As they placed the canisters on the plane, a strong gust of wind blew, causing all three of them to be thrown back and hit the ground, sustaining varying degrees of minor injuries.
A male zombie with half a burned arm had noticed what Li Jin and the others were doing. He didn’t care about being stopped by Cheng Rui and rushed over to disrupt their plans.
He didn’t dare touch the canisters lightly. In the next moment, Cheng Rui chased after him, and two fire dragons roared in the air, intending to engulf him.

Qingqing had no choice. Trembling, she got up and went to assist him in climbing onto the plane.
Before closing the cabin door, Li Jin looked at her with sadness and guilt, apologizing, “I’m sorry. I gave him that dose of medicine. It’s impossible for an esper to defeat a monster like the Zombie King without further mutation.”
Tears streamed down Qingqing’s face, and she couldn’t find words to say.
Li Jin started the plane and prepared to fly into the sky. A dark figure landed on top of the plane, emitting a furious and fierce beastly roar, trying to stop the aircraft from taking off.
Qingqing immediately unleashed a burst of light-based esper power, whipping heavily against his body. The intense pain didn’t make him let go easily. Seeing that the plane was about to be destroyed, she launched another massive blast of light-based esper power towards his head.
Zhou Hang, who had a tough and resilient body, couldn’t withstand the anti-zombie light-based esper power. He fell from the plane and crashed heavily onto the ground.
“Ah Hang!” The sharp howl of the female zombie resounded.
Yang Li, despite having one arm severed by wind blades, rushed to Zhou Hang, who had fallen to the ground, and threw herself over him, allowing the light-based esper power to leave a deep and bloody gash on her back.
The plane desperately soared into the sky, releasing the gas canisters. With a bang, the colourless and odourless gas exploded, reverberating through the sky. The world, shrouded in smoke, was swept by the shockwave, causing a moment of piercing tinnitus for humans, rendering them completely deaf.
The airplane in the air emitted green smoke from its tail and plummeted straight down. Li Jin in the cockpit had a relieved smile on his face. He had accomplished it. But in the next second, the plane exploded into ashes with a thunderous roar.
The zombie horde seemed to freeze instantly, as if someone had pressed the pause button. Then, large numbers of them fell to the ground, leaving humans standing there in disbelief.
Yang Li cried in heartbreak and despair. She could feel her body rapidly deteriorating.
Zhou Hang gently embraced her with his arms, blackened and scarred. Then, he kissed her lips and collapsed while embracing her in their final moments of life.
Fu Chen and Shen Mingxuan were already affected in the instant the shockwave occurred. They plummeted from the sky like kites with broken strings, crashing heavily onto the ground like corpses.
Qingqing hurriedly got up and rushed over, her voice hoarse as she shouted, “Fu Chen!”
Her figure, running desperately, entered the sight of both Fu Chen and Shen Mingxuan. The sorrowful and tearful appearance shattered their hearts.
