She didn’t expect these men to not pay any attention to her.
Xu Meng snorted coldly. If they wanted to find Li Jin’s team, they couldn’t abandon her. Once they found Li Jin, they would understand that she had more charm compared to the other two inexperienced girls.
“I will guide you.” She showed a charming expression to the men and said, “You all must remember to protect me. If anything happens to me, you won’t be able to find Li Jin for sure.”
The men exchanged indifferent glances but knew that what this woman said was true. Despite their dislike for her, they had to protect her.
Fu Chen gave an order, “You’ll follow Xiao Yang. He will protect you.”

In the critical moment, the few of them couldn’t afford to think too much. Xiao Yang grabbed Xu Meng by the collar, treating her like merchandise, and pulled her along. Bai Tiantian tightly clung to Liang Zhiyu’s arm, stumbling as she followed him.
Bai Qingqing looked back while walking and saw Fu Chen using his electric ability to kill wave after wave of zombies pouncing at him. His expression remained calm and composed, showing no trace of fear.
“Watch your step!” Shen Mingxuan’s cold and stern voice came from her ear.
Bai Qingqing turned her head and stepped over two stairs, her delicate face turning pale. She continued to run upwards without saying a word.
There were also zombies ahead, but they were fewer than the ones on the lower floors. Liang Zhiyu and Xiao Yang worked together to eliminate them, carrying the two women and continuing to run.
They reached the thirteenth floor. Xu Meng broke free from Xiao Yang’s grip and rushed to the entrance of the corridor, pounding on the door and urgently shouting, “Open the door! Let me in! Hurry!”
Bai Qingqing, pulled by Shen Mingxuan, also reached the thirteenth floor. Her throat felt like it was on fire, and she coughed uncomfortably.
Xu Meng frantically pounded on the door. A man with a gun walked out and immediately opened the door, checking her safety.
Xiao Yang pushed Bai Tiantian inside and turned to look at Bai Qingqing, rushing over to pull her. “Qingqing, come quickly.”
Everyone entered the iron door, and loud noises echoed through the corridor. The man with the gun wanted to close the door, but Bai Qingqing stopped him. “There are people behind us.”

During the argument, Fu Chen’s figure appeared in the corridor. He quickly entered the safe zone, closed the sturdy iron door, and the howling zombies outside were blocked.

Xu Meng explained, “They came out from the Yao Yang base. Their mission is to bring Li Jin back.”
Bai Qingqing looked at her upon hearing that. The team’s mission was indeed to bring Li Jin back, but it seemed like Fu Chen had another idea.
He wanted to lead the team to the City of Death first before returning to the survivor base.
The man’s expression changed slightly upon hearing Xu Meng’s words and said, “Come with me first.”
The building was located in the center of the commercial street, with many people renting residential spaces for shops and small companies. All the doors of the rooms on the thirteenth floor were open, and everyone gathered in a spacious room.
The man led them inside, and they exchanged glances.
Bai Qingqing swept her gaze around and looked past several men wearing military uniforms. She looked at a young man dressed in white, wearing black-framed glasses, giving a stiff impression.
The system’s prompt sounded appropriately: “Target mission Li Jin has appeared. Please complete the side mission as soon as possible.”
Everyone here had come for Li Jin, indicating how important his identity was.
