TVFCATEOD Chapter 66

Xiao Yang looked at Bai Qingqing and wondered why she was eating so little tonight.

Shen Mingxuan’s eyes flashed with disgust. Another woman trying to seduce men with her looks, but her acting skills were even worse than Bai Qingqing’s.

His gaze fell on Bai Qingqing’s face. She had changed a lot after losing her memory. She no longer caused trouble or held them back. The only despicable thing was that she hadn’t changed her intention of seducing men.

Xiao Yang, Cheng Rui, Fu Chen, and even him… He couldn’t possibly have any favourable impression of Bai Qingqing. He despised women who tried to please others with their vulgar ways.

Shen Mingxuan’s expression turned extremely ugly. He suddenly stood up, leaving the table with a statement.

Bai Qingqing looked at Fu Chen next to her to see his expression.

To her surprise, he lowered his eyes and held her fair little hand under the table, squeezing and kneading it, as if playing with a small object.

Her face flushed slightly, and she tried to maintain a natural expression. Her damp eyes glanced at Dr. Liang.

However, Liang Zhiyu’s gaze fell on Xu Meng, but his eyes were indifferent, making her feel like a piece of dead meat on an operating table, sending shivers down her spine.

Xu Meng suddenly had the urge to put on a jacket. She awkwardly sat down and asked, “Where are we sleeping tonight?”

Liang Zhiyu pushed his glasses up and said, “There are living quarters in this apartment building.”

Xu Meng disagreed, “The outside is full of zombies. It’s not safe to go out.”

“You don’t have to worry about that,” Liang Zhiyu replied.

When Shen Mingxuan returned from outside, he inadvertently caught a glimpse of Fu Chen holding Bai Qingqing’s hand under the table and playing with it. His peach blossom eyes shimmered with a cold, icy light.

He clenched his teeth. Their interaction seemed a bit too intimate for “siblings.” Bai Qingqing had lost her memory, so maybe even her brain had gone bad, as she didn’t know how to avoid suspicion with her brother.

“Pack up and get ready to go upstairs,” he reminded coldly.

Xiao Yang stood up and asked, “Qingqing, do you need help with anything?”

Bai Qingqing forcefully pulled her hand back and smiled brightly at him, “I have some things that are hard to carry. Come help me.”

She had already noticed the possessiveness shown by Fu Chen, which was not a good sign. She relied on Fu Chen’s support to deal with the other men easily.

If Fu Chen developed any emotions beyond sibling love for her, his overbearing and sinister nature would never allow anyone to touch her. She recalled his declaration of breaking someone’s leg and felt a bit scared.

She had to establish her sister image and remind him to be aware of their identities.

“Brother, I’ll go up first.” She turned and smiled at Fu Chen, regardless of his expression, and followed Xiao Yang.

Fu Chen’s scorching gaze made her shiver. She quickly ascended to the second floor.

It was not until they reached the second floor that she let out a sigh of relief. She looked up and saw Xiao Yang staring at her. He listened to the sounds downstairs and approached her, embracing her intimately.

“Qingqing, why didn’t you eat the chicken wings I served you? Do you hate me now?”

The tall and slender young man held her like holding a doll, tightly and without any gaps.

She felt a bit breathless and pushed against his scorching body, “Get away, don’t get too close.”

Xiao Yang didn’t want to let go of her. He pleaded, “Don’t move, just let me hold you for a while.”

The girl’s soft body struggled in his embrace, causing a friction that brought a hidden desire. His breathing became heavy, and he gritted his teeth to control the heat building up inside him.

Bai Qingqing’s body stiffened, unable to believe what she saw. She looked at him and said, “You…”

Xiao Yang looked ashamed, biting her shoulder. “I’m so embarrassed, Qingqing. You have to take responsibility for this.”

Bai Qingqing blushed with anger, “Let go of me.”

“Just a moment,” Xiao Yang acted spoiled and refused to let go. “I just want to hold you for a while. It’ll be over soon.”

Bai Qingqing reached out and pinched the flesh around his waist, hatingly saying, “You pervert.”

Xiao Yang smiled, showing his tiger teeth. “I’m only a pervert with you, Qingqing. I really like you.”

Others say virtuous women fear shameless men, but he didn’t believe that he couldn’t win Qingqing’s heart through persistence. Perhaps it was because he was growing more and more fond of her that he couldn’t control his reaction.

Bai Qingqing’s earlobes turned slightly red, and a hint of pink spread across her beautiful swan-like neck as she allowed him to hold her tightly.

The scorching breath of the young man and the increasingly loud heartbeat filled the quiet corridor with an ambiguous atmosphere.

“What are you doing?” A voice broke the silence.

Bai Qingqing immediately raised her head and saw Liang Zhiyu standing on the second floor. She squinted her foxy eyes, unable to discern his expression behind the gold-rimmed glasses.

She quickly pushed Xiao Yang away, her cheeks tinged with shyness, and explained, “Dr. Liang, it’s not what you think.”

Liang Zhiyu smiled ambiguously, “Is that so?”

Xiao Yang felt frustrated being pushed away and glared at Liang Zhiyu, “What are you doing up here?”

Liang Zhiyu exuded a calm and cool temperament as he said, “I came up to get something and happened to encounter a little wolf harassing a rabbit.”

Xiao Yang was speechless and pulled Bai Qingqing back to their room, saying, “Qingqing, don’t you need to get something?”

Bai Qingqing didn’t dare to be alone with Xiao Yang again. She pushed him away with both hands and said, “Girls’ rooms are not for random entry. You go downstairs first, I’ll come down soon.”

Xiao Yang insisted on entering and turned back to instruct her, “If you can’t carry it, call me.”

Bai Qingqing waved her hand and waited until he went downstairs. Liang Zhiyu stood in front of her and asked calmly, “Have you decided to be with Xiao Yang?”

Bai Qingqing remained silent for half a second and looked at him with clear innocent eyes. She said, “Why would you think that?”

“That kid’s mouth is wide enough to reach his ears. Everyone can tell that he’s been very happy lately,” Liang Zhiyu stated calmly.

Bai Qingqing thought for a moment and pulled him into the room, locking the door.

“Dr. Liang,” she said innocently and pitifully, looking at him with pleading eyes. “Do you know that I haven’t lost my memory?”

Liang Zhiyu chuckled softly, his voice pleasant to the ears. He looked at the girl in front of him, pretending to be a little lamb, and took a step closer.

Bai Qingqing took a few steps back, leaning her frail back against the cold wall, looking up at him.

Liang Zhiyu reached out and propped his hand beside her head, looking down at her charming and tender white cheeks, and said leisurely, “Yes, how do you plan to bribe me to keep quiet?”

Bai Qingqing understood in her heart. Indeed, she hadn’t fooled the old fox. With his deep and unpredictable nature, he saw through everything. He just enjoyed watching the show and didn’t expose her.

Instead of pretending to have amnesia and trying to win him over, it was better to admit her true intentions. Perhaps he would be more interested.

Bai Qingqing pretended to be timid, her eyes watery and filled with fear and panic. She said, “What do you want?”

Liang Zhiyu reached out and pinched her chin, slowly lowering his head, coming close to her face, his voice gentle. “Little sweetheart, don’t be afraid. I won’t do anything to you.”

“Liang Zhiyu…” Bai Qingqing nervously met his gaze.

Liang Zhiyu’s icy fingers caressed her chin gently as he said in a gentle tone, “I won’t tell anyone. You can continue being Fu Dui’s good little sister.”

Bai Qingqing’s clear eyes flickered with a mixture of black and white, and she timidly asked, “Really?”

“I won’t lie to you,” Liang Zhiyu’s voice, as smooth as jade, carried a hint of temptation. He whispered, “Close your eyes.”

Bai Qingqing couldn’t help but close her eyes, her heart pounding faster and faster. She felt a moist sensation on her eyelids—it was his gentle kiss.

While others kissed on the forehead, cheeks, or lips, he had kissed her eyes, with an irresistible tenderness.

Bai Qingqing opened her eyes, her clear gaze fixed on him. Suddenly, a bold idea crossed her mind. She reached out and grabbed his gold-rimmed glasses, her voice soft and tender. “Dr. Liang, you actually look very handsome without glasses.”

She took off his glasses, revealing his cold and captivating fox-like eyes. With his handsome face, he was truly enchanting.

Liang Zhiyu remained still, looking down at her.

Bai Qingqing tiptoed slightly, tugging at his collar, and coquettishly said, “Lower your head.”

Liang Zhiyu obediently lowered his head, and she imitated his manner, kissing beside his eyes, her soft lips bringing a gentle touch.

He felt a slight tremor in his heart, emotions surging in his eyes. So, she wasn’t a rabbit or a little lamb. She was a little fox.

An old fox and a little fox, quite a fitting pair.

A smile flickered in Bai Qingqing’s eyes as she let go of him, maintaining a distance. She returned his glasses and said, “Can’t you see without glasses?”

Liang Zhiyu put his gold-rimmed glasses back on and said, “No, my prescription is not that high.”

Footsteps could be heard in the corridor outside, and Shen Mingxuan’s voice rang out, “Liang Zhiyu, are you done?”

Bai Qingqing looked up at him, a hint of exciting anticipation in her eyes, and whispered, “What should we do? He’s looking for you.”

Liang Zhiyu’s handsome face remained calm, and he hooked his finger under her chin. “You’re the one who dragged me in.”

Shen Mingxuan didn’t find Liang Zhiyu after checking two rooms. He frowned as Xiao Yang had said he saw Liang Zhiyu on the second floor.

“Liang Zhiyu, are you not upstairs?” he called out.

Inside the cramped room, Bai Qingqing and Liang Zhiyu stood together, both understandingly choosing not to speak, only the sound of their shallow breaths could be heard.

Shen Mingxuan couldn’t find anyone and prepared to leave. As he passed by Bai Qingqing’s room, his actions were quicker than his mind. He raised his hand and knocked on the door, saying, “Bai Qingqing.”

The knocking sound made her nervous. Bai Qingqing cleared her throat and said, “What’s wrong?”

Shen Mingxuan heard her impatient tone and his voice turned cold, “You’ve been dawdling for half an hour, why haven’t you come down yet?”

“Don’t need you to rush me, I’ll go down right away.” Bai Qingqing’s voice was icy cold.

Shen Mingxuan clenched his fist, feeling a bit annoyed, and walked away heavily.

Bai Qingqing let out a sigh of relief. She almost thought Shen Mingxuan had discovered Liang Zhiyu hiding in the room. It was really frightening.

Liang Zhiyu looked at her playful appearance and found it adorable. He spoke softly, “We didn’t do anything, why are you acting like we’re having an affair? Afraid of getting caught?”

Bai Qingqing glared at him and said, “You’re a man, I’m a woman, and we’re in my room. Others might misunderstand.”

“My mistake.” Liang Zhiyu flashed a trace of helplessness in his eyes. Clearly, she was the one who forcefully dragged him in, but now he was being treated as if he had done something wrong.

Bai Qingqing opened the door, peeked out left and right, and then pushed him out, closing the door with a bang.

Liang Zhiyu touched his nose, faintly curled his lips, and returned to his room, casually picking up something before heading downstairs.

Bai Qingqing stayed in the room for a while, then carried a small bag on her back and went downstairs. Only Fu Chen was in the living room; the others were nowhere to be seen.

She felt a bit uneasy. Although her brother had psychic abilities, he wouldn’t be twisted enough to use his powers to monitor her, right?

Fu Chen took her small bag and saw the sweat on her pure forehead. He pulled out a tissue from the table and handed it to her. “What’s the rush? You’re already sweating.”

Bai Qingqing wiped the sweat with the tissue, feeling a bit embarrassed. “Brother, I made you wait for too long.”

“Let’s go,” Fu Chen reached out to hold her hand.

Bai Qingqing instinctively avoided it.

The surrounding air instantly dropped to freezing temperatures as the man’s profound black eyes stared at her, carrying a chilling and intimidating scrutiny.
