MDMSC Chapter 15

Kiss — 3-in-1

Just as Jun Yueyue was staring blankly, there was finally the sound of a door opening and closing upstairs, followed by a low cough. Jun Yueyue’s gaze snapped back from the brief curve of Fang Anyu’s lips, which had already returned to its usual straight line. Together with Fang Anyu, Fang Anyan, and Jun Yu in the room, she looked toward the second floor.

It was indeed Old Master Jun coming down. He walked toward the stairs, his arm supported by the old maid. Jun Yueyue clearly saw that Old Master Jun’s steps were actually very quick, but after descending one stair, he paused to accommodate the old lady supporting him.

Who knew who was supporting whom?

Fang Anyan rose from the sofa. Jun Yu sat even straighter and was the first to speak, calling out in an extremely soft and delicate tone, “Grandpa.”

Jun Yueyue did not want to call some unfamiliar old man Grandpa. In any case, she did not plan to leave Old Master Jun with a good impression, so she simply ignored the form of address. Holding Fang Anyu’s hand, she walked toward Old Master Jun and said as she walked, “If you hadn’t come down soon, I really wouldn’t have been able to stop myself from asking Auntie to prepare the food. I’m so hungry my stomach’s stuck to my back!”

Unlike Jun Yu’s soft and delicate tone, Jun Yueyue’s voice had nothing to do with softness. It was crisp and bright, and not quiet either. Old Master Jun’s steps paused as he walked downstairs, and he glanced at Jun Yueyue.

Then his gaze briefly swept over the curls on her and Fang Anyu’s heads.

“I’m old now, so I get tired easily. You must have been waiting a long time.”

Old Master Jun was wearing a soft set of home clothes. If not for the cold, assessing glance he had cast over when coming downstairs, people might really have mistaken him for a very kind and ordinary old man.

But even when he smiled, even with the deep smile lines at the corners of his eyes, the sharpness of someone long used to being in power could not be concealed. His gaze was almost tangible, piercing into people.

Jun Yueyue was not affected in the slightest. After all, no matter how frightening Old Master Jun was, he still was not as frightening as a third-tier zombie from the apocalypse. And no matter how sharp Old Master Jun’s gaze was, it could not burn a person’s skin like the rays from a third-tier zombie’s eyes.

However, Jun Yueyue not being affected did not mean the other three little ones were not affected. Fang Anyan was so nervous he stood upright like a primary school student. Jun Yu’s “Grandpa” had sounded very soft just now, but now that Old Master Jun had come close, Jun Yueyue suspected that Jun Yu might stand up in the next second.

As for Fang Anyu beside her, this not-very-sharp little fool originally did not know what fear was. Who knew what Fang Anyan had drilled into him on the way here? It was probably something equivalent to Old Master Jun being a monstrous flood or savage beast. Fang Anyu was gripping Jun Yueyue’s hand so hard it hurt a little.

Old Master Jun stood by the stairs on the second floor. After he spoke, Fang Anyan immediately said, “We haven’t waited long.”

Facing Old Master Jun, Fang Anyan honestly found him a little different from what he had imagined. His tongue felt slightly tied. This meeting with Old Master Jun was crucial for the Fang family’s business. He did not dare speak recklessly, afraid of ruining everything.

Behind him, Jun Yu also echoed softly, “We’re not very hungry either…”

Fang Anyu could not speak, so he consciously did not step forward. His eyes, however, were also fixed in Old Master Jun’s direction. Jun Yueyue had no doubt that as long as Old Master Jun looked this way, Fang Anyu would definitely nod obediently.

“You two aren’t hungry? Then was my stomach the only one putting on an opera just now?”

Jun Yueyue pulled Fang Anyu over to Old Master Jun. In front of Old Master Jun, she patted Fang Anyu’s shoulder and said with a grin, “Just listen to the two of them talking nonsense. Anyway, I’m hungry. You asked me to bring Anyu back for you to see, and I’ve brought him. A new grandson-in-law has come to the door today, so you absolutely have to make something delicious!”

Old Master Jun narrowed his eyes slightly, as if he did not recognise this eldest granddaughter in front of him. Without leaving a trace, he looked her up and down before smiling and saying, “Of course. Anyu, is it? That’s a good name.”

Old Master Jun also reached out and patted Fang Anyu’s shoulder. Then he turned back and said quietly to the old lady who had been supporting him, “Have them prepare the food. Make it plentiful. And open a bottle of wine.”

As Old Master Jun walked toward the left, he said, “Anyu, Anyu. Peaceful and free from worries. He looks just as his mother described him. His temperament must be quite good.”

After Jun Yueyue saw the old lady leave, she let go of Fang Anyu and took over the old lady’s position, supporting Old Master Jun as they walked toward the side. She nodded and said, “His personality is especially good. He’s very easy to bully.”

The old man smiled and shot her a sidelong glare, his eyes full of feigned reproach. If Jun Yueyue had not known that all of this was a false appearance, she might really have thought there was some deep grandfather-granddaughter affection between this old man and the body she had transmigrated into.

Fang Anyan was left to the side for a moment. Jun Yu also looked somewhat anxious. Jun Yueyue swept her eyes over their reactions without leaving a trace, thinking, *What the hell are you anxious for? Do you not even want to keep up appearances anymore?*

She helped Old Master Jun sit at the table, then walked back to the sofa and instructed Fang Anyan to help Jun Yu into the wheelchair and push her to the table as well.

The wheelchair stopped beside Old Master Jun. Jun Yu directly tilted her head and hugged Old Master Jun’s arm, pressing her small face against it. “Grandpa, has your health been all right recently…”

This was true grandfather-granddaughter affection. Jun Yueyue stood nearby, close enough, yet always keeping a bit of distance, maintaining a silent detachment.

The kitchen had probably prepared the food long ago, because the dishes came very quickly. Several servants took turns bringing food out from the kitchen, and all five of them sat around the table.

Old Master Jun wiped his hands with the towel brought by a servant and was the first to pick up his chopsticks. Only then did he say, “Eat. You’re all children of the family, no need for empty formalities.”

Those words were interesting. Fang Anyu, who had married into the family, could be counted as a child of the family, but Fang Anyan was not yet qualified.

From the beginning, Old Master Jun had not properly looked at Fang Anyan. Fang Anyan had originally been so nervous that the veins in his neck were about to pop out, but after hearing Old Master Jun’s words, the hand holding his chopsticks slowly relaxed a little.

Jun Yueyue also had no mood to analyse their words or observe their eyes. Too tiring. She merely tilted her head, watching Fang Anyu’s movements, the smile at the corners of her mouth never stopping.

Fang Anyu looked very restrained, not as casual as he was at home. He ate very, very elegantly. This was the first time Jun Yueyue discovered that when he ate, he could be this graceful. If everyone stayed silent and an outsider came in to look, Fang Anyu’s etiquette and posture would even draw more attention than Fang Anyan’s. No one would think he was disabled.

But having seen Fang Anyu eat until he vomited at home, seeing him like this now made Jun Yueyue keep wanting to see him lose composure. So she ate absent-mindedly while stretching out her foot under the table. First, she stepped on Fang Anyu’s shoe.

Fang Anyu’s movements paused. He turned his head slightly and glanced at Jun Yueyue with confusion in his eyes. But he did not, as usual, take out his little notebook and try to communicate with Jun Yueyue. Instead, he turned back and continued elegantly eating the food closest to him.

Aside from the sound of chewing, there was almost no other sound at the table. Everyone was even breathing carefully. Old Master Jun was also very quiet because he had hardly eaten anything, and had been observing the four of them the whole time.

Jun Yueyue behaved for a while, then stretched out her foot again to hook Fang Anyu’s ankle, rubbing against him until he truly could not bear it anymore. Under the table, he gently bumped Jun Yueyue’s leg.

Jun Yueyue let out a brief laugh, successfully attracting the attention of everyone at the table. Old Master Jun looked over with a heavy gaze. Everyone else, including Fang Anyu, became slightly stiff. Only Jun Yueyue did not care at all. She reached up and flicked her own curls, then looked at Old Master Jun and said, “You don’t know, I was laughing at Anyu. He’s really especially nervous about meeting you. He usually doesn’t eat like this.”

Fang Anyan’s gaze looked as if it could burn straight through Jun Yueyue. Old Master Jun also revealed a smile and asked, “Oh? Do I look very frightening? Then what is he usually like?”

Old Master Jun seemed to be smiling, but his tone was careless. The gaze he directed at Jun Yueyue was also a little cold. Clearly, he was not satisfied with her behaviour.

Older people liked things to be proper and strict. As for the younger generation, they also enjoyed that feeling of being treated with great respect, especially in a family like theirs.

Jun Yueyue’s attitude would not have been a problem in an ordinary family. But when someone disliked you, no matter what you did, they would not like it. And even if Jun Yueyue tried to please him, she would not gain anything good from it, because the original owner had played her cards far too badly. Her previous misdeeds could not be smoothed over in a day or two.

Besides, her eye-catching curls and increasingly bright features, now that she no longer concealed them, all made Old Master Jun, who had been strict and self-disciplined from birth, feel uncomfortable.

Who cared whether he was comfortable or not? Jun Yueyue only cared whether she herself was comfortable.

She put down her chopsticks with a loud clang. Her movement was quite large, and she knocked into the plate beside her, causing it to buzz and tremble on the table for a few moments before stopping.

Jun Yueyue ignored Old Master Jun’s slightly furrowed brows and said with a grin, “You don’t know. Usually when he eats, he doesn’t know when he’s full. Just a few days ago, he ate so much that he finally had no choice but to vomit.”

As soon as she said this, Fang Anyan’s expression sank to the bottom. Jun Yu’s expression also did not look good. Only Old Master Jun, an old piece of ginger after all, managed to keep his face mostly steady. “Does Anyu have a poor appetite?”

“Of course not.” Jun Yueyue shrugged. “He just can’t feel when he’s full. He can’t say it, and he can’t hear other people advising him either. Grandpa, did you not know?”

This was the first time Jun Yueyue had called Old Master Jun “Grandpa” since entering the house. But she used a very light voice for this “Grandpa,” without any respectful tone. Instead, it was filled with sarcasm.

Jun Yueyue had to say these things. This time, she had no intention of leaving a good impression on Old Master Jun, nor did she plan to fight for that piece of land. But she still had to ask for the money she deserved.

If she wanted money, and wanted a little more of it, she had to make Old Master Jun feel guilty. Of course, making him feel guilty was somewhat difficult. Jun Yueyue chose the simplest and crudest method: make Old Master Jun lose face.

As a grandfather, he had arranged such a marriage for his granddaughter, marrying her to such a person. Even if his conscience could accept it, could his old face bear it?

Moreover, his purpose this time was clearly to matchmake Jun Yu and Fang Anyan. Jun Yueyue did not believe Old Master Jun did not know how madly the original owner liked Fang Anyan.

Knowing that yet still doing this, in the end, was favouritism. The original owner had been stupid and did not know how to use this favouritism, but Jun Yueyue did.

Besides, everything she said was true. Fang Anyu really did have these problems. The truth was always harsh to hear, because even if Old Master Jun did not like listening, he still had to listen.

Fang Anyan, however, thought Jun Yueyue was humiliating Fang Anyu. These past few days, he had thought this woman had changed for the better, but he had not expected her to be waiting here!

He gripped his chopsticks so hard his fingers turned white. But he could not throw them down and yell at Jun Yueyue like he did at home.

Fang Anyan lowered his head and stopped looking at Jun Yueyue. He was afraid that if he looked at her again, he would not be able to hold back. The Fang family truly needed to rely on the great tree that was the Jun family. At this critical moment, Fang Anyan could only endure for now.

But of course, Jun Yueyue did not want to humiliate Fang Anyu. Since transmigrating until now, Fang Anyu was the only person Jun Yueyue was willing to spend some effort on.

Originally, she did not need to care about Fang Anyu. After all, once they returned, they would sign the divorce agreement. But she did not want to hurt Fang Anyu, so when she said these words, she was smiling at Fang Anyu, smiling so tenderly that Fang Anyu could not guess what she was saying at all.

She even patted Fang Anyu’s leg under the table to comfort him.

But to anyone else watching, her behaviour looked like deliberate provocation.

Old Master Jun’s face finally could not hold steady anymore and darkened. Everyone’s movements stopped as they waited to see what demon Jun Yueyue would act like next.

But Jun Yueyue simply picked up her chopsticks again, placed food into her mouth, and said as if nothing had happened, “Eat, everyone. Why aren’t you eating?”

She even picked up the flavours Fang Anyu usually liked and piled them onto his small plate. Under the table, she patted his leg and smiled, signalling for him to eat.

After ruining the other three people’s appetites, Jun Yueyue began eating very seriously. Fang Anyu could not hear what the others were saying. Although he could sense that the atmosphere was not right, Jun Yueyue kept smiling at him and signalling for him to eat. He had been hungry to begin with, and before long, he followed her and began eating without a care in the world.

So in the end, only Jun Yueyue and Fang Anyu ate well during this meal. Before long, Old Master Jun used discomfort as an excuse to go upstairs. Jun Yu returned to her room. Fang Anyan could not lose his temper here, so he could only follow a servant back to his own room for now.

Only two people were left at the table. Fang Anyu kept eating. Jun Yueyue roughly knew his appetite. Today’s dishes were exquisite but the portions were small. Fang Anyu was probably only half-full right now.

So she did not stop him. After she was full, she propped her hand against the table and watched Fang Anyu eat. Whenever Fang Anyu’s eyes landed on a dish, Jun Yueyue reached out with her own chopsticks and picked some up for him. She looked exactly like a little maid from ancient times serving dishes to a noble.

“You really are my little ancestor,” Jun Yueyue muttered while placing food into Fang Anyu’s bowl.

Fang Anyu saw Jun Yueyue’s lips move and wanted to know what she had said. Seeing that no one was around, he quickly took the little notebook from his pocket and wrote—

What are you saying? Also, why did they all stop eating?

Jun Yueyue simply moved all the dishes he liked right in front of him, piling them into a little mountain. Only then did she take the little notebook and reply—

That old man probably doesn’t have much of an appetite. As for your brother and my sister, didn’t you know they secretly ate something on the way here?

This was completely fooling the little fool, but Fang Anyu easily believed it after reading. He even asked in confusion—

When did they eat? Why didn’t I know?

You were asleep. I even asked your brother to save some for you, but he refused.

Fang Anyu did not quite believe it, because since childhood, his younger brother had always let him have everything. But Jun Yueyue’s expression looked especially serious.

Seeing Fang Anyu struggling over it, Jun Yueyue took the notebook and quickly wrote—

Hurry and eat. If the servants clear the plates later, you won’t get to eat anymore!

Jun Yueyue pushed his arm. Fang Anyu quickly picked up his chopsticks and continued eating.

Midway through, the kindly-looking old lady came down from upstairs. When she passed by the table, she no longer looked kindly at all. Jun Yueyue was now completely certain that she definitely had something going on with that old man. Otherwise, why would they share such common hatred?

Old Master Jun was dissatisfied with Jun Yueyue, but what right did an old servant woman have to give her attitude?

Jun Yueyue would not indulge her. She called out, “Hey, my husband likes eggs. He still isn’t full. Go fry one for him.”

The old lady, who had originally been looking at Jun Yueyue out of the corner of her eye, showed an extremely surprised expression. Perhaps no one had ordered her around in so long that she really thought of herself as the master.

“Go. Why are you standing there?” Jun Yueyue frowned and put on the airs of a young miss.

Jun Yueyue’s appearance was already too bright and striking, and her whole person gave off a very flamboyant feeling.

Add to that all the years she had spent struggling and crawling through the apocalypse—when she did not restrain herself, she always carried a heavy aggressiveness, like a sharpened bone-cleaving knife.

Under her urging, the old lady actually walked toward the kitchen. But her steps were hesitant, as if she felt that she should not be doing this kind of thing.

But many things could not be brought into the open. Feelings were very useful in front of people who cared about them. But in front of someone like Jun Yueyue, who did not care about anything, this old lady’s identity was a servant. Even if Jun Yueyue had seen something, if she ordered her around, the old lady still had to go.

If the old lady really dared to do anything to Jun Yueyue, Jun Yueyue would not give her face just because she was old. If things were taken to Old Master Jun, no matter how much he usually turned a blind eye and indulged this old lady, he would not openly protect her. After all, he still needed face. If he protected her, wouldn’t that prove he had been fooling around with his own servant?

The old lady was fairly clever and naturally understood this logic. She obediently went to fry the egg. Only, at her age, she experienced a desolation she had not felt for a long time. No matter how deep and meaningful her private relationship with Old Master Jun had been over the years, having no official status was still her fatal weakness.

Only after Fang Anyu finished eating did the old lady bring over a badly burnt fried egg. Jun Yueyue truly did not want to argue with her. After all, she was just an old woman.

But when the old lady placed the egg on the table, the plate hit the surface with a loud clatter. Fang Anyu could not hear, but Jun Yueyue was not deaf.

Coincidentally, Fang Anyu had also finished eating and put down his chopsticks. Jun Yueyue directly flipped the plate of fried egg over onto the table. “What the hell is this? Frosted donkey dung?”

Jun Yueyue looked at the old lady’s somewhat awkward expression with great curiosity and asked her, “Is this how you usually serve my grandfather?”

The old lady had already regretted it a little when she put the plate down. But she had not cooked in a very long time, and just making this fried egg had burned a blister onto her hand.

“Where is our room?” Jun Yueyue could not be bothered to tear into her. She only wanted the old lady to take the two of them back to their room.

After returning to the room and closing the door, Jun Yueyue threw herself onto the large bed. After sitting in the car all the way here and waiting so long for that old man, Jun Yueyue really was a little tired.

Fang Anyu curiously walked around the room once, then suddenly threw himself onto the bed as well, bouncing Jun Yueyue up a little.

Jun Yueyue laughed. She braced herself with her feet, lifted her body into the air, then dropped down hard, bouncing Fang Anyu up a little too…

Then the two of them acted like kindergarten children, bouncing each other for quite a while before finally lying face to face properly and beginning to write in the little notebook again.

Your grandfather is a little stern. Was he unhappy when he saw me? Earlier, when he left early, did he say something to me that I didn’t hear?

Fang Anyu had been worried throughout the entire meal. Now that he had relaxed, he quickly asked Jun Yueyue.

Jun Yueyue clicked her tongue and wrote—

What’s stern about him? He just has the face of a resentful woman. Of course he wasn’t unhappy because of you. You’re so cute. He also didn’t speak to you. He knows you can’t hear.

Fang Anyu took it and read it word by word, sentence by sentence. Only then did he breathe a sigh of relief. Before coming here, Fang Anyan had repeatedly instructed him to behave well. Fang Anyu had been afraid that he might have done something wrong and made Old Master Jun unhappy, causing him not to help their family’s business anymore.

Seeing Fang Anyu’s solemn face, Jun Yueyue knew he was overthinking again. She bumped his calf with hers and wrote—

Do you like little fish? The one you touched today. If you like them, I’ll give some to you when we go back. We can put them right in the middle of the row of flowers on the balcony.

As expected, Fang Anyu’s attention was quickly diverted by Jun Yueyue.

I like them! Really?!

Before Jun Yueyue could take the little notebook back, Fang Anyu wrote another sentence—

You’re really giving them to me? Why!!!

The three exclamation marks deeply expressed just how much he liked those red goldfish with round bellies and round eyes.

Sometimes Jun Yueyue sighed inwardly. Even if this was a novel world, Fang Anyu was still a wealthy young master. How could he be so pitiful, like someone who had been locked in a cage since childhood, having seen nothing, finding everything curious…

Jun Yueyue sighed and took the little notebook to write—

I’m really giving them to you. Of course it’s because you’re cute. How many do you want?

Fang Anyu quickly replied—

Any number is fine! Then do I need to buy something to hold them? What do they eat?!

Jun Yueyue looked at the handwriting, which had become messy because he had written too quickly, and confirmed that Fang Anyu’s reactions really were becoming faster and faster.

So at the beginning, when he had been so slow, it was probably because no one usually talked with him.

Such a grown man, yet because of a few fish, he could no longer even lie still and had sat up. Jun Yueyue had never before felt so satisfied because she was giving someone something.

Mainly, Fang Anyu’s reaction was too irresistible. He was so excited that Jun Yueyue was infected by him. Clearly, she was the one giving the gift, yet she also became so excited it felt like she was the one receiving it.

Jun Yueyue smiled as she watched Fang Anyu actually begin bouncing his leg. If Jun Yueyue did not reply soon, he looked like he was about to jump onto the floor.

Jun Yueyue was wicked and deliberately kept him waiting until Fang Anyu grew anxious enough to start pushing her. Only then did she write—

You don’t need to find anything separately. I’ll buy everything and give it to you: the fish, the fish tank, and the oxygen pump. If we buy all those things, the shop owner will give fish food too. Goldfish can only eat fish food. You can’t feed them anything else.

Before, if the words were even a little longer, Fang Anyu would need a long time to react. But now, with such a long paragraph, Fang Anyu understood it all very quickly.

The corners of his mouth lifted again. This time, Jun Yueyue was sitting across from him and discovered that when he smiled, there was actually a little dimple on the left side of his face. It was shallow and especially pretty.

With the corners of his lips curved and that little dimple showing, Fang Anyu wrote—

You said you’re giving me little fish because I’m cute. I also think you’re very cute. Is there anything you like?

Jun Yueyue had not stopped smiling. She discovered that only when she was with Fang Anyu did she keep laughing endlessly. Perhaps it was because the years she had spent struggling in the apocalypse had been too bloody and difficult. After suddenly arriving in this world, even teasing a little fool had become an especially interesting thing.

Jun Yueyue asked Fang Anyu—

Are you going to give me something?

Fang Anyu nodded.

Is there anything you want?

Jun Yueyue smiled and shook her head, then wrote—

There’s nothing I want. But some time ago, I asked you what you wanted. Have you thought of it?

Fang Anyu wrote—

Little fish.

The little fish are something I’m giving you on my own initiative. That doesn’t count as what I promised you before. Think carefully about whether there’s anything you want. You can think bigger.

Using a few little fish as payment for that night really did not seem appropriate. Jun Yueyue genuinely thought Fang Anyu’s foolishness was quite cute. If he had been a normal person, she absolutely would not have agreed to any conditions.

She might even have bitten back and demanded compensation from the other party. After all, this world was unlike the apocalypse, where in the face of life and death, men and women had achieved true equality. This world still tended to see women as the weaker side. In society’s eyes, sleeping together for one night meant the man had taken advantage.

Fang Anyu thought quite seriously for a while before finally writing—

I can’t think of anything.

If Jun Yueyue had not mentioned giving him little fish, Fang Anyu would never have thought that even if he liked them, he could also own them.

He had been used to making himself “not troublesome” for too long. So long that he no longer knew how to reach out and fight for anything. This was not something that could be changed overnight.

Jun Yueyue wrote—

Then save it for now. When you think of something, tell me. Consider it something I owe you.

If it had been before, even just a few days ago, Fang Anyu would have shaken his head and said there was no need. But over the past few days, he had already become so familiar with Jun Yueyue that he nodded happily.

The two of them lay on the bed and wrote more meaningless conversation for a while. Jun Yueyue was extremely patient. Since lying on the bed was resting anyway, she simply had long conversations with Fang Anyu paragraph by paragraph, training his reaction ability and comprehension.

This method was indeed effective for Fang Anyu. The only downside was that it wasted paper…

The little notebook they had bought that morning was already densely filled with the two of their dog-crawl handwriting. There was no room left, even the cardboard backing had been written on.

Jun Yueyue flipped the little notebook back and forth, searching for space. There was no room on the cover either. Only one clean patch remained beneath the three-dimensional little butterfly on the cover, but there were shiny little stars inside it. It would be a pity to peel them off…

Fang Anyu got up and searched around the room, but he also could not find anything suitable to write on. Outside, the sky had already darkened. Without realising it, the two of them had spent an entire afternoon in the room. They had not slept; they had just been writing…

Jun Yueyue had not even worked this hard in her final year of high school. Only when she got up from the bed did she realise she had been holding in her pee. After going to the toilet and washing her hands, Fang Anyu was still rummaging through the room.

She took out her phone and glanced at the time. It was already past five in the evening.

The phone!

Jun Yueyue quickly typed on her phone, then brought it in front of Fang Anyu. Fang Anyu quickly understood. Jun Yueyue handed the phone to him, signalling for him to type too.

Unfortunately, he did not know how…

You don’t know pinyin either? Jun Yueyue asked.

Jun Yueyue opened the handwriting input panel on the phone, then handed it to Fang Anyu and demonstrated it for him. Only then did he slowly start writing on it.

I know pinyin.

Then this thing is pinyin. You’re probably just not familiar with it. Wait. Tomorrow I’ll take you to buy a phone and teach you!

You’re so good to me.

Fang Anyu wrote those words and handed them to Jun Yueyue. It was already dark outside, and the room lights had not been turned on yet. The light from the phone shone on Jun Yueyue’s face, making her smile look a little wicked.

She reached up and rubbed her own face. Just as she was about to raise her head to look at Fang Anyu, a light kiss, carrying warm, damp breath, landed on the side of her face.

Jun Yueyue raised her head to look at him. Fang Anyu was close at hand, his eyes brighter than her phone screen, almost dazzling.

Her cheek was lightly touched again. Jun Yueyue held the phone in her hand, but pressed out a pile of gibberish. Forgetting that he could not hear, she opened her mouth and asked, “What are you doing…”

Fang Anyu could not hear her. Another kiss landed on the corner of Jun Yueyue’s lips. It carried a tentative meaning, along with a person’s sincere and genuine liking—gentle, warm, wet, and eager.

As for how the two of them ended up kissing, even Jun Yueyue, one of the people involved, was not quite sure. The room was pitch black. The phone had been thrown face-down on the bed. Her arms were wrapped around Fang Anyu’s neck, and Fang Anyu held her waist. Tangled together, unwilling to separate, they moved from the edge of the bed all the way to the side of the table.

Jun Yueyue was held by Fang Anyu and sat on the table, tilting her head up to be close to him, their lips and tongues entwined. It was the first kiss between the two of them. From the initial awkwardness to the later deepening, both of them became dizzy.

There was a buzzing in her ears. Jun Yueyue felt as if Fang Anyu had infected her with deafness. It was not until the door was pushed open and Fang Anyan stood gripping the doorframe, frowning at the two of them, looking both awkward and wanting to retreat, yet also furious, that Jun Yueyue suddenly regained her hearing.

“Time to eat.”

Three words, spoken by Fang Anyan through gritted teeth.

Jun Yueyue wiped the moisture from her lips, pushed away Fang Anyu, whose expression was a little dazed, and jumped down from the table. When she met Fang Anyan’s gaze, she felt a rare bit of guilt…

She knew why Fang Anyan was angry at her. It was because the things she had said at the dining table earlier were indeed unacceptable from a family member’s perspective. But Jun Yueyue did not explain. If people did not look out for themselves, heaven and earth would destroy them. She wanted money. As long as she did not directly hurt Fang Anyu, she would still say what needed to be said.

Besides, Jun Yueyue did not think Fang Anyan would repeat those words to Fang Anyu. After all, Fang Anyan cared about Fang Anyu more than she did.

“I know,” Jun Yueyue coughed and walked to the wall to turn on the light.

Fang Anyan, however, was still standing at the door and had not left. Looking at his brother’s innocent, confused face, he bit the inside of his cheek. In the end, he lowered his voice and said to Jun Yueyue, “Don’t forget, you two are getting divorced when you go back. Treating my brother like this—what exactly are you trying to do?”

Jun Yueyue straightened her clothes and leaned by the door, also lowering her voice. “If I said your brother kissed me first, would you believe it?”

“Bullshit!” Fang Anyan pointed at Jun Yueyue’s nose. “Don’t you know what condition my brother is in? What can he understand? You—”

“Cough.”

At some point, Jun Yu had come out of her room and was turning her wheelchair toward the corridor. Behind her was Old Master Jun. She coughed softly. Fang Anyan immediately withdrew his hand and stood properly, then quickly walked to Old Master Jun’s side and took over pushing Jun Yu’s wheelchair.

Jun Yueyue really did not want to eat this meal. She had eaten quite a lot at noon and was not hungry yet. Moreover, the strange atmosphere at the dining table was likely to cause indigestion.

But Fang Anyu digested very well. He had to eat all three meals on time. Thinking of this, Jun Yueyue could not help curving her lips again. He had been acting like a hooligan just now, but now he must be hungry.

So she completely ignored Jun Yu and Old Master Jun walking toward them and directly closed the door. After closing it, she walked to Fang Anyu’s side. Seeing that he was still standing there in a daze, she reached out and patted his face.

“Come back to yourself, little fool…”

Jun Yueyue muttered quietly, then picked up the phone from the bed and typed—

Time to eat. Let’s go downstairs to eat!

The atmosphere at dinner was still just as strange. Because Old Master Jun had just been given a “closed-door rejection,” his expression looked even worse than at noon.

As a result, Fang Anyan and Jun Yu ate without knowing what anything tasted like, focusing entirely on Old Master Jun’s face. In the end, the ones who once again ate full and well were Jun Yueyue and Fang Anyu.

That night, Jun Yueyue and Fang Anyu returned to the room. After washing up, the two little ones lay on the bed and switched to communicating through the phone.

Fang Anyu typed especially, especially slowly. He also had to use the full keyboard pinyin input. An adult’s fingers sometimes pressed the wrong keys, and sometimes he spent ages unable to produce a single sentence.

Jun Yueyue did not rush him. Half-understanding and half-guessing, she stumbled through some meaningless conversations with him. For example, the toothbrush bristles prepared here were a little hard and not as good as the ones brought from home. Or Fang Anyu said the shower gel smelled quite nice, and Jun Yueyue told him they should pack it and take it away when they left.
