish had many colours, but that there were many colours in these lights.

Fang Anyu’s eyes widened.

Once the coloured lights came on, the two fish could be seen even more clearly. When they swam, even the water seemed to be coated in colour. It was especially beautiful.

Jun Yueyue’s legs grew sore from crouching on the floor, so she sat down while wrapped in a bit of the quilt. Fang Anyu sat down with her, pulled her into his arms, and wrapped the quilt tighter around both of them.

The two of them stared at the two fish in the tank as if they were looking at some rare treasure, unable to get enough. These two fish had a different meaning. They were their love-token fish.

Thinking of this, Jun Yueyue started laughing. She turned her head and met Fang Anyu’s eyes, then asked, “Do you like them?”

Earlier, when she had been begging for mercy, Fang Anyu had somehow been unable to understand no matter what. But this time, he understood and nodded.

If this specific scene had not been easy to understand, Jun Yueyue would have suspected Fang Anyu was doing it on purpose.

Jun Yueyue leaned against Fang Anyu and narrowed her eyes at the two fish. With no one disturbing them anymore, the fish had hidden back in the corner and overlapped each other to sleep. Jun Yueyue finally began to feel drowsy.

After making trouble the whole night, the two of them had completely used up their energy this time. Once they were satisfied from looking at the fish, the sky outside had brightened. Wrapped in the quilt again, they shuffled back to the bedroom in tiny steps and collapsed onto the bed together. Like two magnets, they clung to each other and soon fell asleep.

The two of them only slept in the early morning and did not wake until it was almost afternoon. Jun Yueyue woke first. She was woken by the heat. Not only were the two of them hugging each other, the quilt around them was also wrapped tightly. She was covered in sweat. When she opened her eyes and saw Fang Anyu’s enlarged face up close, an indescribable sense of comfort surged in her heart.

This person was hers.

This realisation made Jun Yueyue feel a kind of novelty she had never felt before.

Unlike family, they had no blood bond at all, yet they could be this intimate. Being able to stay so closely with another person for a lifetime was itself such a magical thing.

Jun Yueyue lifted her head and kissed Fang Anyu’s chin. The moment she moved, Fang Anyu also quickly woke. The first thing he did after opening his eyes was also kiss Jun Yueyue. His lips landed on her forehead, carrying a kind of cherishing that did not need to be spoken aloud.

Getting out of bed was usually very simple for Jun Yueyue. She did not even need any buffer time. After spending so long in the apocalypse, where she could be sent on missions at any moment, she simply did not have the habit of lying in bed.

But the two of them had slept until afternoon. From the moment Jun Yueyue woke up until she truly got out of bed, it took a full half hour…

Of course, the two of them did not really do anything. They only hugged stickily, kissed back and forth, and talked for a while. By the time they looked at the time again, it was almost four in the afternoon.

They really could not keep lying there. If this continued, their schedule would completely reverse. When the two of them climbed out of bed, got dressed, and went downstairs, it was 4:30 p.m. There was not a single servant in the room.

Both of them were so hungry their chests were almost sticking to their backs. Usually, when it was mealtime, servants would come and call them. But today, the house was deathly quiet. Jun Yueyue put her phone back together. This knockoff smartphone was truly tenacious. Once all the water had dried, it had regained function, basically unaffected from before.

But when she turned on the phone, she discovered that between eleven and twelve-thirty last night, Fang Anyan had called her more than thirty times and sent many messages too…

After Jun Yueyue had found Fang Anyu past eleven last night…

Her phone had accidentally fallen into water. Later, when she wanted to reply to Fang Anyan, then…

Aiya!

Fang Anyan must have come back last night, but…

Jun Yueyue remembered that their room door had not been locked this morning. She suddenly thought of something, and her old face could no longer hold up. It slowly turned red.

Fang Anyan had not called her again later last night, which meant he had definitely come back and already knew that both of them were home. But in that situation, how exactly had he known?

Also, no servants had come to call the two of them for breakfast or lunch today. Fang Anyan must have specially instructed the servants.

Jun Yueyue followed behind Fang Anyu. The two of them entered the kitchen one after the other, preparing to find something to eat. After entering, they discovered that a lot of food had already been prepared in advance. They only needed to heat it a little.

Jun Yueyue heated the dishes and rice. Fang Anyu was not idle either. Very skilfully, he turned on the gas stove and began frying eggs in a flat pan.

Jun Yueyue had known before that he could fry eggs. She had even snatched the egg from his bowl to eat. But her mood then was not the same as now. Now, no matter what Fang Anyu did, she felt he looked good and was amazing.

Love made people’s eyes come with their own filter, probably one magnified several hundred times. It filtered so strongly that whenever Jun Yueyue looked at Fang Anyu, she felt a little dizzy and weak in the knees.

After turning the microwave on, Jun Yueyue reached out and hugged Fang Anyu from behind. Fang Anyu’s movements did not stop. One hand held the spatula and flipped the egg, while the other touched Jun Yueyue’s hands around his waist. It was extremely natural.

It was as if the two of them had not only officially established their relationship yesterday, but were an old married couple who had already lived together for many years.

“Yu, oh Yu…” Jun Yueyue pressed against his back, mumbling meaningless words to herself. “What kind of Yu are you exactly…”

Fang Anyu could not hear her, but she shook him back and forth until he could barely stand steady. The corners of his mouth curved, but he did not turn around. He squeezed Jun Yueyue’s hand again, as if silently saying, don’t be anxious, it’ll be ready soon.

No matter what Fang Anyu did, he was especially serious and meticulous, putting his whole heart into it. He was like this when raising flowers, like this when liking Jun Yueyue, and also like this when focusing on frying eggs. When the heat was just right, he immediately scooped the eggs out, ensuring both sides were golden while the middle stayed runny.

When the two of them brought the reheated food and the fried eggs to the table, the living room door opened. A servant pushed Jun Yu in from outside. Seeing that the two of them had already started eating, she immediately said, “Aiya, look at this, this really won’t do. I just pushed Miss Jun outside for a walk… I’ll go make two more dishes right away.”

Jun Yueyue had half an egg stuffed in her mouth and vaguely called out to the servant auntie, “No need, Auntie. This is enough to eat. Anyu fried lots of eggs.”

Fang Anyu glanced toward the door, then lowered his head and focused on eating.

When Jun Yu met Jun Yueyue’s gaze, she hurriedly explained, “After you made that call yesterday, Fang Anyan didn’t have time to send me back, so he brought me straight here. I originally wanted to go back this morning, but…”

Jun Yueyue did not care at all. Before Jun Yu finished, she waved her hand. “There’s a lot of standing water, so just stay here. Go back after it’s completely gone. Are you hungry? Do you want to eat a little?”

She asked this, but Jun Yueyue had no intention of giving Jun Yu the eggs Fang Anyu had fried. She quickly put the last two eggs on the plate into her own bowl.

Jun Yu hurriedly said, “I’m not hungry. I ate at noon.”

However, she did not return to her room. Instead, the servant pushed her into the living room to drink tea. Jun Yueyue and Fang Anyu focused on wiping out everything on the table. Only when Fang Anyu went upstairs to look at the fish did Jun Yueyue sit on the sofa beside the coffee table and take the initiative to ask Jun Yu, “Do you have something to say to me?”

Jun Yu quickly put down her cup and nodded. “Sister, Grandfather called yesterday. He was especially angry and said you have to go back today.”

Jun Yueyue had known it. Jun Yu had not gone back this morning, surely because of Old Master Jun.

To prevent Old Master Jun from calling her, Jun Yueyue had not only added Old Master Jun’s number to the blacklist, but also set her phone to block calls from unknown numbers.

If her phone could not be reached, then he would definitely call Jun Yu. This was not surprising. After all, Jun Yueyue had run away.

“Then just tell Grandfather I’m not going back.” Jun Yueyue discussed it with Jun Yu. “I don’t want the Jun family, and I don’t want that piece of land either. How about we swap? Give me the shares, and you manage the Jun family. What do you think?”

Jun Yu froze for a moment, then shook her head. “Grandfather said that in the future, the Jun family will be decided by you. I have no objections, and I can’t go against Grandfather’s wishes.”

“How can you have no objections?” Jun Yueyue clicked her tongue. “You studied so hard in school and your grades were so good. My grades were a total mess. Can I manage the Jun family?”

“There are too many things I don’t understand, and I’d have to learn them all from scratch. You could directly take over. Of course you’re the most suitable one to take charge of the Jun family. Besides, Fang Anyan is pretty good. He has responsibility and a sense of duty. The two of you are quite suitable together, and after marriage your relationship will become especially good. Believe me…”

Jun Yueyue earnestly began trying to match the male and female leads together, but Jun Yu seemed as if she had eaten the iron weight from a steelyard and made up her mind. No matter how Jun Yueyue persuaded her, she shook her head.

“I can’t go against Grandfather’s wishes,” Jun Yu said.

“Why can’t you go against his wishes? Who made the rule that you can’t go against his wishes? He’s just an old man.” Jun Yueyue grabbed Jun Yu’s hand. “Most people become muddled when they get old. Besides, think about it. Why do you have to let others arrange your life? Have you ever thought about what you yourself want? Don’t you want to be the person in power of the Jun family?”

In the novel, Jun Yu had been described as a little white flower. But through contact, Jun Yueyue knew that Jun Yu was not a little white flower. She had ambition too. But perhaps because of the plot’s influence, she was like someone trapped inside a frame, unable to jump out.

Why should her own life follow someone else’s arrangements?

Jun Yueyue’s words completely shattered the beliefs that had already been swaying in Jun Yu’s heart.

Jun Yu’s eyes changed bit by bit, like sunlight refracting through a glass mirror, becoming colourful little by little. She looked at Jun Yueyue and asked, “Sister, you don’t like Fang Anyan anymore?”

Jun Yueyue laughed. Why had one person after another been asking her these past two days whether she liked Fang Anyan?

She clicked her tongue and said in an especially disgusted tone, “I don’t like him. Who would like him? He’s like a tyrannosaurus every day. We start fighting the moment we meet. Can’t you see that?”

“But before… Sister, you weren’t like this.” Jun Yu bit her lip, seeming afraid that Jun Yueyue would get angry. She carefully looked at Jun Yueyue and, seeing no change in her expression, continued, “Before, Sister liked Fang Anyan very much. You pestered him every day and even tried to…”

Jun Yu paused and nervously looked at Jun Yueyue. Jun Yueyue picked up the sentence for her. “Tried to drug him?”

Jun Yueyue laughed out loud. “Let me tell you, I drank that drug myself. It was so strong, hahaha…”

Jun Yu clearly had not expected Jun Yueyue to react like this. She was stunned for a long while before asking Jun Yueyue, “Then do you like Fang Anyu now?”

“Of course.” Jun Yueyue answered almost immediately. “I like him. He’s so gentle, doesn’t lose his temper, and is good-looking too. Unlike that tyrannosaurus Fang Anyan, who only opens his mouth and roars every day…”

“Who are you talking about?!” The living room door had opened at some unknown point. Fang Anyan stood there holding a bag, and he had only stepped in with one foot when he answered, “Talking behind someone’s back—careful your tongue rots.”

Because Jun Yu had been shocked by Jun Yueyue’s attitude just now, she had not noticed when the living room door opened. Being caught speaking about someone behind their back, although she had not said anything bad about Fang Anyan, made her face instantly turn red. It was too embarrassing.

Jun Yueyue had no such defensive awareness. She dared to say it even in front of Fang Anyan. She turned to glance at him and had originally planned to open her mouth and deal with him, but just at that moment, Fang Anyu came downstairs. Jun Yueyue suddenly remembered what had happened last night…

Fang Anyan must have entered the room and heard something. Thinking about the sounds she made last night… Jun Yueyue’s face also instantly flushed red.

Not only did she not argue back with Fang Anyan, she shot to her feet with a whoosh, very disloyally abandoned Jun Yu in the living room, and turned to run toward the stairs. But because she turned too quickly, her knee slammed into the coffee table with a loud bang, almost making Jun Yueyue collapse onto the floor.

Her stubborn willpower and sense of shame made her endure the pain and numbness. She ran to the stairs and dragged Fang Anyu, who had come halfway down, back upstairs.

Fang Anyan had been waiting for Jun Yueyue to argue back. Seeing that she actually ran away, his gaze followed her with curiosity. When he saw his brother, he suddenly also remembered last night… and his face reddened at a visible speed.

Three monkey butts—one ran upstairs, and the other two exchanged an awkward glance in the living room. Fang Anyan lingered at the doorway. Jun Yu moved her wheelchair, wanting to hide back in her room, but got stuck between the sofa and the coffee table. For the first time in her life, she wished she could immediately stand up and run into the room like Jun Yueyue.

Of course, in the end, she did not succeed. It was Fang Anyan who pulled her out from the gap between the coffee table and the sofa.

Jun Yueyue dragged Fang Anyu upstairs and locked the door behind them.

She really was too embarrassed to face Fang Anyan right now. She would probably need some time to recover. If she had not gotten together with Fang Anyu before, then it would actually have been nothing. Back when she had just woken in this body, she had even dared to change clothes in front of Fang Anyan.

But now she and Fang Anyu were together. Fang Anyan was her… brother-in-law. Fuck, this was too awkward.

Jun Yueyue leaned against the door, grimacing as she rubbed her leg. The hit just now had been too serious. It really hurt…

Fang Anyu noticed that something was wrong. He crouched in front of her and rolled the loose leg of her trousers up along her calf. Seeing the area beside her knee that had already turned bruised and purple in such a short time, he frowned slightly.

After standing up, he led her to sit on the sofa, then went to get the medical kit.

Jun Yueyue watched Fang Anyu come over with the medicine box, half-kneel on the floor, roll up her trouser leg, pour medicinal oil into his palm, rub it warm, and then massage the bruised area for her. Her heart could not help feeling sweet.

Sometimes, Fang Anyu made her feel like his brain did not work very well, such as his idea that he could share his woman with someone else, or the way he sometimes became so stubborn it was incomprehensible—like last night, when he thought she would not come back and abused himself by hiding in that little room to suffer.

But sometimes he really was so careful and so gentle…

With such a good partner, embarrassment was embarrassment. At worst, she would avoid seeing Fang Anyan for a while.

Jun Yueyue wanted to avoid Fang Anyan, but Fang Anyan wanted to have a proper talk with Jun Yueyue.

The last time he had asked Jun Yueyue out to talk, the things she said had been too creepy. He had even specially sent people to check. It was true. On the road near their house, the surveillance camera really was broken, and there really was a natural deep pit in that patch of woods…

Before, no matter how this woman had pestered him, it had not mattered, because her tricks could be seen through at a glance. But now, Fang Anyan could not see through her. Her various behaviours, so hugely different from before, left him completely confused. And now, she and his brother… had already reached this point.

Fang Anyan had to ask clearly what she planned to do. If she intended to use his brother, Fang Anyan would absolutely not allow it.

Having made up his mind, Fang Anyan put his bag back in his room and prepared to call Jun Yueyue out alone for a proper talk somewhere. Ideally, his brother would not be present, because now his brother was not on his side at all. He had already been completely bewitched by this woman.

But just as Fang Anyan was about to knock on the door and call Jun Yueyue out, he heard Jun Yueyue’s voice come from inside again.

“Ah… ah, ah, ah… it hurts!”

Fang Anyan: “…”
